Why does creating a badge not enable the 'Show badge'-checkbox per default on the subject?

Hello,

Currently, when i create a badge control procedure, the checkbox ‘Badge’ under Performance on the subject is automatically checked, but the checkbox ‘Show badge’ on the main subject is not automatically checked. Is there a reason why this is the default action? Wouldn’t it make much more sence to just automatically check the ‘Show badge’ box as well?
