Error when using generate report (colorspace not found)

Hello,We are building a report which works when it is started as a ‘Start Table Report’, but not when used with a ‘Generate Report’ task. We want to store the document we generate in our database, along with the record that it should be attached to. For that reason we need to be able to access the file_data, file_name, and file_path in the process/system flow. We are generating the report, and then using the ‘Write_file’ action to store the generated report in our file system. From here I want to use the ‘Add row’ action to add the document to our database.Generating the report works, but when I go to open the PDF I get the following error: It is saying that the colorspace is not valid in the PDF. We are using the windows gui to generate the report. We have used DevExpress to build the report.Any idea how to fix this?

2FA with DUO PushNeeds feedback

Like many, our company uses DUO Push for users to log in on the network. We would like to use this too for the users who has an extended application in Universal GUI next to our ERP in Windows GUI. IAM supports only the TOTP 2FA with means that those users has two different ways of using 2FA to confirm login:1) Netwerklogin: simply tap the green tick2) UGUI login: copy/paste and confirm the validationcodeThe first way is much easier & user friendly then the second way.Is it possible to implement DUO Push as well in the near future?

Ability to hide column in UniversalCompleted

We would like some functionality in Universal which makes it possible for a user to hide columns/groups of columns in their view.Are there any plans for implementing such functionality and if not, is this a possibility?

tags system in universal GUI

In stead of using static categories in a tree, we would like to use more flexible tags system. similiar to what we have in this community. This image of the community software of tags is the UX that is most often seen for adding tags, where you can start typing and choos a tag from the list. How would you recommend to simulate this in the universal GUI?

Object not found error

Although there is a solution mentioned about 8 months ago to solve this problem (disabling auto-edit), this is not possible for our solution. We make use of the form list functionality which depends on auto-edit being always “on”. The seconds possible cause is that we make use of state changing forms. This means that a user enters data in the form and when done, clicks on a task-button to post the form to be processed by a backoffice system. The task-button starts a process which performs additional validation and when successful posts the form. The posting of the form changes the state of the form by which it is no longer visible to the end-user and the form is automatically closed using a process task. The form is closed, but this does not prevent presenting the “Object was not found...” error message. We know that the form is no longer available (due to no longer complying to the filter condition of the variant), but cannot find a way to suppress the error message.

Multiple keys to select from detail in relationshipNeeds feedback

I was just reading “filtering in a pivot grid”, and remembered that I had this Idea.If you have a list and a detail, you can select multiple items in the list, but the detail is only linked to the main focus item.I have a use case in which it would be great if you could expand this to, this key or … that key, or …, etc.With a filter it is possible to have a filter to select multiple options, but this could be less clear to the user, and the fact that it is not possible to make the filter mandatory makes that we can’t use this option. We have a large “fact table”, and I’m looking for a clear way in which a user can select some options to query, without ever selecting everything. The user should not start with everything, but with nothing. If you have a graph, and 1000 categories, you don’t want to start with “show everything”.If the graph would be a detail of a list with categories, the user could select one category and see the graph, or use the control key to select more.

Standard import/export functionality started from taskOpen

I would like an option to invoke the standard import functionality through a process flow or another method. Currently, the import/export function is hidden behind the three dots, making it difficult for some users to find. Excluding columns from the export functionality

Hello everyone, In our software we have columns that are necessary, but hidden from the user and a display column that converts that value in the hidden column to the right value. When the user wants to export it shows two columns, the hidden column and the visible column that holds the converted value. That hidden column is a column we do not want to export, the user only needs to be able to export the converted value based on their settings.We tried multiple things, setting all columns that we do not want to show to hidden, setting it fully hidden in the subjects screen, even via the layout logic where we tried to set fields to hidden when it entered the export mode. Nothing seemed to work as we had hoped. So my question is: is there a way to fully exclude columns from the export list. Some columns are hidden in the grid and form for a reason, and we do not want to keep those in our export list.In this screenshot you can see what I mean. Code review is one of the most important methods to improve application quality. Code review, in my opinion is not an optional step. Therefore I think we should remove the option to disable code review. Non-reviewed code should always throw a validation message.For the people flying solo, at least use the AI code review feature…

Allow the context procedure to overrule the SF settings.Needs feedback

At this moment, if I state in the SF that a detail is not visible, the parameter to make it visible is not offered to the context procedure, and the settings in the SF database always win.This has 2 disadvantages;1) If we change the visibility in the SF and forget to recompile the context procedure, we get an error.2) If the internet is slow, or something goes wrong the user can see tabs, the user should not see. ( We have one place where we switch between 10 tabs … ).It would be nice to have 3 or 4 states; show, don’t show, or only show when the context stored procedure wants it, with “this” as default ... 4 states would be possible with one additional checkbox.This is kind of related to my previous idea, but technically requires more. User preferences can differ, and I like to build by enabling things, instead of disabling things. ( We have a row based security on top of the Thinkwise security… that is an important reason why I would like to have the possibility to only show things w

A little improvement of the tsf_user() functionNeeds feedback

I found 2 problems with the tsf_user function;If I use the function as DBA (with a direct login to the database) the function gives a guid. The function can confuse the SQL-Server query optimizer with the result that the function gets executed multiple times.As a workaround I replaced the function by a view, which checks if the CONTEXT_INFO value isn’t a GUID, and an additional check whether the user returned is actually present in our user table.I did not investigate what it would do with the performance when I made the function schema bound, but the view is much faster… and I think that making the function schema bound might give the same result. ( It would not bind to anything, but SQL-Server might understand that there is no need to evaluate the function more then once ).

