Increase the zone size in which you can modify the width/height of neighbouring screensClosed

It is possible to have multiple screens next to each other in the tsf, e.g. to display the Roles screen next to the Runtime configurations screen. When I want to increase the size of the Roles screen and consequently shrink the Runtime config screen, the bar that allows me to do this is 1 pixel in width/height. This makes it hard to get a hold of the bar. I think it would be a quality of life upgrade if this bar would become wider, like the bar that separates two details for example, as this makes it much easier to modify the width of neighbouring screens.

A more user-friendly version of cubesOpen

Can we please get a more user friendly version of cubes? Setting up a simple graph is more complicated than it should be. I feel like we could greatly benefit from having the UI/UX team having a look at cubes and think of a more refined way of creating cubes and graphs. Maybe adding a wizard to guide you through the creation process would be very helpful.

Set flow frequency using expression field (customer defined value)Needs feedback

I would like to see some improvements in the the process schedule:Frequency to be fetched from tenant or user (expression), now it's a fixed value while in multi-tenant/multi-user environments could happen that you have a asynchronous system flow, where in our case a user can define how often a time info will be updated. When recurring, can starting at/to be not mandatory.. if empty then it's the whole day. I keep forgetting that 00 to 00 means not running. (separate idea)

Model rights tab or jump-task for each SF object (table, task, report etc.).Open

I would like the model rights tab, or jump tasks, to be available for each SF object (table, task, report etc). When you change a table you also have to change the role rights (e.g. new column). Now you have to open the model rights from the menu and search for the object. The same counts for functionality. I would like to change functionality at the place where it is related to. When I add parameters to a task, I would like to be able to change the default, layout and task functionality in the context of this task.

Forgot Password not working despite Exchange setup.

We have a TW app running in Azure.For the case a password needs to be reset we want to start using the Forgot password feature: However the feature simulates to work for non-existing names (claims to have sent a token), but returns an error on valid accounts (email address).No mails are sent so no reset is possible. We have setup the Exchange connection as described below, but still.How do we get this to work?

Drag & drop also with cardlist.On the backlog

The backlog of the Universal GUI is really missing drag and drop from a cardlist. In a web-environment a card-list is quite often used (at least we do) and it is really a pity that apparently the drag-drop functionality will not be implemented for this component. I would really like to see drag-drop also from cardlist aside the grid and tree.

Remember last 5 searches in Code SearchNext release

As a developer, I want to be able to quickly switch between my last 5 searches to see the Code search results.This will allow developers to effectively search multiple expressions and inspect the results of these searches quickly. It will also decrease the amount of times a developer would have to Code search once again for the same expressions even though the results would not be any different from the previous search.

The FTP-connector currently supports regular FTP and FTPS. The sftp or SSH protocol is not yet supported. I would like to see this additional protocol supported.

Multi-row one by one processflow executionOpen

hi,It’s possible to start a task for more than 1 selected row in a grid. Please make it also possible to start a processflow for more than 1 selected row.More details here, where the multi row execution seems a fair solution for this. But that is a good solution if you want to do stuff with multiple rows in 1 processflow. I just want 1 processflow handle 1 selected row at the time, but when selecting multiple rows, it should execute the processflow one by one. As a processflow starts with a table task in this case, please add support for this so we can implement it like we can with tasks.Thank you!

Data being cut off in excel column DevExpress

HI!I have an issue with displaying the data in a cell. We created a report in DevExpress and want to make it displayable in an excel sheet. All data is shown correctly in every cell. However in one cell the data is cut off and not all data is visible.The cell has the options 'Can shrink', 'Can grow', 'Multiline' and 'Word Wrap' enabled.What can I do to ensure that the entire text is visible?Attached are printscreens of the report.Kind regards,Linde

Multiple keys to select from detail in relationshipNeeds feedback

I was just reading “filtering in a pivot grid”, and remembered that I had this Idea.If you have a list and a detail, you can select multiple items in the list, but the detail is only linked to the main focus item.I have a use case in which it would be great if you could expand this to, this key or … that key, or …, etc.With a filter it is possible to have a filter to select multiple options, but this could be less clear to the user, and the fact that it is not possible to make the filter mandatory makes that we can’t use this option. We have a large “fact table”, and I’m looking for a clear way in which a user can select some options to query, without ever selecting everything. The user should not start with everything, but with nothing. If you have a graph, and 1000 categories, you don’t want to start with “show everything”.If the graph would be a detail of a list with categories, the user could select one category and see the graph, or use the control key to select more.

Can I block user interaction on a tree element?Open

For a demo/PoC I've created a request modal that should be guided with just buttons, start, next, previous and end. Therefore I would like to block any user interaction with the tree, so users don't skip to item 3. How can this be achieved? And for some reason the first node gets truncated, is this a bug? Using latest U-GUI 2024.1.12.0.0

adding record thru grid fails

Some users reported some weird behaviour that seem to have originated with the upgrade from the 2023.1.16.0 Windows GUI to the 2023.3.12.0 Windows GUI a few month ago.These users were still on the old version due to IT forgetting to update their shortcuts 🤐The issues I come across are that when a grid has a dropdown as first column the dropdown stays empty until the user clicks in it again triggering the refresh of the dropdown.I fixed this several times by forcing the focus on that dropdown thru the DEFAULT without questioning why it failed.Yesterday and today I got complaints that when I add a record from inside the grid the dropdown is not shown: https://www.screencast.com/t/stNdFFzpI tried it in the old 2023.1.16.0 Windows GUI and everything was working fine.Now my hope is that this is also not a problem in the new 2024.1 release of Thinkwise!?Can anyone confirm this before I start upgrading a production environment.

