Different translations for the same word in different subjects

Is it possible to create a different translation for the same word in different subjects? In one subject we would like to translate the word "code" to the dutch word "looncomponent", but in another subject we would like the word "code" to be translated to the dutch word "code"? When we change the translation in one subject, the translation is translated for both subjects. I think both use the same translation object.

Http connector error

Hello!I have this error in the error log "Process action "connect_to_api" in process flow "process_flow_test_api" in application 2 returned the following message: "The external webserver (…..) responded with the following error: 'The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.". I have tried to call the process flow from Postman with the Post method and I get status 201 Created .We have a client certificate on that server and my ip address and the ip address of the app are whitelisted.Do you know what can cause this error in the error log ?

Subroutines and the api

We have made an subroutine and mark this as an API (OData). This subroutine works fine when you use no parameters. When we profile with sql server the call is done but the parameter is null. TSF_dotNET.exe versus TSF_CS.exe

We consider using TSF_dotNET.exe instead of TSF_CS.exe from a network share for starting the Windows GUI in a terminal server setup. This way we want to avoid the growth of the App Data folder. Are there any disadvantages to this idea?

Cube keeps using RAM even after it's closed

Cubes, even small ones, use quite a bit of RAM. 1 GB for an average sized cube is not exceptional. One of our larger cubes with lots of dimension and value fields easily exceeds 2 GB and that’s already after applying pre-filters to minimize the data set. This RAM usage is fine when the cube is actually being used but I’ve noticed the application never releases the RAM after the cube has been closed. I checked to make sure that memory optimization for the table is switched off but that doesn’t seem to affect cubes. I’m a bit worried we will hit the limit of our terminal server despite the 48 GB of RAM per machine. We plan to add more cubes in our application in the near future.Is there a way to force the application to release the RAM after a cube is closed? Perhaps even release the RAM when the cube is opened in the background for a while? Because even when there is plenty of available RAM left it doesn’t make sense not to release it, especially when reopening the same cube only seems

Self registration and SSO via Azure Active Directory B2C?

Hi all,Does Indicium on Azure support Microsoft's Azure AD B2C? Azure AD B2C can use OAuth2.0 as well as OpenID Connect, which I see in our docs as well.Is there any reason this would not work when running Indicium on Azure?Would this enable self-registration to an IAM, that is, enable the general public to use an app on the TW platform without the administrator of the app creating a user?

Is 2-factor authentication supported in combination with Indicium and the Windows GUI.

We want to use 2 factor authentication Our configuration consists of IAM database / Indicium / Windows GUI client The Indicum is in our DMZ en the Windows Gui client makes a connection through the internet (https) with indicium. I've read in [url=https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/blogs-21/two-factor-authentication-33]https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/blogs-21/two-factor-authentication-33[/url] that in G9.8 there was no support for 2-factor authentication in combination with the Windows GUI. But time has gone by and I want to ask whether it is now possible for us to use 2-factor authentication in our configuration.

Importing data - Invalid OData URL error

Hi!I'm trying to import data in the Universal GUI, but receiving a "bad request” error message after finishing all the steps in the popup. Only the following info shows up in the error log:[ERR] Invalid OData URL. The path '"/_staged_import_organisation(14200c4a-ff5d-44c8-945d-5b588e98edac)/start_commit"' is invalid. (2f035637)Microsoft.OData.ODataException: Unsupported route. No matching entity or operation found.I'm importing a simple xls file with company names, directly into the table. Some columns in the destination table are mandatory (some checkboxes, user and datetime field) and I am providing a set value for these during the import.Any idea what's going on here?

Suppress message that system flow is still running

We have a system flow that runs every minute. Most of the time it does not do anything. However sometimes it does quite a lot. This process takes up to more than a few minutes. This is aboslutely no problem. Except that this makes the indicium log file flood itself with ‘procsess still running’ exceptions. Is there an example how to build the HTTP request for an open API request?

I want to use an open API request as described in Case: A message protocol-independent web service (part 1 of 2) by @Anne Buit, to exchange data in JSON format between two different Thinkwise applications. When I execute the request in Insomnia, it works fine (http response status 200 with request body). When I execute the request with the HTTP request in a process flow, I get a status code -1 with HTTP response status 0. When I look in the database event log of Indicium, I can see the request is processed, but without succes. There is a response header, but I can’t find a reason. Is there an example how to build the HTTP request for an open API request? What headers should be provided etc?

TSFReportmailer and system flow

Does the TSFReportmailer custom task work inside a system flow? I tried to do so but keep getting a -1 status code on the execute system task. The same TSFReportmailer task works fine in a system flow using Start task.

