Is it possible to add a line based on some queried values to the graph view of a cube. See red line in attached image (Excel example).
We plan to develop a new part in our application that we want to deploy as a portal for a selection of our suppliers. Our goal is to have fewer phone calls and less email traffic by allowing suppliers to check our supplier orders in our own database and to easily create packing lists from those orders inside our application through an interface we have yet to design. To accomplish this we will have to open up part of our data model to a new supplier role in IAM. How can we ensure that every supplier gets to see only their data and not that of others? I assume this can be accomplished with hidden pre-filters but perhaps there is a better way. Is there a best practice concerning portals in general and data security?
We have a number of assemblies configured on the current development environment. These assemblies need to be passed on to every development/demo/customer/production environment. Last week we've added the assembly HttpConnector to our current development environment. This assembly was also needed in the multiple demo/customer/production environments. It appears that this assembly wasn't automatically created on the different environments. Whichresulted in errors in a customer/production environment. Besides the above assembly we also have more assemblies that need to be passed on to every environment: SQLTCPExhItemSender HttpConnector Newtonsoft.Json System_Runtime_Serialization Is it possible to configure these assemblies to be part of a deployment process? It also raises the following questions: How do we make the assemblies part of the deployment process and prevent manual work? How do we maintain the original .dll files? How can we apply newer versio
With the arrival of SQL Server 2016 Microsoft added the R Services add-on, which enables the execution of R scripts directly from T-SQL. Starting with SQL Server 2017, R Services was renamed to machine learning services to reflect the fact that Python is now supported as well. Both languages are highly popular in data science and machine learning. Python is an easy to learn general purpose language, while R was developed mainly for statisticians. Although there is a large amount of overlap between the languages, people with a background in statistics seem to prefer R over Python. On the other hand people new to programming or without a sufficient background in statistics prefer Python because of it's easy to learn syntax. Personally I think it is more a matter of choosing the right tool for the job. I would use Python for creating complex deep learning models and use R to analyze the results afterwards. In this blog I will show you that it is actually possible to do both using R
One of our customers has the following questions: Is it possible to automatically to sign into the application by using the 'I am a domain user' function? (web based application) What does the function 'I am a domain user' do exactly? Does this query the Active Directory, on one of our remote servers this functionality does not work properly and we might have to set this up correctly.
When using 'Resume where you left off', the Learning plan navigator disappears. Then if you finish the subject, you need to go to my courses, open the course again, navigate to where you where, etc. Very annoying. Please fix.
In a default-control-procedure we update a record via the linked server, without any problem with the windows app. If we use the same default-control-procedure in the mobile app with get an unkown error. The error occurs during the post of the ExecuteDefault script
One of our customers is using the ‘treeview component’ to browse their catalog. When selecting a category the corresponding products will be show. At the moment it is possible to select multiple categories, yet the products shown are only of the first selected category. Is it possible to disable the multiselect in the treeview? Or, even better, make it so that all the corresponding products are shown?
Today I have moved the development databases to a separate machine. After some fiddling with server names and user accounts all is working again. I took the dev databases on the production server offline and both the SF and our end product via SF load as usual. The ini file for SF also contains the new server name. I also changed the database names to reflect the name of our end product. Let's say the databases used to begin with COMPANY_ where they now start with APPLICATION_. This means the IAM database was renamed from COMPANY_IAM_ONT to APPLICATION_IAM_ONT. The ini files for SF and end product via SF contain these new database names. Starting SF works but IAM of the software factory becomes inaccessible. As soon as I try to open IAM it wants to connect to the old COMPANY_ database. Temporarily changing the IAM database back to COMPANY_ on the database server and in the ini file takes care of the issue. What steps do I need to follow to rename the IAM database without losing a

We have a large trade item table with 2.125.590 records. This table is visible in the application and uses a top 1000 limit (configured via the SF). A user is currently allowed to set a sorting order on 8 different columns. When a user applies a sort order on 1 column it takes up to 16 seconds for the application to show the sorted set. And Excel style filtering can't handle it all. Trying to place a filter via the Excel style filtering on a column header takes so long that I have to force close the application via the Windows Task Manager. What's the best practice for handling these performance issues? I could create a index for every possible sort column (8 in total). But what if a user wants to sort on multiple columns at once? Then the created index no longer covers the query.
When I copy columns in the SF it also copies the value of "Identity". I cannot imagine a situation where you want to have two columns with the same name with "identity" = 1 on different tables / views. In what situation would you want this to be possible?
In this case the form should only be a small status line at the bottom of the screen. There is enough space to show the form, but if I resize the form I get the message "Increase the size of the form to view the data".
The columns are read only, but contain invalid values after copying them from another view. Is it an error in the software factory? Can they just be ignored?
It seems that the image control behaves differently for Andriod devices compared to iOS. On Android devices the option 'Take a Photo' is missing and the photo library opens immediately Any idea how can this be solved?
For a new project we are going to access a third party application through its API system and I am getting familiar with the HTTP connector in process flows. As far as I understand process flows are only ever initiated by users and cannot be run automatically because they live entirely inside the application. They are not stored procedures on the database and thus cannot be scheduled within the database server (SQL Server in our case). Do correct me if I'm wrong here. I browsed through the IAM production database quickly but I didn't find the process flows there. Where are they stored and is it possible to run them on SQL Server directly? If not then we might have to build procedures with API calls in sql instead. Is that generally advisable or is using certain middleware perhaps a better approach? One of the reasons we have to be able to automate certain API calls is because they will fill certain tables for local analysis that is not possible or desirable with the remote applic
When I add a tag to a topic, it is ignored. The extra Save button that appears when you use the '+ Modify tags' link lies to the user. it will not save a tag if not first the hidden interface of using 'Enter' is used. The extra Save button is also bugged in another way: it throws away any edits the user has added to the topic body. Not cool. Please fix.

Is it possible to create a different translation for the same word in different subjects? In one subject we would like to translate the word "code" to the dutch word "looncomponent", but in another subject we would like the word "code" to be translated to the dutch word "code"? When we change the translation in one subject, the translation is translated for both subjects. I think both use the same translation object.
I want to set some role rights on a specific table but I keep getting this error: Maximum stored procedure, function, trigger, or view nesting level exceeded (limit 32). What is the cause of this error? Or, where do we exceed a limit?
We are trying to print a batch of documents with the help of the reporting service. The logfile shows : 2019-03-01 08:39:47.5227|ERROR|dev_cf_finas|115|Printer name '\\digiserver\Thinkwise_Facturen' not found in installed printers. Valid values are: Microsoft XPS Document Writer. 2019-03-01 08:39:47.5383|FATAL|dev_cf_finas|115|Something went wrong while processing this report: Printer name '\\digiserver\Thinkwise_Facturen' not found in installed printers. Valid values are: Microsoft XPS Document Writer. We are using shared printers on a specific server. It looks like it can not find these shared printers, only locally installed printers. Is there a way to get access to the shared printers?
Where can I activate the option to log IAM Administrator actions ?
For a project, we would like to be able to create RDBMS users from inside the end product. For context, we are using a configurator inside the end product from where we are able to enter the first employee of a new company. We would like to make that employee be able to log in after we finished the configuration. I know which steps to take if I do it by hand; namely: sync my application to IAM, apply the roles to the database, create an IAM user, connect the user to a role, apply the user rights to the end product database and IAM database. Then the user is able to log in. But now I would like the end product to do this process. I'm able to create an user in IAM and give the user the right user group. Now I'm stuck because I can't apply the user rights to the end product database and IAM database. I noticed these tasks aren't Stored Procedures on the SQL database. So the question is, how can I make this work? I heard that in other projects people have run into these challeng
