Propose your fantastic ideas regarding the Thinkwise Platform to our Product Team.
On subjects with many tasks, it is hard for the user to find the right task in the universal GUI. It is also impossible to show the tasks with name on the screen because it will never fit (and we don't want to put alsmost everything in the overflow menu).Adding a task group doesn’t really help since it only creates a splitter. Please add support for task-group sub menu to the universal GUI so that we can create a drop down with tasks. Example (this subject even has more tasks in the overflow menu and hidden by context):
When creating DEV/ACC applications in the IAM, it’s mainly a copy of already existing applications to have the authorizations already in place. As we usually have the (in our case the 2) ‘default application’ on the top, it would like to keep them at the top and newly added applications should always be on the bottom.Suggestion to do a MAX on the 'order_no’ and add 10 to it in the default when copying the application.
Within Thinkwise, when the “start empty with filter” option is enabled in the Subject menu, the Windows GUI shows an empty screen when opening the form and immediately displays a popup with filter options.I am currently working for a customer who would like this behavior as well. In the old application, it works exactly the same as in the Windows GUI.I would like this to work in the same way in Universal: opening the screen should immediately show the filter popup. If this is not possible, I would like to have a process flow action available that can open/activate the filter popup.
Could the user who triggered the query be added to the slow query log in IAM please? This would help when a specific user complains about performance so you could zoom in on his/her queries only.
At this moment Excel style filters are not available on all columns. Using the normal filter is an option, but takes much more time for the user to set. Please make this available ASAP (MoSCoW - should) Also for other type of fields (not checkbox, date)Priority order: checkbox, combo box, date, other
I would like so see support in the Universal for popup sizing.Minimal width of the popup Maximum width of the popup (now it sizes to the full with of the page, word-wrap should kick in earlier based on a setting) When you have multiple columns, relative occupation could be set (% per column, to a total of 100%)
Details of a plan are not every user friendly to see, would be great if we could click on a resource group and see a day calendar view for a day.. Where you have a better overview on the data.
How would you like the idea to have a lookup icon on the grid when you are in read only mode?Currently we can see the lookup icon only in Edit mode: Why not have it also when we are in plain view read only mode similar to the FORM.It could be controlled via CSS to hide and make it visible on Hover or hide all together.
I would like to be able to assign a task/report/prefilter to a bar, like we assign details to a detailgroup. I want to be able to show other objects in the bar above the grid, than the objects on the form or even in the ribbon. In case we use 2 bars in the same screentype you get all the objects in both bars (see Any ideas/tricks to running tasks from different parts of the same screen?). It would be easier to assign the objects to the bar.
The issue about the mandatory fields in the Universal is closed. I installed 2025.03 Universal and it seems that the mandatory fields are now indicated with a really small asterisk which has the same color as the theme color. Please make this asterisk RED or much better please add an option that the mandatory fields may have another background. The windows users are really used to it and it’s really visible. It seems that there are no options at all anymore to tweak the colors of the GUI. It’s just the main color and the accent color and that’s it. If for what ever reason that is not what TW likes to implement then please mark the mandatory fields with a RED little bit bigger asterisk, that’s what you indeed see on a lot of websites. This item was closed for comments… So that’s why I created a new idea.
The latest GUI (2025.3.12.0) supports header filtering for numeric fields, which generally are aligned to the right side. The three dots for header filtering are then placed on the left side of the field. And when a header is multiple rows, the three dots are vertically aligned to the middle. The effect of this is a unclear and sloppy header when fields with different alignments are mixed. For a user it isn’t instantly clear which three dots are for which field this way. For example: Please always place the three dots on the bottom right side of the header (or make this configurable).
At this moment, the IN filter is only available for domain columns Would be very helpful for users to be able to use this filter on other domains as well
Using UP, it is already possible to create and save your own prefilters, by entering values for the available columns in the table. This always leads to an and-based prefilter, which has limited options. I would like to be able to make my prefilters by writing a query or by saving my filter expressions. This way you can also make your own or-based prefilters, use subqueries or joins, etc.
IAM is available in a few languages, but users of IAM need to assign roles to user groups based on the name of the role and the description. With internationalisation in mind and not knowing what language the IAM user understands, we need to be able to provide the names and descriptions of the roles in each language that IAM is available in. Not just the language the application is made in.
Deeplinking is only possible in the Web GUI and on the backlog for Universal development.See details in my question and request @Edwin Saan:Please vote if you need or like this feature in Universal to. Universal Forecast:
Currently you can use the Processflow monitor to test system flows. This is a very useful feature. There is however one issue with the current screen. You cannot search/filter within the list of system flows. Often this list will become quite large. Please implement a search/filter for this dropdown list
In the Universal GUI you can press ctrl-r and the filter form cursor will always be on the first field value. In the Windows GUI you can select a field in a list, press ctrl-r and the cursor in the filter form will be on the value of the selected field. Please add this feature to the Universal GUI too.
It is currently possible to link a base model to a work model. But if you want to change something, you will have to do it in the base model. This makes it impossible to integrate it with other objects of your model.I would like to have the option to import a full base model into a work model instead of just linking it. Basically the same result as using the ‘Unlink generated object’ on all objects of the base model. This would make it easier to integrate Thinkstore projects into our own projects.
We would like to have the ability to use Push Notifications on Demand to send custom messages to our users. Currently the only notification that you get from the Universal GUI is during a system Upgrade to a new version, or once asking you to install the app on your device. The Idea is to have a built in way for push notifications on demand to users fromwithin the build application IAM Both the aboveSending a notification to users for critical items as per the developed application demands.Optional if possible to be able to select the delivery medium from:SMS iOS, Android, and web push Notifications
