Yesterday I updated the Windows GUI from GUI_2023.3.12.0 to GUI_2024.1.12.0Today a user complained that his process flow is no longer sending out an email and issues this error:Any ideas?In the meanwhile I'll try to see if it is reproducable in an earlier version of the GUI.
Hi,We have a csv file with semicolon seperated data.When importing this file into our Thinkwise application it interprets e.g. 20.88 as 20.880,00 aka 20880 which is a bit too much 🤐Thinkwise doesn't look at the Windows settings because I can replicate the issue on mu PC except that Excel shows it correctly while on the customer pc Excel also messes it up.On my PC: Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Is there an option that we have missed to force the decimal separator?
Some users reported some weird behaviour that seem to have originated with the upgrade from the 2023.1.16.0 Windows GUI to the 2023.3.12.0 Windows GUI a few month ago.These users were still on the old version due to IT forgetting to update their shortcuts 🤐The issues I come across are that when a grid has a dropdown as first column the dropdown stays empty until the user clicks in it again triggering the refresh of the dropdown.I fixed this several times by forcing the focus on that dropdown thru the DEFAULT without questioning why it failed.Yesterday and today I got complaints that when I add a record from inside the grid the dropdown is not shown: https://www.screencast.com/t/stNdFFzpI tried it in the old 2023.1.16.0 Windows GUI and everything was working fine.Now my hope is that this is also not a problem in the new 2024.1 release of Thinkwise!?Can anyone confirm this before I start upgrading a production environment.
Hi I have to use the@cursor_to_col_id in my default for a view.But that view is exposed on 2 seperate screens and both of them need a different column to get the focus.But because it is a single view both screens will use the same default…As far as I'm aware I cannot filter on variant either inside a default? Otherwise I could use 2 variants.I can't retrieve the parent (both are details of a different parent) as well I think?
When we receive a json containing data and the task that processes the data fails (incorrect foreign key for example) the response json is always returned with status code 200 OK.Can I change that?I see it is an output parameter but in the documentation isn't clear about if it is editable.
I was somewhat surprised that when I use the “print file” process action the printer is a mandatory selection:This means that we need to add all 100+ printers into Thinkwise. And any new printers in the future we would need to add and add a process action per printer to the flow. Not very efficient..When I email the pdf instead of printing I don't need to add all possible email adrresses to Thinkwise… Why aren't the printer setting parametrized like for example the email or ftp settings?Or is there another way of doing this (unattended printing without user interaction to any printer in the company).
Can we exclude the usage of images in an HTML control?We need HTML formatted text but the users are not allowed to insert images.I'm hoping to find something better than issueing a message AFTER saving the record :pWould be a pity if someone is typing a big long text with images only to discover afterwards that he/she shouldn't have used the images...
I have a task in which I want to combine multiple (with a maximum) selected records onto a single task dialog.For example a grid with packages and a task that combines one or more packages into a single collo.The user selects one or more packages (for example maximum = 5) and the task has 5 package_id fields. When the task is executed the package_id of the first selected record is placed in the tasks package_id_1 field and the second in package_id_2 etc…..As far as I know we cannot do that directly as the task will b get started multiple times instead of just once.But maybe using a processflow?I can't imagine that nobody ever thought about this 🙄So hopefully someone can give me some good suggestions.

In this example I have 2 screens both showing data from the same view:A BWhen I have both screens open and I change the data thru screen B I need to do an manual F5 when I go back to screen A. Is it possible to have it automagically perform a F5 on the reactivating of the screen?I can use “auto update” but I dislike the fact that it is not realtime unless I use for example 1 second. But that causes a lot of sql requests.Any suggestions?
I have a processflow that does some logging and calling an api when certain tasks are executed.This works fine except for one task.This task also calls another processflow and therefor never calls my api processflow…My first idea was “can I call a processflow from another processflow?”, well it seems I can do that with a subflow…But a subflow cannot call a task (I use a task to collect data before logging and calling the api).I can add the logic also to the processflow that is being executed but I rather keep everything in a single location ;)Any suggestions?

