How can we limit the languages that can be chosen by our users in the language selection dropdown? It shows languages that we have not defined in our model.

Hello. When i edit a form, and look at the database event log, i see my cursor_from_col_id immediately filled out, and the cursor_to_col_id is never filled out, not even when i change fields. Is this a (known) bug or can i influence this in some way through the Software Factory? We're using Universal GUI 2024.1.10.0.0.

Hi there, I am wondering where I can find / download the Thinkwise Extractor.I am currently attempting to upcycle a legacy application to see how much time we can win by using the upcycler. The application had a MariaDB database, which i converted to a Microsoft SQL Server database. From there, I want to use the Upcycler, According to the docs (https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/upcycler#extract-the-metadata-from-your-legacy-application), the first step is to “Extract the metadata from your legacy application”. I am investigating if I can use the Thinkwise Extractor for this. I read that it is a command line tool, but I cannot find it in our Thinkwise installation or TCP. Hi, I'm fresh, sorry for any mistakes.Usecase: Users want to column sort respective tables on date, this doesnt work as we intended. (Screenshot below post)What doesnt work? Datenotation(timezone) in the date domain (widely used) is set to local (Netherlands) but the grid still shows a MM/DD/YYYY Notation. Sorting doesnt seem to work as intended. It drops a random 2022 row between a 2023 rows. What have I tried?Tried to set the datenotation(timezone) to ‘Show as stored’ and back to ‘Local’. Tried looking for hidden sorts on the grid, there isnt any. Checked if the date is stored as something different than a date (like string, int, etc)When is my problem solved?The moment sorting works again as intended, even better would be a small explanation why it does(n't) work. Issue:Person X's username is the same as their email address, which is "abc@de.nl." However, there is another account associated with the same email address, "abc@de.nl."It seems that with the latest version of Indicium, Person X is unable to log in to the account using the username "abc@de.nl." Strangely, even though about half of these records are marked as hidden in the data model and subject, I've noticed that they still appear in the select statement when I'm using the debugger.I'm concerned that this unexpected behavior might impact the performance of my application. Hi I have a task in my application that takes a long time to complete and times out in the universal GUI. Since it was part of a process flow I assumed it had to wait for the task to finish to send the user to the result of the task. Now we have decided to turn it into a background task that does not send the user anywhere and is not contained in a process flow. We switched the setting await result to “no” but it seems the universal GUI does not pick up this setting since it still opens the loading window and times out after some time. Setting in SFTask is pendingNow the only thing I can still think of is that it is a task as a menu item could that be blocking the await result option? Or does await result not work in Universal GUI if so are there any workaround i can use?
We are using OpenID connect with User provisioning enabled. When a new (previously unknown) user logs on with OpenID Connect, a user record is created and based on the template, automatically assigned to a guest group. This guest group has a startup object with a task that initiates a registration process. The user has to add some additional information and submit this information to be validated by a backoffice system. The backoffice system validates and if valid, removes the user from the quest group and assigns the user to a member group. The user can now logon and gets the menu and functionality of a member.What happens however is that the provisioning functionality not only assigns the defined user group on creation of a new user, but also on any subsequent log on. So the guest group, while deleted through the API, is assigned again and with that the registration flow is started as well.My question: is there a way to have a process started only once based on provisioning? Hi, We generate some XML files for a financial interface. These XML files are generated by a Scheduled Process flow. On a daily basis this averages on about 40 files. These files are saved in a Azure File storage. However, our client has a shared disk in the company network, where a File Handler is scanning a set folder. When a XML is in this folder, it is uploaded to the Financial Interface, Currently, the end user has to download these XML files manually, and place them in the shared drive.We want to automate this process, so that the end-user has no longer to this. These files cannot be zipped, but must be 40 separate files written to this shared drive. What would be the best way to achieve this? Any advice in the right direction is very welcome. It seems that the Software Factory doesn't handle deleted objects well in branches that are kept open after merging (tested in SF 2023.1). This is demonstrated with the following scenario:Create branch DEVELOP (from MAIN) Add column X in branch DEVELOP Merge DEVELOP back to MAIN and keep the branch open Delete column X in branch DEVELOP Merge DEVELOP back to MAINThe result in the MAIN with this scenario is that column X still exists in the MAIN after step 5. We assume at step 5 the SF makes a delta from the starting point of the branch with the current state of the MAIN and the current state of the branch and determines that column X was added in the MAIN after creating the branch. However, this is not the result that we want/expect (Column X should not exist in the MAIN after step 5).When the scenario is changed to:Create branch DEVELOP (from MAIN) Add column X in branch DEVELOP Merge DEVELOP back to MAIN (make the branch inactive) Create branch DEVELOP_2 from MAIN Delete column X in
Hi,We have created a lot or Roles. For example, WFP - Task - open Employee.This Roles is needed to fully use the Module WFP. Another client does not use the WFP module, but when creating/defining the user groups, still sees all these Roles. How can I connect Roles to a Module? That if a client not uses (..pays for..) a certain Module, they will never see those Roles. Is this possible, and if so, how?Thanks! Blommetje

We have the information message 'Column with undecided data sensitivity’ at validation for the columns generated by the trace functionality (created,creator,modifier and modified) .The functionality for those columns is implemented in the dynamic model.We set a type of sesitivity and type of anonymazation ,but after doing a new creation the validation message is back and it looks like the changing were not saved . How can I solve this problem ?
Dear community,At Vezet we want to build some user logging functionality. However, we ran into an issue with the order_no's of the templates which handle the atomic transaction. Below is an example:We want to weave functionality between tasks_start and transaction_start. This is impossible because there is no INT value between 1 and 2. We also want to weave functionality(a finally block of some sorts) between 99999 and 100000, this is also impossible. We can edit the control_procedure of sql_tasks to change these order_no's but because it's copied from a base project it resets after a generate. We can change the base project but this causes problems everytime we upgrade to a new version of the Software Factory. What is the best solution for this issue?
hi,I've created a editable cube based on a view and by configuring the extender to make it an editable cube.Now I'd like to mark a certain selection of data-fields as read-only.Usually this is possible by creating a layout procedure, so this is what I did for the view where the cube is based on.But for some reason the view is working is expected, but for the cube all fields stay editable.Does someone maybe know if the layout-logic will also be executed when running a cube ?SF version is 2021.3.Thanks.best regards,Cyril
Currently Universal seems to preview only the first preview-able column in the table (the PDF in the screenshot below) and just shows this column twice. There is a second column (right under this pdf column) that holds an URL that should be previewed as well. Current behaviour of the preview component in UniversalWhy does Universal show the same column twice and not look for a second preview-able column in a table? Is there a way to preview both an URL and a PDF?