Multi-row task execution on indicium

Hi,I'm trying to understand the multi task execution via Indicium (Universal):https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/indicium/multi-row_tasks.htmlI’ve managed to get it working:POST /sf/appl/subject(key)/task_dummy/stageReturns a new location where you can add rows. For each row you call:POST /sf/appl/subject(key)/staged_task_dummy(id)/add_contextand finally POST /sf/appl/subject(key)/task_dummy(id)/commitHowever, the add_context step can be depending on the size quite an amount of http calls. This is exact what I would like to prevent with multirow task execution.Is it somehow to run a multirow task in a single http call, or at a maximum of three? I've tried to run the task without staging, but that gives an error in Indicium: Cannot change the value of the property 'multi_row' of 'task_dummy'.The application model prohibits editing this property.I think this is caused by the fact that the input parameter multi_row is hidden.I can think of an alternative with an API exposed subroutin

Process flow API endpoint - sequential processing

Within the SF we have setup a process flow as an API webservice which is open to receive EDI files from an EDI broker. The process flow itself is rather simple, it has a start, decision and an end. The decision contains code to parse an XML file, perform some checks (for instance call a stored procedure which sends an email if invalid data is sent) and insert a purchase order (+ some logging info).The question is:Are the EDI messages sent to our endpoint always handled sequentially by this process flow? We have seen EDI messages being send in rapid succession, with a few thousands of a second in between messages (see image below).The reason for this question is that we have an insert trigger that can handle both sets and individual purchase orders. However, we believe that orders sent in such rapid succession as is the case in the first 3 rows, is not handled well by the insert trigger. Thanks in advance.

Triggers vs Process flows

On the one hand you can use a triggers control procedure for performing extra actions. On the other hand you can also accomplish this by using process flows.I'm curious to find out reasons for using one over the other. Are the Trigger-procedures old functionality that will be deprecated soon? Or are Trigger-procedures the way to go?When do you use one over the other and why?

List Folder connector parameter recursive

I have following warning in the indicium log (2022.2.15):2022-11-15T09:45:00.0010321+01:00 [WRN] Process action "list_folder_connector_ubl_files" in processflow "ubl_read_files_system_flow" in application 224 returned the following message: "The parameter 'Delete all directory contents' was provided with an invalid value 'list_folder_recursive_no'. Only disk_list_recursive_on and disk_list_recursive_off are recognized, defaulting to disk_list_recursive_off (false)." (86be518d) It tells me to provide a value on or off, but I can only choose No or Yes:

Set timeout Universal GUI session

Hi, we want to setup that the Universal GUI sessions expires in x minutes. We've create an application pool for the Universal GUI (Agent disabled).In the advance settings of that application pool, by 'Process Model’ we've set the ‘Idle Time-out’ in x minutes. What happenend in the Universal GUI now is that after the x minutes the session ‘freezed’. When you start a task or someting, the session responds after af few seconds. Also tried setting the session state as described in Docs. But in the Universal site i'm not able to edit the Session State. When i set the session state in ‘Default Web Site’. is not working. So what is the right way to setup timeout in Universal GUI?

Auto refresh table variant in Universal

Is it possible to use a scheduled process flow in Universal to refresh a table variant? I want to auto refresh a table variant using an interval, but i can't get this working. The "Auto refresh” functionality on the subject is also not working. That should be the normal way to do this, but i think this isn't implemented in Universal yet?I'm using Universal 2021.1.10.0.

Indicium requires RequireHttpsMetadata=false setting but how do I set this?

I can no longer navigate to my local indicium instance. It's giving me a 500 error and the log shows this error: 2022-12-05T13:46:28.4343183+01:00 8000000b-0009-ff00-b63f-84710c7967bb [ERR] An unhandled exception occurred while processing the request. (ffba027a)System.InvalidOperationException: The MetadataAddress or Authority must use HTTPS unless disabled for development by setting RequireHttpsMetadata=false.Where do I set this setting? I can't find any documentation on this. Do I set it in the appsettings or web config? And in what section does this need to be added?

Check the progress of a systemflow

Hi,In a windows gui we cannot have a subflow (some API calls which can take a few seconds) in a manually started processflow, so we have made a systemflow starting this subflow based on a queue table.From the client, we have a task starting a processflow that inserts a record in the queue table, and then system flow will execute. During the execution, I want to disable the task-button and when the systemflow is finished I want to refresh the table so the user sees the new information.In the queue we have a processed bit, so it’s possible the processflow progress. When the processed bit is set, we can finish the processflow. Using waitfor delay seems to freeze the whole application.Is it possible to pause or temporarily loop a processflow, without freezing the app?

What is the added value of using a subroutine procedure instead of a task without table task?

In the SF you can create a subroutine procedure to create a non-gui task. However, you can also create a task and not create a table task for it. I was wondering in what situation one would use a subroutine procedure over a task without a table task? When using subroutines there are some disadvantages. There are 2 places you need to maintain the logic (in tasks and in subroutines). Functionality can not be shared between tasks and subroutines. Subroutines can not be added to the gui or a process flow. This sometimes leads to new placeholder tasks to give the subroutine some GUI functionality. So therefore i'm wondering what is the added value of the subroutine procedure?

How to use color domain to color the data inserted?

I have created a table where there are different types of stands and they have different color code. I have a cloumn where you create a stand type and specify the color to that stand. I do know how to use conditional formating but conditional formating is for static data and only developer can assign the color. I want the end user to enter the stand type and the color code which will be assigned to the stands in master tab and detailed tabs or views where ever the stands will be displayed.

Consume OData API via .NET Core

I'm trying to use the Indicium OData API via a .NET Core 3.0 console application. I receive an exception on inserting records, while the record is inserted in the database. I have no clue why. I'm not sure if this is an issue in the Indicium OData API or the .NET nuget package. For example I want to add a ‘server’ to the IAM database.
