Automatic data model creation

In our application designing process one person describes the model and of course, a crucial part of the description is the database model drawingWe discuss this and com to a version that can can be creted in the thinkwise SFI would like to know if there is an easy way to jump start this step (looking at the theme developing 10x faster) Two questions: about the ai generation, can please someone tell me what I'm missing? Is there a way to import some kind of database scheme? For example, I experimented with designing with dbdiagram.io/ that can export a creation script fror sql. If we could import that, that would save a considerable amount of time. I did see the option to create an AI generated model (which did not work for me for some reason

DB markup language

We are looking at DBML a DB markup language that grows with you. Is that something that Thinkwise could support? Especially in scenario's you don't start with the Upcycler and you start building data structures together with a client. https://dbml.dbdiagram.io/docs

Determine filter condition in "Change filters" process actionOpen

When using “Change Filter” in a process flow it always reverts to “Equals”, it would be more useful if the filter condition could be changed, to  “Contains” for instance.Also, the Docs article on the subject contradicts itself on this matter:Filter values on columns of a specific subject can be set with this process action. It can be indicated for each column which filter condition and which filter value must be used.However: The filter value that must be set on the column in question as an equal to filter condition. This parameter is present for every column of the subject.

More options in Process flow action Change FiltersMerged

Currently the Change Filters-process action works with static values and ‘Equals’, as stated in the documentation:The filter value that must be set on the column in question as an equal to filter condition. This parameter is present for every column of the subject. It would be nice if there are more options, like ‘is not empty’, ‘starts with’ etc, just like the normal Filter function.

🚀 Platform improvements for week 24

Hi everyone!We’ve released the following platform improvements this week:SF - 2024.3, 2025.120250611 - Removed temporal clean-up When the system flow responsible for clean-up of the Software Factory would be abandoned by Indicium (due to a reboot) or fail (loss of connection), the Software Factory database could end up in an unusable state where a temporal table would not be linked properly to its history table. This would in turn prevent merge sessions, history overviews and data migration set-up from working properly. We've turned off this functionality for now and will re-enable this once we can guarantee the robustness of this clean-up process.

Hello,  I'd like to understand what value should be set if I would like to have a sequence to execute the process action?From what I know, if the value of the process action is set to 0, it means the action will not be executed.-- Follow-up process actions. The number assigned to them will determine the order in which they are (depth first) executed. A value of null, 0 or a negative value means the process action will not be executed. Here’s an example of my process: in my decision workflow, I want the "Send User" action to execute first, followed by the "Email Connector" or vice versa, what is the depth first order number? where to view this? should I put 1 being the first one to be executed and 2 is the second? and so on...code snippet on decision process to check: if @notification_type = 'both'   begin   set @execute_user_notification_stop = 0 set @Send User = 1 set @Email Connector = 2 end    Thank you in advance

Auto-edit grid can trigger process flow

I am working with a grid where auto-edit is applied. In the documentation (https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows_actions#add-row) it says the ‘add row’ process flow action should not be triggered, but it does when the row is added by pressing enter when the cursor is at the last column of the grid. Is this a bug? I would like the process action to be triggered when the row is added regardless, but I believe that should not happen as is explained in the documentation. What is the intended behavior here? And is there another way to trigger a process flow action when a row is added on an auto-edit grid?

DevExpress decimal separator remains American

 I have set in DevExpress that the amounts use a Dutch format, I also see this when I do a preview in DevExpress, but when I upload the report in the SF and generate a preview via the application, it uses the American format by default. DevExpress preview:  Universal preview:

Refresh outputs -1 in a process flow

Hello!I have a process flow with a 'Refresh table’ process action.The table that should be refreshed is a detail of a table opened in a modal document. The process flow is triggered by an iFrame which is a detail of the table that should be refreshed.Everything is executed successfully but the refresh process action(it outputs -1 and the table is not refreshed). Do you know why this may be occurring?

What happened to the field "Table Alias" (alias_tab_id)

The field alias_tab_id is no longer visible in the form of Tables (detail of Data Model). We have linked functionality to this field and we do not like the fact that the field still exists in the underlying table, but is no longer visible and also no longer editable. We make use of the field in dynamic models.Can it please be made visible and editable again?

