+13Is it possible to set an max number of lines a user can enter in a field?
I have some address fields that I want to cap on 8 lines max (or the print pdf won’t look good). I can only find how large the field is (looks) and a max number of chars. But not lines.
Anyone?

This is quite hard to do as the form width in the application can differ from the form width in the report. Also the used formatting can change the width. You could check the number of enters/breaklines but in a continuous string that isn't possible. Then a maximum char length is the last hope but spaces take less space than some letters.
I'm eager to hear how others handle this in their reports.
