We currently only use the Web GUI on which we apply a maximum of 1 concurrent users per account, to prevent account sharing. This works great, except that we actually planning on developing an application on top of the rest API of Indicium.What can happen is the following:The user is logged in in the Web GUI. We have developed a plug-in for another piece of software to generate an export file. This export file can be exported in the plug-in and uploaded again in the Web GUI. But instead of all those manual actions of exporting, uploading (several clicks), we want to allow the user to directly upload that export file.This is already possible using the Indicium OData API, so that's achieved. Problem is that when you are logged in in the Web GUI client, you will get a http 403 error in the Indicium plug-in on each call when you’re also logged in in the Web GUI, due to the concurrent access restriction. I trying to create a unit test for a task where the user can input a xml file from an external source. I'm facing the issue that those files are always larger than the input field length, even if i try to minimize the xml as much as possible (unit_test_input_parmtr_overview.input_value = 1000).Is there a work around for this?
There is an option to add custom code to the Upgrade code group to do for example an insert into a table. However, how do I use this when using a branch? for example if I have a table with 2 rows and during development I want to add row number 3. trunk version 1 2 rows exist branch version 1 2 rows exist branch version 2 3 rows should exist trunk version 2 3 rows should exist Branch version 2 is merged back to the trunk to create trunk v2 and trunk version 2 will be used to do the upgrade from trunk version 1 to 2. The actual insert is developed in branch version 2. Now I have two options: option 1: If I use after upgrade always then the code is in the upgrade script every release untill i delete it manually. option 2 :If I use after upgrade from branch 1 to branch 2 then insert part gets lost in the trunk version 2. How do I do this correctly? If I have to do it manually in trunk version 2 then it beats the purpose of the upgrade script part.

I was trying to use the Microsoft SQL Server system data type Hierarchyid. This data type is extremely useful for data that contains some kind of hierarchy. For example multi level BOM structures. However, when I set up a domain as a DTTP my context couldn't handle it and later on the mobile GUI wouldn't even start since it couldn't handle this data type(said the error log). My question is if someone can confirm that this data type is not supported by the GUI's (Web, Windows and Mobile)? When exporting data to Excel the character “&” is being shown as “&”. This is done by the button “Exporteren” in the toolbar of the Windows GUI. Can this be fixed please?
hi all, I was wondering, can anyone shine a light on this. I have a record (shipment - saved). I edit and add a Ship. This ship has some info like time of departure. These field are displayed in my Shipment screen as Expression fields. However, when i Edit Shipment, with the looking glass Add a new Ship, insert this… the expression fields remain empty until I save the shipment. Is this the normal flow of things? It happens in both web gui and windows gui. I of course would like the fields to be refreshed after inserting a new ship and connecting it to my shipment (so without the save). Who knows?! Alex
To ensure that no duplicate values are entered in specific columns that do not participate in the primary key, you can create a unique constraint. A unique constraint automatically creates a corresponding unique index. Does the SF also give this option?
Hi, I was wondering what is the best way to deal with timezones? We currently deploy the application via Azure where we use 'UTC' time. But that isn't the locale time of the user / customer.We currently only use time for 'inserted on' and 'modified on' and 'print date' for reports. The times the user sees should not be UTC, but its local time. For example, consider a table purchase_order with a lookup to an address table.The link is made to the PK field of the address table.In the purchase order screen, I want to be able to show fields of the address as separate fields.I know it is possible to work with expression fields, but multiple lookup queries to the same table is not desirable.Concatenate address fields is also not what I want. I have a table task that is part of an process flow. This task must be hidden because only the process flow must be able to execute this task. When i uncheck the ‘Show task’ setting for the table task the process flow stops working.Is there a good reason why this behaves like this?
Hey all,I have a view with 3 prefilters. Is it possible to create a layout proc or ctx proc to toggle the filters on/off? [1][2][3]If prefilter [1] is active, I want [2] and [3] to be hidden. I do this with ctx procs for print buttons and tasks, but for prefilters I can't get it running. Overlooking something or is this not possible? Thanks!
Check constraints is only defined on tables. However it could be helpful to define constraints on columns or even domains. Searching on internet I find references that constraints on domains have the advantage of defining them just once instead of defining them for every use. I have not found any information in the community, so I assume there is a reason why constraints are only defined on a table. So what reasons are there for only defining a constraint on a table instead of also defining them on columns and domains?
I managed to create an API task to upload images in the application, save a record in the database and store the file in azure file storage. This opens the door to new features One more optimization could be made for how the storage location should now be included in the API call. I would like to get the yellow marked piece from the settings in IAM. Or rather not want to participate in the API call at all. Any idea how this could best be solved?
First off: I'm hoping it's OK that questions are asked about Universal, especially since it is an essential part of our current development. We've set all our project versions to Inactive (except the current branch), but nonetheless all our project versions show up in the left bar of Universal. Our current project has a larger number of Inactive project versions, so the list gets very long.
I have nothing against drags, but drag rows are not my thing. Is it already possible to disable this on a per-user basis in the runtime configuration, or UP? If so, I must have overlooked it in the documentation. Otherwise I would applaud exposing this feature in an upcoming SF release! -edit- For me it would suffice to be able to disable the behaviour of default drag/drop; just tick it in the context menu in the same way as I have to do for ‘editable grid' to enable it.
Anyone knows why you cannot return messages to the GUI panel using a cursor? I have a procedure that processes stock counts, and when there is an issue these are determined and returned as messages to the GUI panel using a cursor. The problem is I see the warnings in the debug screen but not the actual panel in de the GUI. Bug?