Would be nice if the help was a bit more helpfull 😇I did figure out that it helps to completely remove the assigned templates from this program object and re-assign them.But I havn't got a clue why I need to do that ;)
I got the message that the automatically generated follow-up process action variable was too long.The maximum is 128 charactersBut this name is automatically generated from the automatically generated name of the arrow/step in the processflow.Shouldn't that name be limited to 128 characters as well? That way this can never happen...
We usually start the model I'm currently developing on directly from the SF with an ini file like this:MetaSource = SFRDBMS = SQLServerServer = sqlserver.thinkwisesoftware.com\sql2019Database = SF_DEVAuthentication = MSWindowsModel = MyModelBranch = 1.20ExecutionMode = DeveloperBut everytime I'm working in a different branch, forcing me to constantly change the branch in the ini file to make sure I open the correct branch.Is there a way to start the application from the SF directly in the current branch?Additionally, when the application is already started I cannot see which branch I'm using….I also noticed that when I make a new branch using our naming convention (unfortunately TW forces upper case): TOPIC\S110-MMS12345-TEST_OMSCHRIJVING the splashscreen won't show the branch name: In this situation I cannot know for sure which branch is starting...
I ran into the following situation.We have a topic branch from the MAIN (lest assume it is called TOPIC_1) and from TOPIC_1 we made a new branch TOPIC_1_1.I created 2 merge sessions:TOPIC_1_1 back to TOPIC_1 TOPIC_1 back to MAINI foolishly assumed that when I would start the merge task it would merge down from the first. But it executes the currently selected merge session.So I ended up with TOPIC_1 being merged back to MAIN but without the contents of TOPIC_1_1 as that is merged to the inactive (I didn't notice the real issue until I merged both sessions ;) )I ended up fixing it by re-activating both branches and create new merge sessions and running those in the correct order…I think it would be nice if there are some checks that would warn if you try to merge a brange which still has open sub branches!?
Probably a long shot but the other day I got a complaint from a user about a message that was shown when het tried to start the IAM:We have several instances of the IAM running (DEV, TEST, ACCEPTANCE and PRODUCTION) and all are physically disconnected using different SQL instances, machines and GUI installations.The last thing probably causes the message the user is complaining about?The user already has a PRODUCTION app running and tries to start an ACCEPTANCE app.I suspect that the message not necessarily sees a newer version of the GUI but rather a different instance of the GUI? The PRODUCTION app is running something along the lines of \\PROD\TW\GUI\TSF_CS.exe while the ACCEPTANCE app starts \\ACC\TW\GUI\TSF_CS.exe and both of them are the same version of the Windows GUI (2023.1.12.0). Is there a way to prevent this message to be shown in this situation? Especially as it suggests that there is a version difference, which is not the case. Althought I can imagine that the starting IA

We noticed that the Merging dialog/tab shows merging sessions for all models.Not only the currently activated model. I think there should be an additional prefilter that only shows the currently selected model (VMS in this case).
We are in the process of upgrading our old maps (the depricated extender) to the new maps component.We followed the very cleas instructions from Kevin:We are at a point that the map is showing (Google maps because I couldn't find any xyz url options for Mapquest) and the set initial location is working way too good because that's all it ever shows 😢Our setup is as follows: The address_type_id domain is set as follows: The location data is stored in the correct JSON format:{ "CoordSets": [ [ { "Lon": "5.9794453", "Lat": "52.2083719" } ] ] }So the complete data (sort of anonimized and the expression content is added) is:The maps component is configured as follows:In the Windows GUI the initial location is shown without any marker: Any ideas/suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?Is there a way to see what information is passed to the map component?I also noticed that the marker shown in the legenda and layers are different from the set marker.
Sometimes it would be nice if it is possible to upload multiple icons (whole folder for example) into the icons table at once.It came up when thinking about the posibility of adding flag images to a view with countries 😇That would be around 254 seperate icons, I wouldn't want to manually add each of them seperately 😬
It would be benificial when the SF could show a graph of the branches to make it visually clear how the different branches are related to eachother and how (and if) they are merged.Something similar to:
Hi,Since our upgrade from 2021 to 2023 we get complaints from users that they get errors when selecting an Outlook message in our attachments table: The TW debugger is a bit more specific with “Couldn't find a compatible Webview2 Runtime installation to host WebViews” I've found this topic:But the user can preview an msg file in file explorer so that bit is working properly.Only in TW the msg preview failes.Other files such as pdf work without any issues.Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Is it possible to change the fontsize per user?We get complaints from the shopfloor that, especially on mobile devices, the text is sometimes rather small for certain people.I've tried to make a copy of the theme and change the fonts in there to a larger font.After deploy I assigned the new theme to the specific user but it doesn't change the font size (and font size 20 is hard to miss I think :p ): When I set the Default theme to Dark in the above picture and redeploy I do see that the Universal interface becomes dark mode.
We recently started using Universal as replacement for the mobile GUI and we ran into the following issue.For readability we use a cardlist to show the data but there are some fields that contain strings that are longer than the width of the screen:the tooltip shows the content with wordwrap: Can we display the data in a similar way on the cardlist?
