Is there an easy way to change cube field rights?

I was wondering if there is an easy way to change cube field rights. In version 2021.2 there seems no option to add ‘child rights’ of a cube or cube view. Is there another option to add cube field rights?

Asynchronous Excel Result Download

I have a requirement that end users must be able to download a result set from the Web GUI. Normally i implement this with the export functionality that is included in the Software Factory.The issue with this result set is that it can easily contain 100.000s records. There is no need to see this result set, or a parts of this result set in the Web GUI. I only need to download an excel file with the full result set.I can imaging that i have an asynchronous task that creates the excel file on the server and can be downloaded by the end user.What is my best option to implement this in the Software Factory (2021.2) with the Web GUI (latest version)?

Suppress database messages in task

The manual mentions a message location of “none (suppress)” to suppress database messages. What is not clear is how exactly this can be done.I have a ‘suppress’ message at the end of a task template. The task is there to restore a backup of our test application to its database. Despite the ‘suppress’ message there are still several popups in the application with messages from the restore steps. How do I approach this?

Refresh underlying table when lookup got updated

We have a pretty specific scenario in which we want to refresh a record and give immidiate feedback when a user changes a value in a look up screen. I will describe the scenario below:We have column with a lookup. The value of this column is the total amount of cost records we have within our cost table. Whenever the user wants to look into all the costs, then the lookup can be opened. Whenever we add a new record within this lookup. In this case we add another 300 euro’s. The total costs becomes 2.000,00.When we return to the main screen and thus we cancel here. We have the following result:The value of our column did not change with it at first. Yes, after we press the refresh button ourselves the value will update to the new value. However, we would like the application to this for us. Call default on editing

I'm trying to convert some trigger logic to default logic, because I would like to use the 'system versioned tables'. Having triggers causes a lot of records in the history table, which isn't necessary.I'm currently using a trigger to update the 'update_user' and 'update_date_time', and also an update_counter for preventing concurrent editing. I've tried to set up a default which sets the update_user and update_date_time. Problem is that it's only fired when a column has default logic enabled and the value is changed. What I want is that the default is also triggered when the user starts editing. Or maybe after he's done editing. Then I would like to update the update user / datetime. When inserting a record this happens (e.g. @cursor_from_col_id is null), but when editing it isn't.A work around is passing all table columns to the default, but I don't want this because it's unneccesary and a performance killer.Any suggestions on this case, preventing unneccesary records in the history

Can we override keyboard shortcuts for Universal GUI?

The standard keyboard shortcuts for the Universal GUI as explained here don't really work with the default browsers we use (Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge). Of the list of keyboard shortcuts only the Esc and Ctrl + Enter work as expected.Ctrl + + / Ctrl + - are used for browser zoom functionality Ctrl + e is used to trigger the search engine Ctrl + alt + + for Copy seems to do nothingIs there a way to change these shortcuts for Universal GUI (including the tooltip text)?

Using SQL functions in calculation fields

hi, I’m trying to add some calculated fields in a table, and found the calculation field and the specific possibilities for each type.The calculation is rather complex and can be used in multiple tables, so I want to make one function with parameters. But I can’t find examples using SQL functions in a calculation field? Like how to create a control procedure (templated) to create and maintain an SQL function in SF, and using it in a calculation field. I can't find any in the training course, documentation or the community info. Does anybody have a simple example?It is probably a n00b question, but hey, I am ;-)

Layout in HTML / rich text editor

I hear many complaints from our customers about the HTML / rich text editor:Pasting content from Word becomes a mess Not possible to set the desired font size (15px for example) Extra white (new) lines are added when pasting text Text with markup that looks fine in the editor is show differently when used in an HTML email body (f.e. after selecting all text with Ctrl+A and change the font type and size) Can these issues please be fixed?

Numeric field and decimal seperator

I ran into a problem in Thinkwise which caught me by surprise.I was testing a task that uses a taskparameter with weight as domain:As shown above the domain is a NUMERIC(9,2)When I try to enter a point or a comma into the resulting task field I get nothing. But my colleague is able to enter the decimal separator. For example 38.5 becomes 385 on my system and 38,5 on my colleagues system.I figured out it had something to do with the fact that my windows keyboard profile isn't 100% standard: When I restore the decimal separator and number grouping character back to the Dutch default (comma and point) instead of my preferred point and space TW works fine again.Is this a known issue? Is there something that I can do to work around this (other software on my PC prefers the point as decimal separator ;) )

I upgraded to webgui 2021.2.17 (using TW platform 2021.2) which resulted in a different layout of the e-mails sent in case of 2FA. IAM Scheduled system flow doesn't run anymore

Since a last IAM Sync today our scheduled system flow won't be executed anymore. Last run was at 2.21: PM (UTC) today but the next run every 3 minutes will be updates, but the task won't be executed.We have both Indicium and Indicium Basic running against this IAM to support both Universal and Windows UI via Indicium.An IIS restart didn't fix the issue, nor a sync of the IAM did fix it.Running IAM 2021.1

Breakpoint works only after rotating the mobile device

Even on my Iphone 12 as a samsung A40 the breakpoint of the used scree type is only working after rotating the mobile device to landscape and then turning it back to portrait. Only then the cardlist applies. On first opening the subject the normal list applies. I’m on Universal GUI 2021.2.11, platform 2021.2.

Different column translation on variant

Setting a different translation on a table/subject variant requires checking the Translate column on the Subject>Variant>Settings.Now that I'm using a variant with different translation, I notice that the column translation actually should be different depending on the variant.For instance, take a product and an order table with a cross-table order_product. When order_product is linked to order, I put the translation “Product”, while seen from the product side I'll call it “Order”. This on subject/variant level. Let's say I have a column number_of_product. From the direction or order this indicates the number of this particular product. Translation could be “Aantal”. From the direction of product I want a different translation to indicate that this column says something about product and not order, such as "Aantal van product”.How do I create a different translation for a column, depending on the variant that is shown?

Why does creating a badge not enable the 'Show badge'-checkbox per default on the subject?

Hello,Currently, when i create a badge control procedure, the checkbox ‘Badge’ under Performance on the subject is automatically checked, but the checkbox ‘Show badge’ on the main subject is not automatically checked. Is there a reason why this is the default action? Wouldn’t it make much more sence to just automatically check the ‘Show badge’ box as well?

Indicium - change interval pending system flow

Hi,I have upgraded our environment to 2021.1. This is the first version with (mandatory) Indicium for us.In SQL Server Profiler I see that there is a query running every second that checks if there is a pending system flow: SELECT * FROM i_core_pending_system_flow WHERE date_time BETWEEN @after_date AND @before_date;At this moment we do not use (automatic) system flows, so my question is if it possible to change or disable this ‘every second’-interval?Thnx.Patrick

Failed logins logging and locking accounts when using IAM for access control

Hi, Is there a way to register failed logins (by logging this in IAM) and is it possible to lock accounts when failed logins are over a certain threshold (i.e. 3 failed logins and account is locked) when IAM is used for access control? This is without Windows Authentication and no RDBMS users/logins. rgds Ricky
