HI!I have an issue with displaying the data in a cell. We created a report in DevExpress and want to make it displayable in an excel sheet. All data is shown correctly in every cell. However in one cell the data is cut off and not all data is visible.The cell has the options 'Can shrink', 'Can grow', 'Multiline' and 'Word Wrap' enabled.What can I do to ensure that the entire text is visible?Attached are printscreens of the report.Kind regards,Linde   

Per request of our users, I am changing the theme of the Windows GUI to a “Dark” mode.All is going quite well, until I open the filter form. Marked in pink I have typed something (it is white text).As everything is in a darker tint, the font colour is set to white, but in the Filter Form it is working against me. I did type something marked in the pink box.What setting in the theme is responsible for the filter form Field colour and.or what is doing the text colour?It does not seem to count as a “form” as those would look different in active mode:Add mode in form (mandatory / free field). 

Hi, I’m trying to set up something along these lines; My client wants to grant his clients access to a screen to see status of running projects, and also create some tickets. To do this, these users need access to the app, and be given access to this ‘viewing’ module. I would like to create a task that enables the user to do this. Fill in first and last name, email address and save. This task saves the user in the account_user table (every account has users of course), and syncs this with IAM. The user will receive an email with a link to set a password. And can then access the module. In short, is this possible? And what would be the best approach of setting this up? And of course, my client should also be able to delete / deactivate this user.Blommetje

How do I set the number of copies in a process flow which calls a report. I added the gui_rpt_number_of_copies parameter. I give it a value in the default of the task which triggers the process flow. I added a parameter gui_rpt_number_of_copies in the process flow. The parameter gets its value, but in the report step the parameter is set to 1.  

Hi eveyone,I’m trying to create a screentype for a view, but unfortunately some of the components show in a strange way or they do not show at all. I have created them before with success, but it just not seems to work this time. Is there anyone who can tell what is wrong here, I’m probably overlooking something? View: “zaag_voorschrijving_picken_buis_groep” Screentype: “zaag_voorschrijving_picken_buis_groep_universal”Screentype:Design: Assigned to subject: Result: Location:  Conclusion:The screen type is selected and showing on the screen voor the view.  The grid is not showing (this makes the tasks also hidden behind a button), but I don’t know why.  If I create a screen type with only a grid, the data is showing in a grid.  If I create a screentype with only a form, the data is showing in a form.  If I create a screentype with both, the grid is not showing????What makes this grid hidden? Hello everyone,We have, in our software solution, two measurement systems. Imperial and metric. In the imperial form the numeric values are written down as fractions, so in nvarchar values. This is because that is the custom for the system in the countries that use the imperial system.Because we know that can lead to some interesting things we added a regular expression to it so the user can only add a valid fraction. But when following the following steps some strange behaviour occurs:I fill in a new machine (on the machine screen); I fill in wrong values; I get the validations as expected; I try to hit cancel to get out of the screen; The screen does not disappear; The screen suddenly disappears and sometimes gives an unknown error after fixing the validations, I shall also add the Indicium log, as that may be of interest; The same goes for adding, after fixing the validations it immediately adds the machine, this is not  very user experience friendly as it might be a slip of the pen

Hi,I have a process flow, after saving a new document is opened, here I have indicated that the document should be opened as 'Modal document'. I want to perform some actions in that screen and then close the document. After closing this document I want a new process flow to be started, so I used close document as a starting point. But nothing happens when I close the document.Can it be true that this process action does not work as a starting point from a modal document?

We have created this week multiple API functionalities and we tried to do them with the new web connection.We encountered multiple times for it in HTTP Connector to work just fine but in this with the same parameters to not work at all.It worked from what we saw just for endpoint that didn't have parameters in their url, for those that had it was not working and in most of the cases we just got EMPTY as result (this is very annoying).This happend until we reached an endpoint which was able to tell us that what we want to access does not exist and that when we used a regex to output our results, because first we tried with json and it failed without knowing why.This is the base setted up in web connection.And this is the endpoint setted up before we knew the problem, you can say it looks just fine, but in reality it is not.Those are the parametersAnd this is the response that we were able to see in process flow monitorIt basically ignore the first part of the url and the last part of it

Hi,We have a customer that basically uses smartphones to accessing our Universal application. They had the remark that the open documents view takes up to much space and requested if it can be removed. I read the existing topics and configured the HideOpenDocuments extended property on the application level in IAM (gave it a value “true”). I have checked the “Expose to front-end” option and restarted the App Service, but the open documents view remains. I have tested this both on a tile menu and a tree menu.Any ideas what I might have overlooked?