To relax restrictions on a variant as compared to the subject, I want to replace the occurrences of the subject by a new variant ‘default’ relax restrictions on the subject create the new variant 'unconfirmed_order_line’ (as an example) What is the preferred method of screening my model for occurrences of the current base subject, to replace links where it is targeted with the new ‘default’ variant? The problem I face is that references at data model level do not allow me to define user interface properties such as detail variant, and user interface screens only expose links to details, not to parents. Targeted searches using menus/reachable objects only allow shortest path, not all paths to a subject (and in my case, find the path via the default menu, not even the main detail occurrence because that takes another node and is not the shortest path. Is there a lazy way to reach my goal
Hi, I have a table with several fields. One of them being a number that is sometimes generated, sometimes entered manually. So next to this field I would like to have a button (with some code behind it..) that says ‘generate number’. However, I can’t find it or am looking in the wrong direction. Things tried; made a combo-field. When selected manual; it does nothing. When selected ‘generate’ it generates the number. (works OK-ish, but wrong design) Made a Task with a button, but this appears in the top left corner (next to Print icon). Will probably work, but wrong location Anyone can point me in the right direction on this? Much appreciated! Alex
I want to show a text field with 4 or 5 lines high, but without the Magnifier next to it. There is no relation on this field. Where can I turn this off? Or, how can I make a text field larger without using the domain control type 'Multiline’ Much appreciated! Alex

We have the situation that in a form you can choose a subselection of accounts. An account can belong to multiple groups like shipper, transporter, agent In the form we have a column with a lookup table variant, so that we only have a slection of accounts belonging to for example shipper group. Everything works ok. Now if we go to the selection detail form (clicking the magnifier glass) it will be easier for the person who are filling in the form to add a new shipper from there. However after adding the account, the account is not visible in the form anymore, because there is no connection with the account group 'shipper' Is it possible to detect which table variant you are using so that after inserting the new account, also a new entry is inserted in the table account group?
In the thinkwise roadmap of 2019 i red that it is planned to encrypt en decrypt sensitive data with Indicium. Below is the text what i mean. We want to use this functionality to store passwords for an ftp server. Also we want te use the password in .Net. Does anyone known if this is already possible? An how it works. For busines processes this is called ‘Discussion’, for requirements this is called ‘Comment’. To my opinion, the function is the same. Can you explain the reason for using different terms?