Extend Excel-style filtering by search fieldOn the backlog

For filtering in specific columns Thinkwise has a great solution: you can easy filter in columns by clicking on the head of the column. This is Excel-style filter is quite similar to Excel. Within Excel there is an additional functionality which I like a lot and which I think would also be nice as functionality in Thinkwise: you can type into a search-field in the same small pop-up to filter the column. By that it is also possible to filter on a string which is not in front of the records in the column. What do you think about it, would that function be useful?

Use 'open lookup' as a start action for a process flowUnder review

I would like to use the open lookup action (clicking the lookup icon) as a start action for a process flow.This would allow us to guide user actions when they click this icon.We often find that users click this icon while editing or adding a row because the lookup column did not display the object they needed. So they open the lookup and often need to disable a prefilter to see the rows they needed. Our users complain that this is hard to understand and to much of a hassle.With a process flow we would be able to automatically disable prefilters when they open the lookup, making the entire process more intuitive. Using a process flow for this allows us to configure which prefilters should be disabled and which may remain active.Implementing this also opens up all kind of nice features since so many things are already possible using process flows. We could also configure it to send a user to a form in edit mode so they can immediately add a missing row without any extra clicks for exampl

Alternating line color plus vertical border lines in gridsClosed

I finally managed to set alternating row colors in for grid. The documentation on this topic is not very easy to understand. Reference is made to the "the 'line' component". In the end it became clear to me that it is about the color setting of the grid borders, which must be set to Transparant. (See: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/themes#grid) This also means that it is not possible to set alternating line colors and simultaneously display vertical lines in a grid.I wish I could set alternating line colors with white as the base color and light gray as the alternating color. I also want to be able to make vertical lines visible in a different shade of gray. In this way, the contents of columns that are next to each other can be better distinguished from each other.Hopefully you can make a little change in the Windows- and Web GUI to enable this option, and update the documentation.

Is it possible to place the action bar vertical, alongside the grid for example?

Quite often after applying a filter, or modifying a record in a filtered list, I get the offer to open the record in a new document. Great, and really helpful.The drawback is that I almost as often like to reuse that document and apply another filter (it's open anyway, so why close it and open it again?)That's a no-go of course: invisible for the users at home, the GUI has cocooned that single record in its own context, and any changes in the applied filter will only make that record become invisible.To me it is not quite clear what indicator the GUI gives to let me know that this record is the result of “this record can not be shown due to applied filters, open in new document”. If it is not too much of a trouble, I'd propose these extensions to the GUI:An indicator that this record is cocooned in its own context so that it is clear to the user why nothing is shown after applying a filter where results are expected A button to release the context, so that the document is available f

Renaming table is not case sensitiveOn the backlog

See screenshots and title, a very simple rename where you want to remove a capital letter in the SF.This is very small but annoying bug since this might happen when you accidentally start with a capital letter.You now have to either delete the table and create a new one, or rename it to something different and then rename it back to the original name without the capital letter.

Primary idea:Currently when you want to create deployment package for a application you have the ability to choose a database or a specific point in history.What i would like to propose is an ability to login to an indicium service tier to retrieve the current version.So you don’t have to query the product info table and figure out what version currently is running on that database/environment. The ability to always connect to a SQL Server directly may not always be the case. So you would like to generate a package for an application management party to deploy.

Process flow not triggered after edit in grid

I'm trying to execute a web service call after modifying a record. According to the documentation it can be done via a process flow using “Modify record”: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows.html#modify-record It says the following: This process action will also work in combination with modifications in the list. If this process action is not a start action, then the GUI will give preference to a form to deal with the action. If there is no form present, then the GUI will try to find a grid. If a record in the grid is modified, is successfully stored and there is a follow-up action that can be called, then a possible row switch action that handles the save of the data will be prevented. Problem I'm having, is that when editing in grid the proces flow isn't triggered. It's triggered when adding or editing via form, and also when adding in grid it's triggered. But not when editing in grid. What am I doing wrong? I have the following process flow defined: And this

Persistent default procedure

Hi, I’m encountering issues while editing a specific table form. When I click on any of the checkboxes, it immediately clears the forms. I assume this is related to the default procedure because when I disable the default procedure in subjects, the issue no longer occurs. However, even after re-enabling the default procedure and commenting out all of the code, and then executing the empty default procedure script, the problem persists.Also, this problem only occurs in Universal Gui (2024.1.11.1.0).What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

Aggregation UI cut off

Regardless of whether we move the columns or screen types, the aggregation values remain cut off. how do i fix this?
