The theme for our application was developed a long time ago (2014 with TSF G8).Because we are now using the screentype component “Prefilterbar” more often, we need to improve how this looks. When we designed this, apparently the background color was set to gradient (white to gray) but now it is not always clear when a prefilter is active or inactive. This is especially a problem in the web GUI. In the Windows GUI it does look how we would like to have it.This is how it looks in the web GUI (no clear contrast between active and inactive): This is how it looks in the Windows GUI (clear contrast between active and inactive): The same theme is used for both platforms. What do I have to change to improve the look and feel for the inactive prefilters the web GUI?
Is it possible to remove the Options section at the login screen? For our end users it's not relevant and only raises questions. I'm aware that it can be set to read only, but that isn't enough.
Is it possible to disable the dark mode theme in the Universal GUI?
I would like to validate if the input is valid, using regex. In my case it's a text field where the user can enter an IBAN number. Is there an option in the SF to do that? Thanks, Regards, Peter
is it possible to print from the web gui to a local printer crystal reports or reporting service
I’m trying to get the IAM login logo to show up in the Web GUI. I use SF 2020.2 with all hotfixes applied and using Web GUI 2020.2.22. In the IAM i did configure the Login Logo in the Global Settings → Login → Logo and uploaded a file. I also invalidated the caches. The Web GUI still displays the Thinkwise Logo.I know that this setting is available with the settings.ini file, but i try to keep all my application data together in the database. I have not specified an ApplicationLoginLogo property in the settings.ini file.Am i doing something wrong here, or is this functionality not available yet in the Web GUI?
How can we use the cursor_to_col_id parameter in a default procedure when using Universal GUI?In this question it's mentioned this parameter only works when leaving the field by using the [Enter]-key. But using Universal GUI it's not possible to use [Enter] to leave a field.Especially if a user works on a mobile device .
Hi!Is there a way to hide all the action buttons (so including the Refresh button)? We are using a Detail Tab in the Screen Type and we would like to see all the action buttons, including the white-space, to be hidden. ps. Turning off the ‘Navigation’ checkbox does not help.
Is it possible to show SVG as image in a cardlist column? We have a column with a SVG-element. But when i use this column in a cardlist, the SVG-element is not translated to an image. It shows the SVG-element code instead of the image. We are using the latest version of the Universal GUI (v1.5.2).
When modeling roles, you can easily verify this using Role simulation. I noticed this only works for the Windows GUI, the Web GUI isn't affected by this setting. Is this intended? We try to only use the Web GUI (while developing) as our end users also use this GUI, not the Windows GUI. In the past we’ve encountered several issues due to differences in Windows GUI / Web GUI, so we try to keep as close as possible to the product the end users sees.
Hello,I was wondering what integration options Thinkwise offers on dedicated hadheld barcode scanners.I know mobile uses the camera of the mobile device, but that is not always the best and quickest way to scan multiple code fast after each other. Are integration solutions already in operation with other clients? If not, how do I get the information I need to start? Are there multiple solutions possible and which is the best?Do I use a USB or bluetooth handheld to connect with a PC on which a TSF client is installed. Does it have to communicate through a webservice? Is it better to work offline or online? Thanks, Joost van Lier
I would like to restrict my users to a single session. The user may only be able to login from a single computer. If the user try to login from an other computer the session must be blocked. Is this possible?
Are badges meant to be shown on table tasks? The badges work fine when the task shown as a menu item or tile, but not when used in a subject. Is this the expected behaviour or am I missing something?
Hi All,I have a question about using subreports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) in Thinkwise.Currently for testing I am using Microsoft Visual Studio (using Report Server Project) to make a simple main report with a subreport. What I did was I made 2 reports (see Figure 1). First the MainReport.rdl and second the SubReport.rdl Then in the MainReport insert subreport item then right-click on subreport item then Subreport properties then under "Use this report as a subreport:" I select the subreport file I made earlier named SubReport. In Software Factory in Reports I'm using for Report type "SSRS (Local)" then in File I select the MainReport.rdl. When I'm opening the report in application I get an error (see Figure 2) saying that subreport could not be found at specified location....What I did I moved the subreport to the specified location given in the error and renamed the file from .rdl to .rdlc and got the expected result information on the subreport. My questions:Is that the w
Is it possible to conditionally format the progress bar control, used with a domain, in a grid?E.g. 90% - 100% Green, 100% - 125% Red.
