Currently it's not possible to import a model.dat export into a newer version of the SF. First you need to upgrade your source SF to the version of the target SF and then do the export and import. However for doing a quick export and import between different SF environments you do not always want to do an upgrade of the source SF. A work around is to do the same steps on a local installation. This is however time consuming if you want to do this multiple times for different source or target versions.Wouldn't it be great to have a tool that converts your model.dat file to any higher SF version? This would save a lot of time. A separate tool would already be great but having the import function of the model.dat in the SF doing the conversion for you would be even better.
After updating Universal GUI I have to change the index.htm <title> to my company name. Update all splash images and favicons. We want one universal name for my application “Master Data” instead of “Universal” Is it possible to use the projectname in system messages (like “A new version of Universal is out 🎉” translation and with “A new version of Top Bakkers Master Data” is out, UPDATE NU” And, of course, use favicon and plashimages from TSF/database? You re-create all JS and CSS references with a build/Git version. I understand it but when Thinkwise use 1 static name, with static references to their CSS, JS code files all customers can create their own custom references in index.htm and don’t have te rename all code and title ;-)
When giving a message to a user, commenly you want to give the user either a Positive and a Negative option; or Yes / No. Introducing more than two buttons may overwhelm the user and could lead to them incorretly making a choice that has consequences that he/she may or may not understands.Having the ability to add a checkbox to a message can help the user in allowing them to check the box and explaining the functionality of it. Many applications and web browsers already do it that way, one example is shown under here:Message popup with checkbox optionThe checkbox should be mappable to a process variable when used in a Process flow - Process action Show message. This way we can obtain the state and process the chosen option accordingly.
It would be nice if there was some way to edit the application title in the browser tab.Currently, the browser tab title is always set to “Universal”:Browser tab titleAfter doing some research, I learned that this title is set in the index.html file in section:<head> <title>Universal</title></head>I can see that the value is indeed set to “Universal”, but changing this has no effect (for a short time I see my custom title, which is then replaced with “Universal” again).
I would like to build a cube view in the SF the same way as in the end application by drag & drop fields as row, column, data or filter. Now I'm creating an example cube view in the end application and fill the cube fields the same way in the SF. A preview on the development database would make it even better.
I want to share an idea for the SF. When creating an expression field you need to generate the default, layout and context again. That takes a lot of time. Can we have a function that this can be done on demand for 1 specific subject without running the complete generation process. I would save serious time.
I would like to have a task to create a process variable for the input/output of a process action, so I don’t have to go to the process variables tab first.
Hi,We work in Azure Devops with workitems that represent changes to our product. It would be great if we could link changes in the SF to Azure Devops workitems! For instance when a code change is made or the model is updated, a workitem nr is filled in and validated in Azure Devops? And that we are able to search the code base and model on changes that are made for a specific workitem!Code reviews can be linked to a workitem. And it would even be possible to identify which workitems are solved in a specific Branche or version! This would save us time and help us to keep track on changes made to our system. Thanks in advance,Karin
When using the calendar component, the GUI automatically fills in the date as you navigate through the different months (buttons in the top right corner). In this specific case, the default triggers immediately with an error message.Ideally, we would like this message to appear only after the user has made an actual selection, when they click on a date/day.
We are looking at 2 data have applications where we rely heavily on the filter options and filter-form functionality. When you have a filter-form the use of pre-filters is not user friendly, as they are not visually synced.. I would really love to see them visually synced (so filter form shows what is pre-filtered) pre-populate the filter form, so you always see what is filtered out. B would be my preferred solution, as it enables you give a default filter to the form that a user can easily change without getting the full load.. this is what usually happens when they first turn off a pre-filter. (depending of course on the behaviour of your pre-flter group.
Can anybody tell me how I can arrange that when I drag and drop a dimension into a business intelligence cube the dimension is expanded. You can arrange that in the cube views with the checkbox “expand”, but is it also possible while drag and drop? Now I always have to click on “Cube expand all”.Appreciate your help.
When using ALT+F1 in the GUi it is possible to see information about a tabel, column etc., etc. like shown below. In the object panel the translation of an item, in this case a column, is shown. For documentation purposes the posibilty to copy/paste this particular tekst would come in handy many of times. As far as I know this is currently not possible, and manuallty typing the text is the way to go.. Whether adding the possibility of copying the text in this part of the screen, or adding a field in the right part doesn't matter.
For a production operator console / touch screen scenario I wish to have just a big ‘Save’ button on the screen.Maybe there is a work-around to achieve this?
Is it possible to hide fields as they can't be filled by users. Example the filtercomponent: It is only possible to fill the "till” field as a field is Between (Tussen) or Not Between (Niet tussen). It changes as it is fillable but it can better be hide when not fillable. It also for the look-ups they invite a user to use thefield or look-up