Hi, One of the key users of one of my TW applications asked me if it is possible to run the Dutch program in English?I tried to change the language to English in the IAM which looked promising but the dates are also in US format: Additionally I can't find where I can add the language in the SF.

hi,As an ISV we install our end-user databases on our customer’s servers. That means that we cannot always set the default collation of the server. How can we set the collation for a new Thinkwise database generated with the Thinkwise Deployment Center? Or could it be set in the model?

I’ve created a new code group called ‘BACKUP’. This code group is placed just before the ‘UPGRADE’ code group to create a back-up of the chosen database (runtime configuration).The new code group should be automatically ON in the ‘Execute source code’ screen, but must be excluded from a deployment package. I expected that the checkbox ‘Show at deployment’ may solve this problem but unchecking it will also remove the code file from the ‘Execute source code’ screen.What does this checkbox do? And what does ‘Fixed file’ do?

Yesterday we updated to the newest version (2024.2) of universal, but now we have unwanted behaviour in the ‘start report’ process action within a process flow. Previously it would just open the PDF file in the browser. However, since the updates it downloads the file instead of opening it. We do not want this.Is this a conscious change? Can we change a setting so it will open instead of download?Thanks in advance!

Hi,I was wondering if it's possible to disable the ‘auto selection’ of a row in Universal. This in part with auto-edit/save enabled can lead to wrongful data entries by accident without even noticing (fat finger mistakes).In the Windows GUI this behavior already exists. Even if auto-edit is enabled the user has to knowingly click on a row to ‘activate’ it for auto-editing. I've looked into the available extender properties but to no avail. Thanks!

On MySQL there is a clear difference between the TIMESTAMP data type and the DateTime datatype.If you want to store when an event in Amsterdam starts, you store the value as DateTime, as a user who wants to go to the event wants to know the time the event starts in Amsterdam.If you want to store when a record changed you do this as TIMESTAMP, as the user wants to know when it happened relative to his local time.Is there a way that can I make sure that Thinkwise handles this correctly? 

Hi ,We have to get the files from the google drive and then process it to get the data from the file.The format of the file is .xml and they are currently zipped.In order to extract the data from these files, I need to unzip them and convert the xml format to JSON format. The data further will be stored in various tables.I learnt from the docs and community that the folder needs to be empty where it needs to be unzipped.The connection to google drive is working and I can get the list of the files in the drive. I tried to unzip these files using the unzip connector (by placing the zip file in the location manually) and connecting the task directly with the unzip file connector, however while testing got error as below :  Process flow: Below are my questions :  How can I store the file into storage location using write file if its still zipped. Is there any document that can guide to create a temporary directory using a GUID and unzip the contents in that directory,as mentioned in below

I am not able to get the process flow monitor to work via SF or IAM. I have indicium via a container and Universal runs on Linux with Nginx and websockets enabled. How do I troubleshoot? 

We have a HTTP connector flow, very simple GET toch check if a code exists. It uses basic authentication. The HTTP connector flow works. I added the same to a web connector with the base URL and basic authentication and the endpoints. The only difference is I get a 401 not authorized via de web connector but not via the HTTP connector. There is no logging to debug further.  How to proceed? 

Hi,For a project we have the acceptance, development environment on the same server.But the performance and speed of the application is very slow. Is it possible to remove the development environment from server and keep only the acceptance env, so that the speed will be improved? Thanks,Rucha

When trying to upload a pdf file to azure blob using write_file_connector, we get the following warning:  The file did get upload to the azure blob. We checked the file storage location in the SF and the max size in MB is empty. It seems to be a problem in the process action. What could be the reason for it?

We have plans to start to use the Universal GUI instead of the Windows GUI. But we are running into an issue regarding screen types. On all our screen types we try to maintain a standard layout for the taskbar, prefilters and the combinded filter. This looks like this: In the Windows GUI it looks like this: But in the Universal GUI it seems to show it in the opposite order, first the combined filter then the prefilters and then we see a action bar and then the tasks. This looks like this:​​​​​​​And user prefilters are also not grouped and all over the place: If we would insert an actionbar screen component in the screen type, we do get the correct order in the Universal GUI:  But then the Windows GUI isn't correct anymore: So it seems the Universal GUI is showing something completely differrent than what has been setup in the SF, or are we missing something?Is there a way to have the same layout in the Windows GUI and the Universal GUI?​​​​​​​
