Menu items not translated (After upgrading to 2020.2 version)

I can’t figure out what’s going on here, but the tile menu items are indicated as not translated, while they are translated for sure. For the subjects the translations are given correctly..The first screenshot is the menu. The second screenshot is when opening [werk_rapport]. There you see in the top of the figure the translated words ‘werkrapport’ ‘werkrapporten’ ‘alles van datum’ etc. No [ … ] term to see. But on the menu they are all in [...]. We use this menu for about 2 years now so all terms are translated. But after upgrading to the 2020.2 SF I see this behaviour. I tried several things in the application but was not able to fix this. Anyone an idea?

Proces flow - open screen after set time or event

Hi all,I have set up the report generator, which is great. I also have an upload to Azure (developed outside of SF) which updates my Db with an online path to the file in the cloud. All is good. When a client creates a pdf (e.g. an invoice) with a task.The following happens; click task → insert in Table Rpt_queue → file is made. → File is pickup by magic → uploaded to Azure → File path is inserted in an extra column in the rpt_queue. An update trigger fires and send the file back to the source table (e.g. invoices) AND to a table 'Document Pool’. The document pool is where we collect ALL files on this account. Invoices, reports, bills, contract, etc.  Anything generated?  → boom, in the document pool. So, after the task has fired, we use a process flow to open this document pool in a new tab. All good. HOWEVER, due to the time it takes to generate and handle the file, the doc.pool is not updated yet. This takes on avarage 20secs. Is it possible to either delay to process flow with 20se

Using SVG icon on a task variant

Has anyone seen this when setting an svg file as Tile image OR as icon. I want to show a SVG icon ina task in a (mobile) Tile menu but then this happens.I have changed all the other icons to SVG and that works fine. (However I did not figure out how to change the color)But when stting an icon on a task the file content is shown in the APP. Not the icon??

Reference source table has possible double look-up values on primary key?

I don't understand this validation. I have a table on which the primary key (1 column) is also used as look-up display value. This should be unique. The code like below illustrates it the best I think;-- code generated by the SF;create table dbo.[dummy]( dummy_id varchar(100) not null, dummy_description varchar(500) null, tsf_valid_from datetime2 (2) generated always as row start hidden not null , tsf_valid_to datetime2 (2) generated always as row end hidden not null , constraint [dummy_pk] primary key clustered ( dummy_id ), period for system_time (tsf_valid_from, tsf_valid_to))goinsert into dummy (dummy_id) values ('Test'), ('Test') -- second insert will failI think the validation is in this case invalid?

Unable to execute the AutoML get training options connector. The AutoML service URL is missing.

I've noticed the following ‘error’ in the Indicium logs (2021.1.10, but also older versions);2020-12-29T09:11:01.7549972+01:00  [ERR] Unable to execute the AutoML get training options connector. The AutoML service URL is missing.We don't use AutoML and can't remember we've configured or touched something in the SF. Why is it filling the log files with such lines? What can we do to solve this error? I want the log files to be clean.

What's the difference between the data types ROWGUID and UNIQUEIDENTIFIER

When creating a domain you must choose the data type. In this case I want to create a Global Unique Identifier (GUID). Clicking on the data type lookup I am able to see more details for each data type (figure sorted by type).In this list there are two Data types of Type “Guid”.First question is what is the difference between these Data types?Also what is the meaning of each attribute? And in particular does Calculated mean that columns of this type will not be stored in the database?

Bug Universal 1.8 with number of columns in task-form?

In the blog  “New in Universal (dec 2020): More process flows actions, install as PWA, form column settings and more improvements” Erik mentioned “The form in task and report popups listens to the SF setting for Number of cols in form”. Looks like we’re experiencing some sort of bug, because using Universal 1.8 we only get all the fields in 1 column….Changing the setting to 2 gives an expected result in the Windows GUI, but Universal keeps using only 1 column…When the number is set to 2 it looks like the form starts with 2 columns and then switches back to 1 column (in a split second).I've tested this situation (and experienced the problem) using Edge and Chrome.

No ... after text for a task

When you create a Task and set the vars to hidden, the name of the Task is fixed. When you set the Vars to Read-Only of Editable, you suddenly get … after the name of the task. See, BL… (with var to Read-Only)  And with Hidden var.  This look way nicer and less confusing. I cannot seem to change this. Anyone out there that knows if this can be done?

Set max number of lines in form field

Is it possible to set an max number of lines a user can enter in a field? I have some address fields that I want to cap on 8 lines max (or the print pdf won’t look good). I can only find how large the field is (looks) and a max number of chars. But not lines. Anyone?

What are the rules for conditional layouts in a cube view?

