Multirow task execution

When executing a task for a selection of rows, the user interface first executes the context procedure for every single row to check if the user is allowed to execute the task for that row, and then executes the task for each permitted row. This can be quite time consuming, especially for web clients where the progress is also reported back to the client.To speed up multirow task execution, a new feature has been developed to execute tasks for a selection of rows.To enable multirow execution for a task:Add an XML-typed parameter to the task Make sure Popup for each row is switched off Set the MultiselectParameterID extended property with the name of the parameterWith multirow execution enabled for a task, when the user interface executes the task, the specified XML parameter is filled with the parameter values for all rows. Even if only one row is selected.The parameter is only filled when the task is executed. The XML is therefore not visible in the popup or available in the default a

Model actionbar elementsPartially completed

Especially with the introduction of the actionbar component, where you can freely position the actionbar it has become more a necessity to model the action groups of the actionbar. I see the taskbar has the following main groups:Filter Pre-filter Tasks Reports CRUD actions (incl. import/export) RefreshIt's not uncommon that you have a grid, form and for example a preview/cube/ or other element not being a reference.. If you put them all on a separate tab all the component gets all the action bar items. Functionally and personally this is unwanted. the filter, pre-filter and mass update for example do not make sense on a form level (exceptions are there of course) because you are looking at a single entity.  In the U-GUI we use the previewer to load external apps.. Basically you don't want to have search, filter, CRUD actions there (again exceptions are possible)It would be really great if the option to hide action bar could be extended by modelling at screentype level which action-bar

Users unite! Upvote to get export import and Mass update next Universal update.Completed

The Export functionality (aswell as Import and Mass update) is currently scheduled somewhere Q1 2021 but does not have a set sprint and release date yet.Our company users are using “export to Excel” every day and this functionality is highly desirable and should be implemented before others in my opinion. ThinkWise suggest creating an idea, this idea, for it and create a lot upvotes. Help! Vote!

Have separate icon for a filter when Active and when Inactive (on/off)On the backlog

Goal is to have a separate icon defined for a filter when Active and a different one for Inactive. We came to a situation where we need to have a filter icon more visible towards when active or inactive. Currently the only separation between the 2 states is the underscore under the icon itself.The idea is to be able to define the icon for Active like  and when Inactive likeWe can use icons of opposite state for defining the Active and Inactive state.

Merge a branch to another branchNext release

I would like to merge branches to other branches, even when the only thing they have in common is the main branch. There already have been several questions about this:  The suggestion there is to always use a common branch between branches so that branch A may be merged to branch B via common branch C. We are increasingly struggling with our branches however. It often happens that incomplete functionality in branch A is needed in branch B and we didn’t foresee this when we created the branches.With the recent changes to project versions and how differences are calculated, would it now be possible to implement support for merging branches to other (not directly related) branches? Somewhat like how Git supports this.

Yesterday I updated the Windows GUI from GUI_2023.3.12.0 to GUI_2024.1.12.0Today a user complained that his process flow is no longer sending out an email and issues this error:Any ideas?In the meanwhile I'll try to see if it is reproducable in an earlier version of the GUI.

Quick generation for one table which you made changes onOn the backlog

My idea is based on a way to speed up development by generating one table with his depdencies likes context, defaults and layouts. So you can quickly see a result in the end-product.For example, you have a table and you made a typo in a field. You quickly would like to correct this to continue the development process.Currently you have to generate the complete project and validate and execute the codegroups on deployment screen. And you result in creating a new version.Why not a quick generation button for a particulair table which you can use to just re-generate this table and drop/re-create the table.

Authentication method Indicium (Universal) for external applications

Together with a fellow developer, I am looking for a way to connect to Indicium (Universal) as efficiently and securely as possible from an external application.I couldn't find anything about this in the documentation and in the community.From the data traffic I have been able to deduce that the Universal GUI uses Basic/Cookie Authentication. We could use this way, but probably there is a better way.According to others, there are better alternatives such as JSON Web Tokens (JWT), instead of cookie authentication. I don't know what more the Indicium API offers in terms of authentication.I'm looking for best practice examples.Is there anyone who has already looked into this and can give advise?

Wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to create conditional layouts based on self-written queries? Now you are forced to add expression fields with conditions and use them.  Condition based on query

Documentation on IAM MaintenanceCompleted

Hi,Is there a guide for consultants for IAM maintenance? Cleaning up sessions, etc, anything that can be done to make sure IAM is set-up correct, caches removed, cleaned, and no logs are cluttering this world etc, etc. Development delivers a new version, but that does not mean that old stuff is cleaned automatically.. and consultants don't know what can and can't be done. A simple sheet or guide would be great! Blommetje

Date/DateTime filter for UniversalCompleted

As a developer, I want the filtering capabilities of Universal to be identical as the filtering capabilities of the Windows GUI.The Windows GUI accepts form filters and combined filters for date and datetime fields. These work as expected. Universal however does not show these types of filters, as the capability is not implemented.

Add a cancel button to select model popup when starting the SFOpen

When starting the SF you get a popup to select a branch. However, when starting a new project I just want to press cancel and create a new Model. So please add a cancel button to this popup.

How to delete base model related stuff

Hi, In the past, we included the base model for the Exchange connector into our work project. But we stopped with that and now we use the ms_graph functionality.But there are several ‘exh_**’ domains and tables auto generated by the base model, but these can't be deleted from the SF user interface.Even not after unlinking the base model from the project and generating the definitions.Is there an option to get them safely deleted from the model?Thanks in advance!

Maps shows gray on customer location

I am using the Maps component, but when I open the location, the map keeps gray. Sometimes, just before the gray block, less than a second something blue is appearing but then it goes to gray.This functionality does work when I use the application outside of their network it does show the data. However I want to find out where the application is being blocked.How can I best approach this problem?

CSV import and decimal separators

Hi,We have a csv file with semicolon seperated data.When importing this file into our Thinkwise application it interprets e.g. 20.88 as 20.880,00 aka 20880 which is a bit too much 🤐Thinkwise doesn't look at the Windows settings because I can replicate the issue on mu PC except that Excel shows it correctly while on the customer pc Excel also messes it up.On my PC: Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Is there an option that we have missed to force the decimal separator?

Next and previous buttons in detail

The reality in Brasil is that people work everytime more on laptops, but most laptops have a very dramtic screen resolution due to the costs of technology here. Standard resolution is 1360 x 768 or sometimes even lower. On this resolution you have not a lot of space, and there fore we usually use a grid with details.  That means that every time you want to have a look on another subject you have to go back to the grid and select another. Therefor I think it would be very usefull to have action buttons “next” and “previous” that would select the next and previous item of the active context. What is the best way to deal with this situation?

Universal Session Time Out parameter

Can’t we have a setting in IAM on user level where we can setup the Universal session Time Out for a user. There are user groups, like engineers, warehouse people, (truck) drivers who are not using an application all day long but only a few times per day. They need to login again and open their windows (Documents) and filters which they had open when they left the device. These people are not office workers but need to do some actions in an application during the day. It’s a horror for them if they need to re-open al the windows and setting the filters they had opened in the morning.

Add templates with modification options to Code OverviewCompleted

Changing and finding certain objects currently is a hassle. If the template is not the object name you have to go to Code Overview find the object, go back to functionality find the control procedure and change the template. When multiple templates are assigned you might have to repeat this process several times. Or when you have to change multiple objects on the same main object (table/task etc.) Code Overview is a perfect way to get insight in the available objects. Why not give the option to modify the templates directly on this screen, or have a link to the functionality screen? This would save a lot of time and clicking between screens.  This also makes programming easier since I often have to change the trigger, ctx, layout etc.. on the same object.

When adding new functionality and you skip the tab "Templates", by default a (New) template will be added with content:INSERT CODE HERE I feel it is better to put double hyphens before this autogenerated script to make it as a comment. Currently it will generate incorrect code and is reason for aborting the code execution to the DTAP environments.

Behavior of Card List with touch screen devices

It appears that the Universal GUI is programmed to always open the Form when clicking on the record in the card list. Correct?A form is not always present for a table/screen and in that case you want a specific detail tab to be activated when clicking a record.I seem to remember that this was possible in the 'old' mobile GUI.Is this something that is still being worked on or can this already be controlled in some way from the model?

Fill out Unit test attributes when adding from control procedureOpen

When adding a new unit test in the detail tab page of a control procedure, it would be nice when the Unit test type, Object type, Control procedure and Subroutine/table/task etc is already filled out. That way, we only need to provide a name and description for the unit test, which speeds up the process of adding unit tests.
