I'm trying to execute a web service call after modifying a record. According to the documentation it can be done via a process flow using “Modify record”: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows.html#modify-record It says the following: This process action will also work in combination with modifications in the list. If this process action is not a start action, then the GUI will give preference to a form to deal with the action. If there is no form present, then the GUI will try to find a grid. If a record in the grid is modified, is successfully stored and there is a follow-up action that can be called, then a possible row switch action that handles the save of the data will be prevented. Problem I'm having, is that when editing in grid the proces flow isn't triggered. It's triggered when adding or editing via form, and also when adding in grid it's triggered. But not when editing in grid. What am I doing wrong? I have the following process flow defined: And this

TL;DR: I want to have support for a datetime field which shows the users local time.As an ISV we have customers all over the world. This brings some issues with datetime values. We currently save all datetime values as UTC 0 and use a helper function to convert it to the customer local time. This has the disadvantage this needs to be set up for each customer and there is currently no support for customer with offices in multiple timezones. That could be fixed by saving the time zone per user / office, but that introduces yet another setting and introduces complexity (which we don't want). In my opinion the database should not be responsible for displaying the correct time, the client should.I would suggest that there is some kind of option that always converts a datetime utc0 value to the local time of the users device. The Universal GUI has a refresh button, which is quite normal. Except if you're using a mobile platform, where “Pull to refresh” is more common.We would like to have pull to refresh implemented in the Universal GUI as it's more common to use. Please note that the refresh button could, or could not be removed depending on the target platform (e.g. desktop without touch gestures).
In the SF I would like to have the checkboxes under Subjects > Columns > Columns disabled (unchecked). In general when I want to create a default, layout or context I create this only for a limited set of parameters. Parameters that are not used, should not be there. By default all is checked, so all parameters are passed (and are affecting performance).
I would like to be able to specify the valid extension(s) that a user can use on a file upload.I want to help the user a bit more saying they can only upload for example .zip or .xml files, of only images. The accept attribute could be used for this.Clicking on this, should result into a restricted set of file extensions. I currently use a default, but that's triggered after someone has selected a file.
I'm trying to convert some trigger logic to default logic, because I would like to use the 'system versioned tables'. Having triggers causes a lot of records in the history table, which isn't necessary.I'm currently using a trigger to update the 'update_user' and 'update_date_time', and also an update_counter for preventing concurrent editing. I've tried to set up a default which sets the update_user and update_date_time. Problem is that it's only fired when a column has default logic enabled and the value is changed. What I want is that the default is also triggered when the user starts editing. Or maybe after he's done editing. Then I would like to update the update user / datetime. When inserting a record this happens (e.g. @cursor_from_col_id is null), but when editing it isn't.A work around is passing all table columns to the default, but I don't want this because it's unneccesary and a performance killer.Any suggestions on this case, preventing unneccesary records in the history
We're looking for methods to improve our build automation with the SF. We think we do a lot of manual and repeating tasks / labour which could be automated. I'm not sure if what is already possible, or is a feature request. I'd like to hear some thoughts and experiences of other users. As ISV we have experience with build automation, using tooling like Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps etc to automate processes. But with the SF platform this is kind of new.For each release / merge we do exactly the same steps, which are all prone to fail because of manual labour. I have a task on a table which triggers a proces flow. It's a task that add's a record to the same table and the process flow refreshes and does a ‘go to row’ to make sure the newly created record is selected. This work, however if the table is displayed in a lookup, it doesn't. I don't know why? There is no concurrent proces flow active, so it should run?

I have a card list with a file to download. However, it is displayed as a field in the card list (not clickable) and as a download under the top right menu item. I don't want to have displayed both, but only one (clickable). Is it somehow possible to hide the card list item, but maintain the menu item? When I set the field type to “hidden”, the top right menu also disappears.
Is it possible to remove the area in the red rectangle?In this case it's only a preview of a PDF, where no filters should be applied (no navigation) and a refresh seems a bit unneccesary (and should be pull to refresh).