The documentation is not very clear about conditional layouts in a cube view. I added a special column ‘conditional_layout_ind’ in a view for conditional formatting. The values of this column can be 1, 2 or 3. For the cube field of this column, I specified summary type ‘Minimum’. Now I want to have a conditional layout on the cube field ‘quantity’ based on the (minimum) value of cube field ‘conditional_layout_ind’ (e.g. Equal to 1).This does not always work well and I don't know why. But if I drag the cube field ‘conditonal_layout_ind’ into the values area, I get more cells colored.The problem is, I don't want to have the ‘conditional_layout_ind’ in the cube view.How can I achieve conditonal formatting for this cube view?

Triggers vs Process flows

On the one hand you can use a triggers control procedure for performing extra actions. On the other hand you can also accomplish this by using process flows.I'm curious to find out reasons for using one over the other. Are the Trigger-procedures old functionality that will be deprecated soon? Or are Trigger-procedures the way to go?When do you use one over the other and why?

SF - add 'tables' entry to data menu (skipping 'data model'-diagram-listing)

12 out of 13 times I click on the ‘data model’-entry under data, that is so that I can get to the table listing.Could an entry for tables be added directly to the data-menu? Or switch the order of tabs, so that when clicking ‘data model’ the tables-tab would be foremost, having diagrams based on those tables behind it (and perhaps only as a detail of those diagrams, the tables that are visible in the diagram).

How does Conditional layout actually work?

Within Conditional layout you can have multiple instances. I get the impression that only one at any time will be chosen, even when one changes the font and another the background. It seems that there is an order in which the conditions are checked and implemented.I'd like to know the order in which the conditional layout are checked, whether the first match terminates further checks, how I may influence the order and how I can combine checks.Also I'd like to know how multiple conditions on a single conditional layout are combined. Do you have to match all conditions, or one of the conditions, or maybe something else.For instance I have two conditional layouts, one for font and another for background with different conditions. How can I combine these without having to implement a combined conditional layout.

Dark mode as default

I’m busy with migrating our Windows and WebGui to the Universal GUI.Every time I clear my cache (and I have to do this a lot while developing) in Universal I have to change to dark mode again. Is it possible to setup dark mode as default?

Emails and (devexpress) reports with "embedded" images

Hi,Currently we write a html(body) file as the actual email - where we for example want to have a company logo embedded in the email.  (as in <img src=”...”>). Then we start the smtp_connector and use this html(body) as input. For DevExpress this a html(body) content that is provided from a view column. (Which in turn will generate a pdf report with the image embedded).Can you share your best practice for this and how you have implemented these embedded images?(i.e. use an external website (and how do you serve/upload the picture?) or use CID or base64 or ???)ThanksRickyps. The email variant will not embed the picture due to the location of the <img src=”\\somelocalserver\picture.png”>, the DevExpress report will work just fine. changing the location of the picture to say for example https://i.imgur.com/tt5Vrmp.png (as you do for your emails) will surely work for emails but I haven’t checked if this would work for DevExpress reports

tsf_send_message in Indicium Mobile App in task stops default

I'm experiencing the problem in the Indicium Mobile App (and also in the Simulator) where my default is not updating the GUI when I'm using a tsf_send_message in the SQL.I'm having a task which does a calculation and shows the result in a tekstbox in the task. Based on that number, the user can execute the task.When the user changes the 'Aantal pakketten’, the calculation will be done:However, in the default, (after the calculation), there is a check which calculates if the amount is too high, ig so, it gives a message:When this occurs, then message shows up as expected:However, the numbers which are updated before (the Aantal palletten and Aantal stuks), are not updated anymore:Am I doing something wrong?

Crysrtal Reports Component not found

After upgrading the webgui to 2021.1.10 (old version 2020.2.17) the following message pops up:  I checked with version 2020.2.17 and there it still works fine. We have the Crystal Reports runtime engine SP25 installed. Is this a known issue or does anyone know why this message pops up?

A server error occurred universal login

I got my environment setup in azure and the universal login screen is approachable from every IP, the way it should work.The problem is when i want to login. From my home network is working just fine i can login and nothing happens. If I login from my work network then I get the message 'A server error occurred’. This also ocurred when a partner from his home try to login with the same user.I hope someone knows why this happens and how to fix this!

Breakpoint works in Mobile viewer - not on mobile device

I added a breakpoint on a particular screentype. When I open this subject with the Indicium viewer on the network the breakpoints works well.When I open it on a mobile device on the SF, the breakpoint does not seems to work.In Mobile development we always had to refresh the model. I can’t find an option to refesh a model for the Universal GUI. So I logged out en I logged IN again several times. I emptied the cache but nothing works. The normal screentype is shown, not the cardlist. Screenshot Indicium Viewer 1 Screenshot Indicium viewer smaller gemaakt Screenshot vanuit. mobiel device.