Alternating line color plus vertical border lines in gridsClosed

I finally managed to set alternating row colors in for grid. The documentation on this topic is not very easy to understand. Reference is made to the "the 'line' component". In the end it became clear to me that it is about the color setting of the grid borders, which must be set to Transparant. (See: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/themes#grid) This also means that it is not possible to set alternating line colors and simultaneously display vertical lines in a grid.I wish I could set alternating line colors with white as the base color and light gray as the alternating color. I also want to be able to make vertical lines visible in a different shade of gray. In this way, the contents of columns that are next to each other can be better distinguished from each other.Hopefully you can make a little change in the Windows- and Web GUI to enable this option, and update the documentation.

Getting a -5 from a generate report action which should only go as low as -4

Is it possible that the docs was not updated https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows_connectors#generate-report ? it says theres a status code as low as -4 but i am getting a contraint error on the output parameter because it is trying to output -5. Now i am not 100% sure there isn’t something weird going on in my process and the -5 is coming from somewhere else. But to rule it out would be nice to get some confirmation. Thanks.

How to delete base model related stuff

Hi, In the past, we included the base model for the Exchange connector into our work project. But we stopped with that and now we use the ms_graph functionality.But there are several ‘exh_**’ domains and tables auto generated by the base model, but these can't be deleted from the SF user interface.Even not after unlinking the base model from the project and generating the definitions.Is there an option to get them safely deleted from the model?Thanks in advance!

Recently an undocumented change has been made in Indicium (see this comment from Vincent Doppenberg). As a result a lot of our users (and those of other customers as the Community shows) experience the below annoying behavior:After a bit of idle time, they return to the Application and see the screen still open on the Subject where they left it They then click to continue their work and instead of the GUI suddenly throws a Session expired popup (this should be much more elegant, as per this Idea: Universal GUI - elegant session timeout | Thinkwise Community (thinkwisesoftware.com)) However, the user's login is still valid (for example because they checked the Remember me box on the login page, or because they use Azure AD as Identity provider for which the login is configured to stay valid longer) Then after clicking the ‘Close’ button on the Session expired popup, the GUI automatically redirects, reauthenticates, and reopens the original screen (unfortunately the Start Objects start a

Sharepoint document accessOpen

Dear all,We now save all our attachments (files) to the server where the thinkwise application is hosted. But we want to migrate this to the cloud / sharepoint. Would it be possible to access these files through the thinkwise application. Also when no user is loged on. I now use a separate program (goodsync) which serves as synchronisation tool (two way) between the local files and our sharepoint.But it would be much nicer if these files could be directly be written / read in our sharepoint and no local files are needed anymore. regards Chris

Why are all indexes rebuilt during a smart upgrade

We currently use the Thinkwise 2023.3 product. It seems that in this version all indexes are being rebuilt when doing a smart upgrade.In the current version of our application only one new table is introduced, but it takes much longer than in the previous version of the SF (2023.1) we used. Hundreds if of indexes are created, so the upgrade takes longer than expected.Anybody else have experienced this? Is this new in this version and if so, why? Can't it be “smarter”?

Unknown Import Error

We are trying to import an excel file using the import functionality but we keep getting an error. We created a custom report which results into an export to excel. After editing the excel report, we want to import the excel file again and update the existing rows. However, we get the following error.We also tried to use the export functionality of the Universal GUI, but if we make an edit in the excel file, we get the same error using the import. Do you have any suggestions? We also do not see any errors in indicium error log. We use the current version: Version: 2024.1Build: 11.1 (beta)

Set flow frequency using expression field (customer defined value)Needs feedback

I would like to see some improvements in the the process schedule:Frequency to be fetched from tenant or user (expression), now it's a fixed value while in multi-tenant/multi-user environments could happen that you have a asynchronous system flow, where in our case a user can define how often a time info will be updated. When recurring, can starting at/to be not mandatory.. if empty then it's the whole day. I keep forgetting that 00 to 00 means not running. (separate idea)

DnD file into Form

In Windows and Web GUI it is possible to drag a file into the form (in edit mode) to upload said file instead of clicking the “upload” button inside the column. However, in Universal GUI when dragging a file to the form it looks like it would work because of img 1. but does not actually upload the file. (the “Document upload” field stays empty)Is there a specific setting to enable this or am I seeing this the wrong way? img 1.
