Since Software Factory 2020.2 All images are stored in the database. Also the IAM Global Settings has an option for an Application icon and the Application has an option for an icon. Is this icon also used as favicon for the Web GUI?

Is it possible to have the favicon served from the database?

I tried this, but without any luck so far.

From release 2021.1.10, the Web GUI now also listens to Global Settings->Application Icon from IAM.

Hi Eric,

The favicon currently cannot be served by the database as it has to be a file on disk. The Application Icon setting in Global Settings is only for the Windows GUI. You can alter the favicon by using the Extended property BrowserIcon.

A lot of icons are already coming from the database, sadly this setting has not been implemented. Feel free to create a topic in the Ideation section. You will get my vote for sure

Kind regards,
