Hi All, In Universal gui I find myself constantly and more and more violently hitting the ESCAPE key on my keyboard trying to close popups. I click on a lookup to check if I select the correct client, or whatever, and want to close it. BAM! But nothing happens. Idea; Use Escape keyboard button to close a lookup/popup in Universal gui (next to Cancel button) Alexander (Note, I assume this is on the backlog anyway, given the win gui specs.. So it’s between an idea and the question… ‘when we will get this?’ )
For a client we need to connect to the HDN network (Hypotheker Data Network). We have been able to simulate the required communication with the network using both Postman and Insomnia but are running into some issues building this connection using Thinkwise. (Simulation available on request)The root cause of this issue is the fact that connecting to the network requires the use of a private certificate as authentication. In postman this means installing a certificate issued by HDN and the private key of that certificate. Postman will use this certificate for all calls to the provided domain. Based on this certificate an access token is provided for use with the API.When sending a message to the network (base64 encoded XML) the network also required me to attach a signature of the message to the json encoded request.body. We currently see no option for sending out http request from Thinkwise using a private certificate. We have been unable to create message signatures based on the private key of a certificate.I can understand if this issue is niche and not suited for the general branch of the Thinkwise release and a custom CLR would probably ben completely workable for us. Or do any of you have any briliant ideas that we haven’t come up with yet?(Ideally this would also work for the Oauth login connector as that it what we’re trying to do.)
In the data modeler when add columns you have the option to select a set of columns and copy these columns into the selected table. I use this tool quite often. Unfortunately this copy option also copies the Identity setting from the selected columns. In 99% of the cases that I use this option I do not want this property to be copied.I sometimes forget that this property will be copied. The result is a table where by accident a column has been marked as Identity column. It would be a of great help if you have the option to disable the Identity property when using this copy function. The task already has such a checkbox for the property Primary Key.
When merging, the fields are fairly small. this way I always need to click to click the lookup and select correct branch. Make this wider, so i can read the whole field. Also, perhaps when a branch is selected, auto fill the branch current project… with the latest version of the branch. Rarely one merges an older version?
As a developer, I want to be able to quickly switch between my last 5 searches to see the Code search results. This will allow developers to effectively search multiple expressions and inspect the results of these searches quickly. It will also decrease the amount of times a developer would have to Code search once again for the same expressions even though the results would not be any different from the previous search.
I would like the model rights tab, or jump tasks, to be available for each SF object (table, task, report etc). When you change a table you also have to change the role rights (e.g. new column). Now you have to open the model rights from the menu and search for the object. The same counts for functionality. I would like to change functionality at the place where it is related to. When I add parameters to a task, I would like to be able to change the default, layout and task functionality in the context of this task.
I would like the smoke tests to be added to the quality dashboard. This could be added in the 'test quality' section.Furthermore, in the same style and presentation as the other test types.
I would like to merge branches to other branches, even when the only thing they have in common is the main branch. There already have been several questions about this: The suggestion there is to always use a common branch between branches so that branch A may be merged to branch B via common branch C. We are increasingly struggling with our branches however. It often happens that incomplete functionality in branch A is needed in branch B and we didn’t foresee this when we created the branches. With the recent changes to project versions and how differences are calculated, would it now be possible to implement support for merging branches to other (not directly related) branches? Somewhat like how Git supports this.
Hi!I recently found out that the combination of a BIT datatype and an Image combo does not work.It does work with the different int data types, but not as BIT.I thought it would be a good little addition! Current situation
We would like some functionality in Universal which makes it possible for a user to hide columns/groups of columns in their view. Are there any plans for implementing such functionality and if not, is this a possibility?
Allowing the action bar (and by extension, the search, because that's included in the action bar) to be modeled vertically. See: action bar vertical | Thinkwise Community (thinkwisesoftware.com)
Recently Universal got the filter form, this gives users a powerful way of filtering data. Our users would like to be able to save their created filters and share these with other users. This gives users a way of creating filters they often use without having to ask developers to create prefilters.
As a developer, I want the filtering capabilities of Universal to be identical as the filtering capabilities of the Windows GUI.The Windows GUI accepts form filters and combined filters for date and datetime fields. These work as expected. Universal however does not show these types of filters, as the capability is not implemented.
The Export functionality (aswell as Import and Mass update) is currently scheduled somewhere Q1 2021 but does not have a set sprint and release date yet.Our company users are using “export to Excel” every day and this functionality is highly desirable and should be implemented before others in my opinion. ThinkWise suggest creating an idea, this idea, for it and create a lot upvotes. Help! Vote!
I'll like to see that conditional layouts could also apply to the progressbar control in a grid. With this you can put emphasis on progressbars indicating a specific value.
Currently, Indicium itself provides no way to check if the service (and its dependencies) is/are healthy. For our transition to a microservice architecture for internal systems, some of which connect to Indicium as a data source, such a health check would be great to have. Here are some elements I would say are required for a meaningful health check:Service availability This is the most basic check, basically just tells us if Indicium is running at all. Database connectivity In the context of Thinkwise software probably the second most important check, it tells us whether the Indicium service layer is successfully connected to the database. Database responsiveness Probably the most important check for Thinkwise software, it tells us the responsiveness of the database, which is generally a good indication of overall performance. Available memory It tells us how much system memory is available to the Indicium application. A useful indicator for performance, caching and, for Universal specifically, availability for staging resources. Some optional nice-to-haves include:Available disk storage Depending on if Indicium ever writes to disk, it is useful to get an indication how much disk storage is available to the application. Backup database connectivity If present, a check telling us whether Indicium can successfully connect to the back-up database in case something happens to the primary database is a useful indicator of continued availability. App version check Tells us which version of Indicium itself or the implemented application is running. I think this would be a good addition to Indicium as part of the Thinkwise platform, as well as a step forward to allowing other software to integrate with Indicium as a service easier and securely.Should anyone have any questions, concerns or additional requirements, do please leave them in the comments! Thanks in advance. PS: This idea was based on a Thinkwise Community question posted earlier about the existence of a health check.
Hi,Is there a guide for consultants for IAM maintenance? Cleaning up sessions, etc, anything that can be done to make sure IAM is set-up correct, caches removed, cleaned, and no logs are cluttering this world etc, etc. Development delivers a new version, but that does not mean that old stuff is cleaned automatically.. and consultants don't know what can and can't be done. A simple sheet or guide would be great! Blommetje
For a production operator console / touch screen scenario I wish to have just a big ‘Save’ button on the screen.Maybe there is a work-around to achieve this?
Is it possible to hide fields as they can't be filled by users. Example the filtercomponent: It is only possible to fill the "till” field as a field is Between (Tussen) or Not Between (Niet tussen). It changes as it is fillable but it can better be hide when not fillable. It also for the look-ups they invite a user to use thefield or look-up
