Use other hotkeys for Add & Delete records (ctrl+ / ctrl -)Open

We lately found out there is a difference between pressing the - and + key on the numpad of your keyboard and the one besides the backspace.  Zooming can be done by Ctrl + Shift + - and Ctrl + Shift +, using the keys besides the backspace. Is that a helpfull sugestion for this situation? Hi Erik,As @J. de Lange  stated, it’s not so much to problem that it’s impossible to zoom in/out with other means, the problem is that the Universal GUI overrides popular hotkeys with Universal related actions. In general this seems bad for user experience.

Making Navigation Intuitive in Opened Thinkwise DocumentMerged

As sometimes you want to quickly switch between open documents and don't want to lose the position you ar in.   Agreed, however how I think this should work is: First click on Open Tab should navigate back to the previously opened detail tab in that document. This allows for quick switching between documents. Just like it works now.However, if you click on the Open Tab for the currently active document, I’d like it to navigate back to the main of this document.

SF: Add Combined Filter to Filter table inNext release

In my opinion, when a screen shows columns it would be user friendly to let a user easily search for a specific one since you most likely have a lot of them. The recommend shortcut will work for me now that you made me aware of its existence. However for new users this is not apparent. An interface element would directly communicate the possibility to search for something, so I think it would be better UX for users unfamiliar with the SF.

Hi @Erwin Ekkel ,thanks for the confirmation that a default is currently not supported in the formlist. For anyone stumbling upon this question in the future. We’ve managed to get a DYI default working by combining a handler and change detection. Since a formlist directly saves it changes, you can write a handler that mutates the data (like you’d would have written a default). You then only need to add change detection to this table to retrieve this modified data.

We’re also struggling with this not being possible. When this will be implemented it would also be great to have a bit more control, for example in the tree setting you’ve got a setting to determine how many levels you want to expand. This would come in handy 😀

Hi Harry, The most interesting part is what happens before the 404. I’m assuming the task causes the key of the selected record to change or causes the selected record to become unavailable to the user somehow. The question is whether or not the data is refreshed between the task execution and the subsequent edit the current record instruction by the process flow. @HarryA We were having the same issue. We solved it by incorporating the task in a process flow, which then closes the document and reopens it again. This way you don’t get the error message and the user can go on and select the next record. @Allard Lakerveld Hi Allard,Thank you for the suggestion. Opening and closing the whole document in our situation is unpredictable for the end-user in our case so I do not think that is the way to go for us. It would be helpful to get some more information about the API call that causes a 404 error code and subsequently causes this message to be shown. This information can be found in the browsers’ developer tools, more info here. For instance, the configured refresh action of the double-click task may influence this behavior. If the task is configured to refresh the selected row after execution and the selected row has been removed from the overview due to the execution, a message like this could be expected.  @Anne Buit Hi Anne,The API call that

Hi Renée, Yes I've tried syncing but the issue is still occurring. What I think is causing the issue is the fact that the user has a records selected (since he needed to double click it to trigger the task) and when the task is executed, the selected record get's deleted. This is reflected by the message stating that the object was not found, however for our end-users this does not make any sense so we'd like to suppress the message.

Hi @Jeroen van den Belt,Although I agree that being aware from what branch you’re going to merge is important, I do not think it therefore should be kept empty. Because it’s such an important part of the process you always check where you’re merging from. But it’s very cumbersome to select the right one when we can 95/100 times guess which one should be selected. Furthermore, if I recall correctly, in the old SF the merge from branch was also defaulted. So I do not see why that has to change. So I do not think this solution covers the problem as a whole.

Execute Upgrade Script really at the end of an upgradeDeclined

I think dropping all constraints for an upgrade script is not a solid workaround, I want to have my “safe guards” in place for ensuring my data is protected when upgrading data. When the code is executed at the point where manual scripts are executed, my data is protected by the new check constraints. I can follow the logic that you do not feel inclined to create a whole procedure for this problem. But what about creating an option to assign an upgrade script to be executed at the moment of a manual script. Or maybe execute scripts that are assigned as after the upgrade at this point, because I can’t think of a situation where you want to execute code before the rest of the steps of the creation process has been executed (but that can be just a lack of my imagination 😁).

Hi Mark, Yeah I think I agree with you. This a nuisance for us since we don’t have strict designs of our data model and thus don’t attach much value to these conflicts but I understand other TW users who would like to me notified of any conflicts. And if we don’t care, resolving the questions is not that time consuming. So considering what you said, no I would not still opt for these conflicts to be ignored and the idea could be closed :)

Execute Upgrade Script really at the end of an upgradeDeclined

Hi Mark, This indeed is a technical solution to the problem, however I think it’s not ideal from a UX perspective. As a new user I’d expect that when I want to update data after an upgrade, I can use an upgrade script, however now in some cases you need to use a whole different type of script (that’s also hidden away and difficult to find). I think this can be confusing and hard to explain to people new to the SF.I think a better solution should be a general procedure for all types of “upgrade scripts” that you want to run. Or make it possible to assign upgrade scripts to the same position as manual scripts.

@Anne Buit Hi Anne, We recently made the switch to 2023.1, however I’ve failed to find any documentation on the changes regarding the API calls mentioned in this post. I imagine some things got changed due to extra parameters we’ve got in the SF but I can't find a (comprehensive) list of these changes. So my questions:Do all API calls still work as mentioned in the blogpost? Did any extra parameters become available for these calls? (a bit unrelated but would be very nice to have) Can we now use branching and merging via API calls?

@HarryA We have point 1 covered in our Deployment project, right? Could you add our solution as inspiration to this Idea? Yes but not exactly, i’ll give a brief explanation of our solution. What’ve build is a dedicated Deployment project that we use to upgrade our applications using the concepts explained here. However, before starting the upgrade we create a backup of the DB so if we’ve messed something up we can easily restore this. We store these backups in an AWS S3 bucket (like this for anyone interested) , and write the location of these back-ups to a table in the Deployment project. This way we always have a relative new back-up.For the actual branching we’ve created a task in the Deployment project. In this task you can specify the branch name and this wel kick-off the branching project. First we make an indicium call using an HTTP connector to kick-off the actual branching, after this we look in the back-up table to see what the most recent backup is and restore it under the

Process action 'Write File' returns status code -4

The indicium log returned the following error:Process action 'write_to_aws' in processflow 'process_flow_name’ was provided with an invalid value 'file_name.json' for its 'File location' parameter. The target file path must be absolute. (fc445727)In the meanwhile i’ve tested the same action with the previous INDICIUM version and there it’s still working fine, therefore i’ll raise a TCP.

Thanks for the quick response! No I don’t think so, we’ve used this process flow successfully before the latest indicium upgrade was out. We defined a AWS S3 storage location with a “regular” bucket name. In the ‘write file action’ we use the following parameters:  File Location Variable file_path__{storage_location_name} File Data Variable json_content  the {storage_location_name} is equal to the name of the storage location containing the AWS S3 bucket.

Universal GUI bad request when starting task in process flow

Found a workaround by using a default instead of task parameters. When i tried to reproduce the error mentioned before everything seems to work fine now so I'm closing this question
