Through a double_click_task_start extender, it is possible to define your own action. In our case we start a process flow to open another document that is related to the double clicked detail record.
Unfortunately the only way to make this work also shows an icon in the task-bar. This can only be prevented either not showing the task-bar in the screen type, or by including an “invisible”-icon that still can be clicked.
We would like the option to indicate whether this icon should or shouldn't be shown in the task-bar. If this is too difficult then not showing this icon would be our preferred alternative.
This is something that should be possible, as other actions (such as drag&drop and zoom) are not visible in the task-bar.
Update: using the Universal GUI you can use the "Display type” field of the task to decide whether the task is available for the double-click but hidden, or also can be manually executed from the toolbar.

From the 2024.1 release, which is expected in January, this is also possible using the Windows GUI.
