For several purposes it can be wishful to to have a multi-line field in the grid. It can save space on your forms if you can see the full text of a memo field at once in the grid.At this moment only one line is displayed and it can not be line-wrapped.So I would suggest to create this feature.
Right now Universal grids support Double-Click in grids to start a task/process flow for a whole record/line.In case we have multiple Tasks that are available to be executed for a row you cannot link the double-click of the row in the grid but we need a cell based assignment for the double-click. We require that we have a double-click functionality cell based. Meaning a certain task/process flow can be linked to a cell and upon double-click the task takes the related parameters from the row it is in.
With the new feature open document as floating popup available in Univeral Gui, it's nice to follow it up with another option to emulate lookup popups. Current ‘Open document’ processThe reason for that is in lookup popups, when it's opened it's the only focus of the page. Other components are un interactable, hence the grey background. Making the page opened needs precedence and attention from the user. Lookup Pop upWhile in the current one is that users can still interact with other components of the page. I understand that the choice was made because opening a page is the output of the process and lookup pop ups are pages opened while being inside a process like editing or adding a record. Open Document Pop up
Will it be possible to add a new process action that will trigger when a user entered data on a field? For example, after the user entered data in a field it will save automatically:Without action from the user. We can also consider keyboard actions like when user press [tab] after entering data in a field to start a process a process action. What we currently have is Edit Row process action - User has to press save button to start the process action. Default Procedures - Can consider keystrokes but not possible to combine from process flows.
The Software Factory offers a lot of features which help you identify unused items. One that I am currently missing is a tool which informs you of unused messages. Often checks change overtime and message become redundant. It would be a great help if the Software Factory could inform you of unused messages. That way you can clean up these unused messages.
The overview of unit tests has already been enriched in recent releases with the fields 'Abort', 'Preparation' and 'Assertion'. In the same way, we want to see which unit tests use mock data. This way, you can see more quickly which unit tests fail in combination with mock data. This helps to predict the efforts a team will have to put into this mock data. Assuming that applications grow and data models change, more priority can be given to maintaining, keeping these data sets realistic.
The references in the SF contain a field to save a description. I would like to see that description onto the reference popup in the data modeler, so people are encouraged to enter a little description for the reference. And i would like to see the description field to be mandatory when you differ from the default settings in the Integrity section of the popup. So you consider why you are enable or disable a feature (such as the integrity Check).
It would be nice if the auto generated update handler would not include the added_by and added_on trace fields. Because they are automatically included in the update handler you have to set a value for them, even though technically those two fields should never be overwritten. There are workarounds ofcourse, but i’d rather use the auto generated update handler as is. Our project is in Dutch, so if langauge can also be considered when excluding the added trace fields, that would be nice, because we are using toegevoegd_op en toegevoegd_door as added_by/on.
Can we have the translation of the report variant displayed in the design screen so that I can see the correct report variant?Have created 3 variants of the reports.
Through a double_click_task_start extender, it is possible to define your own action. In our case we start a process flow to open another document that is related to the double clicked detail record.Unfortunately the only way to make this work also shows an icon in the task-bar. This can only be prevented either not showing the task-bar in the screen type, or by including an “invisible”-icon that still can be clicked. We would like the option to indicate whether this icon should or shouldn't be shown in the task-bar. If this is too difficult then not showing this icon would be our preferred alternative. This is something that should be possible, as other actions (such as drag&drop and zoom) are not visible in the task-bar.
In our configuration, only the application pool user of indicium/indicium universal/webgui needs rights to the database, and we want it that way for the lowest possible security risk.It is now possible to prevent rights to be given to the public role on the model database, so we have already achieved a certain degree of security. (https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/kb/tags#limit-database-authorization-with-a-tag)But it is not yet possible to achieve the same on the IAM database, while the IAM controls access to the model database. So it is our wish, with new versions of IAM, that these are also delivered in such a way that rights are never distributed to the public role.As an idea for a possible solution direction: As far as we are concerned, it may also be organized in such a way that the distribution of rights is arranged via 1 SQL script and that we ourselves prevent this sql script from being executed (for example, by means of a switch on the twdeployer.exe)
For big models and applications, the openapi and metadata result is enormous and more often leeds to crashing client applications who want to read it. Would be great to be able to extract definitions for a specific endpoint or other sub-select. https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/indicium/api#metadata
My client has a form with several fields that use a combo look-up control, this is filtered to only show limited number of rows. On a mobile device they are always presented with the on-screen keyboard, even though they never type the values for these fields, the keyboard eats up screen real estate while being unused. It would be great to be able to make the field behave like a domain with elements would with the look-up settings.
When changing the application in IAM the existing tabs, which were opened by the user, will stay open. It would be nice if this could be changed and that when someone changes from one application to another application, the existing tabs were closed. Not as a default but as an option using extended properties.
We increasingly encourage to register the test scenarios they have in the SF under Manual Test Scenarios. Key users should also be able to do this. Both the registration of these scenarios and the execution of a test run. This also includes creating findings. There is actually no role for this yet. A test role. A role that only makes these test functionalities available. The situation is such that we have indicated that we will register the test scenarios in the SF. These are currently in an Excel file.Later, if Key-users are going to perform regression tests, for example, it would be appropriate if they could do this via the SF. Then all these test runs are registered. The wish is therefore to create a test role that can at least be used for the following components:Specification -> Manual Test Scenarios Quality -> Manual Tests
When creating a table column that has a calculation type, it is necessary to write some code. Based on the type, the structure of the code will be different from one and other. Such like Expression columns, you can make use of the “T1.” alias, which is the table itself, whilst Calculated columns cannot use this.Just like the code example in Control procedure for SQL-typed CP's, I would like a short example that shows me as a developer what I can (and cannot) use as code. Example: Expression: concat_ws(' ', t1.first_name, t1.last_name) --Thanks @Robbert :) Calculated: (100.0 + tax_percentage) / 100.0 Calculated (function): select sum(order_total) from sales_order where sales_order_id = @sales_order_id
Currently the Subname object is placed within the Quality → Validation section. This is not preferred. There should a direct menu item for the subnames in the Software Factory. Probably under the menu group Data.