I'm trying to preview a PDF document in the Universal GUI, turns out the behaviour of tablets / mobiles is different, as they cannot preview PDF documents.Is this something to add as a feature request, or should we remove the preview component and only provide a download link? Or is there maybe another way to preview pdf documents on mobile devices?
I have created a branch of a branch. For example I've branched the trunk project “Sandbox” to “Branch 1”. And then I've branched “Branch 1” to “Branch 2”, like the image below:Then I start a merge session: merge branch 1 into the trunk. Then I want to merge branch 2 back into the trunk. However, it's not showing up by default in the merge session:I can only select the recently merged “Branch 1” in “Branch project”, not the “Branch 2”. However, I can select the “Branch 1” as “Trunk project” when I remove some prefilters. Then I can merge Branch 2 into branch 1, and then merge branch 1 into the trunk.Is this intended and safe to do?I would expect I could merge branch 2 directly into the trunk as branch 1 is already merged.Edit: What I actually want to do is update the branch 2 first with the latest trunk, continue developing and then merge it back.Edit 2:I also see in “Project versions” some fields, are they safe to change?
I'm trying to add a kind of information to a task using a label as control. It has to help the user a bit more about the type of file he's allowed to upload.The example above is written in html and there you can use a colspan for the hyperlink part.Is it possible to create a task layout that is close to the example above? The closest I can get is increasing the task parameter label width, but unfortunately cuts off the text (...) and makes the task to wide.Is there maybe another trick to add a piece of text with a hyperlink in it?
Is it possible to remember the selected rows in a grid after executing a task (with a process flow)?We do have some “multi row” tasks, which would really help the user just to remember the selected rows so they can execute the next task on the same selection.
When I do adbo.tsf_send_message ‘message’, null, 1 -- abort in a task, I get a dialog like this in the Universal GUI:In the WebGUI you'll get something like this:Difference? Cancel versus OK.Why is the Universal giving a Cancel button, and the WebGUI a OK button?With Cancel you'd expect the task to be cancelled, but you don't, you're returned to the task (Press cancel to continue?). For some subjects we've disabled the default CRUD elements and replaced it by tasks.For the ‘Edit’ I can assign Ctrl + E to “override” the default edit shortcut. However, for the add and delete I cannot select the + and - sign. The Ascii code table is unfortunately read only. Is this somehow possible to do?It would make more sense to our users the shortcuts are generic and not mixed (Ctrl+- and Alt+X for example). I'm aware that this idea would probably fix our problem, but I don't really expect that to be implemented soon.
I have applied some changes in a data structure, where the original table is no longer exposed to end users, but instead is exposed via views. The already created unit tests are still on the object that is no longer exposed. How can I change the unit test “Object” (dbo.unit_test.object) value to the new view? Because it's read only as far I can see. Is it safe to update that field value, or must I rewrite all unit tests?
Hi, with the update of IAM 2021.2 tenants are introduced. We’ve already had some kind of custom tenant structure (outside IAM) and I would like to apply the tenant structure as well into IAM. It might be interesting for us, so the external tooling could disappear.However, I want to upgrade to 2021.2 including a proper tenant structure, unfortunately there is no task to move a user and user groups to it's own (new) tenant, it's all to “Default”. Is this somehow possible?
When you use a SVG icon for a task which is disabled in the web gui, the icon doesn't become gray like it does in the Window GUI. Is this a setting or svg trick that needs to be applied?webgui disabledwindows gui disabled
I'm testing the upgrade from SF 2021.1 to SF 2021.2 and I noticed something in the unit tests, there's an assertion message thrown:Failed: The logic managed to rollback the unit test transaction. Please remove the random rollback statement. I've discovered that this is caused by the tasks’ “atomic transaction” feature. For example I have a task with a dbo.tsf_send_message ‘some_error’, null, 1 which will call raiserror(), that will cause the task transaction to rollback. But as a side effect the unit test no longer succeeds where it would in previous versions. How can this be fixed? I also did notice that there is a new “Is empty” assert. Which is nice, but why isn't it converted by default? As mentioned in this topicI want to exclude the “Show password” eye in the tab stops. I think it should not be a part of the tabs stops as it's inside the “Password” line. It should skip it and move from “Password” to “Remember me” instead.