Is it possible to reuse existing icon, already stored in the database, for in a form or for group section?Like an info icon can be used very often on different places. Will be helpfull when working with more developers to avoid to have the icons stored multiple times. Now only upload option is there.
Hi all,Currently my IAM Db is quite large. The main culprit is the table “get gui cache”, which takes up far over 1gb. I do not know/understand why this is, and this is driving the costs for backups through the roof… So, just for conversation.. How big is yours? I created a ticket within TCP, and I can clear it manually, but that does not feel like a great solution. Other than that, they send me over here and discuss it. So, let’s! Any thoughts on this? Kind regards, Alex
We are developing with our SQL Server for Thinkwise on Azure. We have various users as sf_developers. Unfortunately it is currently only possible to deploy changes in our (data) model when logged in as tsf_admin. Other users are not allowed to make changes to the application database. What do I need to do so that other sf_devolepers can also deploy their changes to the application database?Related to this:Currently I also have to create users for each application database. So also for all sf_developers so that they can test their own changes. Can this be automated in some way?
We've enabled the platform 'Mobile' in the SF, because we're planning on using the Universal GUI as the client for mobile devices. This gives us some validations messages, on which I assume only apply on the 'old' Mobile GUI because the Universal GUI is lazy loaded. The following validations are shown:- Table is reachable in mobile- Task is reachable in mobile- Report is reachable in mobile, this is not yet supportedAs we're not going to use the 'old' Mobile GUI, I could approve them, but I assume it better to solve the root cause. But I can't find where it's defined that a table / task / report is 'reachable'. In the Validations I did find it's stored in the table reachable_tab, reachable_task and reachable_report, but how can I access those tables in the SF?We could use "Universal" instead of Mobile as platform, but I think it's better to keep that slot free for when moving from the Web GUI to Universal.
Hi,for the entire app we use a lot of fields with values with a comma. However, TW by defaults uses a point. Now this is not too bad for our friends in the us of a. But here in Europe, I would very much like to offer a comma in values. Is this possible? It is needed for money, size, weight, etc.
Does anybody know how to create a task which works on 2 independent lists. Let’s say I have a list with demands and I have a list with supply’s. These 2 lists are shown on 1 screen and horizontally devided. (I’ve created a reference with no reference columns) So the top list is the demand list and the below list is the supply list.I want to be able to select a demand line in the demand list and to select a specific supply line in the supply list as well. Then I want to start a task which can connect this specific demand line and this specific supply line. For example to create a new orderline based on this selected demand line and selected supply line.An example is the task “create list bar item” in the SF. In that case the system knows which subject I want to add to the listbar and the system knows as well which menu item (at the left side) is selected so the chosen subject will be placed in the correct submenu. Can we do this with two independent lists as well?
How do I edit a crystal report in the 2020.2.20.0 version?
Hi,I have a question about a message that is shown in the Universal GUI. Message: "No matching row was found. Would you like to change the search parameters?”.This occurs when i use a detail page with the preview component. The message is visible in the preview component. After pushing the refresh button from the actions pane, the preview is working again. But when i reload the page in the browser and go to the same detail page, the message is shown again.Any idea why this happens? Is it a bug?
Does anyone know how I can set the color of the tiles in the universal GUI? They are white right now. I checked the documentation and it speaks about the universal theme.https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/themes.html#tab Where can I find this page in the SF? I checked all Theme pages and tabs but this screenshot is nowhere to find. I hope someone can help me out
Does anyone know why the report builder is looking to my local user path when executing a report? Below a piece of debug:/****************Translation: [tracking_sheet]Report path: C:\Users\edwin.saan\AppData\Local\Thinkwise Software\GUI\GUI\Cache\Images\ERP_1.01\Report\tracking_sheet_Tracking_sheet.rdlParameters: @fkcarrier = 1Action: PrintPreviewHost: VC-ERP01\ERP01Database: ERP*****************/In the report I upload the file from the application path: C:\Thinkwise\Applications\ERP\1.01\reports