Add a link to the database log entry for errors in the live error log.Open

When a SQL error occurs in universal you sometimes get a link to the database event log and the live error log. The live error log shows the error, the database event log shows the initial request with a copy statement option. The live error log does not include this copy statement option, which makes sense because this is just a raw error output. However for trouble shooting please add a link to the database event log entry in the error log, so you can copy the code there. live error log:  database event log:

Application status gets stuck on 'will be taken offline'

Hi, The applications in IAM keep the status: 'will be taken offline’. This has been happening since last week, before that the 'Take application offline’ task would immediately take the application offiline. Does this have any influence on the running application? Commit auto-save after switching screens

Hi all,Is it possible to commit the auto-save when all the field of a form are entered or when switching screens?In our application, the auto-save commits every time one column is updated. This is linked to a handler and process flow, so every commit takes some database processing power and time. When users work fast (e.g. click an answer in a combo box and fill in a textbox afterwards), the commit hasn't processed the first action, sometimes resulting in loss of data.In the GIF, you can see I entered 'Ja’ on question 4. When I select the next question, and go back to question 4, the answer is set to ‘Onbepaald’. As far as I know, this is due to the handler and process flow actions.   I want to know if it is possible to only commit the auto-save when a next question/detail is selected, so the screen will only commit once.Thanks in advance.Kind regards,Rick

API request works for basic auth but not for Oauth 2.0

Hi, I am running into a weird issue with an API request. Firstly, I’ve made a client application on my test environment (which is hosted on Azure). Sending both post and get requests work perfectly with the client credentials.After testing on the test environment, I moved on to testing on the acc environment. I have created the client application in the same way as on the test environment. However, the acc environment is hosted on premise. When trying the same api request for the acc environment, I get the following error:Specifically: Bearer error="invalid_token", error_description="The issuer 'https://p2p-acc.tkb.nl/indicium' is invalid". I am trying to figure out how to fix this error, however there is a third party the is in charge of the on premise environment which also cant seem to figure out how this error is solved. Has anyone else ran into this issue? And how did you solve this error?The request does work for a basic auth request, even with the exact same rights as the client

Option to hide collapsible formNext release

Hi all,I use the tab page option to create a division between two groups in a form. This way, a specific layout is possible. In platform upgrade 2025.1 the collapsible form is introduced, triggered by the tabpage option.However, there is no option to hide the clickable part of the collapsible form. I want the layout to be the same, without the blue bar.Tab pages create collapsible forms with a clickable part (light blue bar)It would be nice to have the option to keep the layout of tab pages in Universal and hide the clickable part.One way to implement this, is to create a checkbox in Subjects → Component → Form. When selected (by default) the clickable part is shown and the form can be collapsed. When the checkbox is empty, the clickable part is not shown, the form is not collapsible, but the layout is the same. An option to hide the collapsible form can be implemented in this section.Kind regards,Rick

Add custom Menu items to topbar in Universal GUIOn the backlog

It would be great to be able to add Menu items to the topbar in the Universal GUI. I presume this is not new to the Universal development team. It is becoming quite common for applications to have a few icons to the top right (next to the User icon) with usefull features. If we would have the ability to ‘pin’ certain Menu items to the topbar, we come a long way I believe.These Menu items could be displayed as small Icons, including Badge symbols. Some ideas for which I believe this feature would be valuable:My Tasks: a list with all Open Tasks for that User. Badge symbol to show nr of Open Tasks My Workflow/Approvals: a list with all Pending Approvals/Reviews for that User. Badge symbol to show nr of Pending items Notifications: a list with all notifications for the user (we are considering a feature to Subscribe to specific records, triggering a notification if certain activity is happening on that record) Help: a link to page/context-specific User Instructions

We regularly see expression columns or prefilter with heavy constructs that effect the performance. So it would be nice if we can review expression columns and prefilter just like control procedures. Excel style filtering in Universal GUIWorking on it!

At this moment Excel style filters are not available on all columns. Using the normal filter is an option, but takes much more time for the user to set. Make grouped grid appearance universal the same as win/webWorking on it!

The grouped grid appearance in universal currently differs from windows/web. Grouped columns are treated as regular grid-columns, which creates an indentation in the rows under this grouped columns.It would be nice if universal appears the same as Windows and Web in this case. Universal Windows/Web

Task to add Marker to MapNext release

It would be great if the Maps component supports a Task to add a Marker. We would expect this Task to be triggered by double-clicking on a position on the Maps component, which should then automatically retrieve the longitude/latitude of the clicked location on the Map. This feature could be similar to the Task on the Resource Scheduler with which we can add new Activities on the Resource Scheduler component.

Universal GUI Scheduler - Grouping to be possible with more than one FieldCompleted

Dear all,We have identified that the groupping of records for the scheduler can be configured only by 1 column and it is not possible to have more than 1 currently.The idea is to be able to specify the groupping level and have a Treeview as first column of the defined groups in the scheduler.Similar to what was in WEB GUI:
