Hello, I want to inform my users of my Thinkwise application there will be downtime because of maintenance. We are using the Windows GUI in combination with Indicium. In what way can i inform my customers? Eric

Hi, I’ve read in the manual somewhere it must be possible to only use the  on/off status for a checkbox. However, I don’t see how.  I’ve tried setting the domain as a bit, set just 2 elements, but it keeps returning the ‘indeterminate’  option (squared box).  Anyone can tell me how to set this? Thanks!  

In Universal a tab variant is shown, and a variant of a detail is reachable. The variant detail is displayed by Universal as the screen type on the default table, not as configured on the tab variant. Is this supposed to work in 2019.2 ?

From our web server we would like to send an email with ReportMailer from our own domain jpbm.nl. But if the receiver replies on this email, the reply should be send to another emailaddress. Is this possible?! If not, can this be added as a new feature?

Crystal Reports asks for user credentials after update of platform and server migration. Why? How to solve?   There is no logging in the debugger. This is the situation: all on windows, no web/mobile start with platform 2018.1 on server A, named DB01 copy all to server B, named DB02 upgrade platform on server B to 2020.1 rename server A to DB_decomissioned rename server B to DB01 Included in the platform upgrade is the switch to another Crystal Clear runtime. After performing all steps the application is running fine. Reports though come up with a login screen where it used not necessary to login. Tried login combinations, at least: user account, integrated security / domain logon user account, password administrator account, integrated security / domain logon administrator account, password Neither user has trouble accessing the application or querying the underlying data used in the reports via the SQLManagement studio. Hi Everyone, In the windows application i can filter on the values (A&A Supply, Agent etc) from company name. In the web this is not possible. How can we set this filter function on in the web?   Thanks.   Regards Ronald      

What is the purpose of the parameter cursor_to_col_id? I tried to move the cursor to a specific next field after moving another field.  Just adding a statement like below, does not make any difference. SET @cursor_to_col_id = 'document_number' Could anybody give an example or explanation on how to do this?   

We're currently using the Web GUI and the (DocUltimate) previewer component. What we do is showing a preview of a subject. This preview is a SVG-document, which the previewer component converts to a PDF file, and previews. We use this especially because of the zoom functionality. We've received some feedback of our end users that the previewer is too slow. What they do is they open a record, check the preview and continue on to the next one (it's a grid + a preview). Caching is useless in this process, as it's most likely the document will be opened only once. Now the problem is that I somehow want to increase the performance, or better said, the user experience. Currently it's not loaded 'with a blink of the eye'. Causes of this can be: - Not enough resources on the server - The convertion from SVG to PDF that DocUltimate has to do - The contents of the SVG These cases we've tested and try to influence. I would like to use a conditional format with flexible values in a cube. The numbers must shown in red if the amount is lower then the year before. I only can find conditional formatting with a fixed value. Is this possible?         

When I'm writing a unit test, it's possible to add an assertion query. I do this for tasks to verify if the task input is converted into the correct tables. But I'm still writing code. And that should be verified by another developer I think. The ‘code review’ section is only applicable for control procedures, not for assertion queries. How do you deal with this? How do I let my collegue know he has to verify that assertion query to? Currently I have to inform him by e-mail or so, what's actually changed, in stead he could take a look himself to see the difference (like a git pull request). Maybe what I actually want is having a before data set and an after data set. But that is just an idea (to have as less code as possible, all ‘queries’ should be removed). Or maybe a complete diff what's changed.

I want to have a form that I can open from my menu directly. To do this, I've created a variant, linked it to a screentype with only a form, and added it to my menu. This went well. I've also deleted some of the buttons at the bottom to leave only the Add and Refresh button. I've also checked 'Start empty with filter’. I'm almost where I want to be. The user must still push the + button to activate the form. I want the form to be active by default so the user can start typing right away. How can this be done? Many thanks in advance!

If we use an hyperlink in a textblock the font is set to 12 points automatically. The font-size property is added ‘for free’. We’ve created a trigger to auto replace the font-size to 10 points, but sometimes when we edit an html field the font-size is deleted, so there is nothing to replace anymore.  And when you edit it again we’re getting back the 12 points. Does anyone recognize this behaviour? And what can I do about it to get the hyperlinks standard in 10 points?    

In the past our Thinkwise application was mostly implemented with a Windows GUI. One of the menu items was “Online support”. This started a TeamViewer client (Quick Support). This was done with a task of type “Windows command”. In Object name the full path to the executable was specified. Now we want to offer our software as a service (SaaS). Because executing a program with Windows command does not work on the web, I would like to activate https://get.teamviewer.com/jpdsonlinesupport. What is the best way to do this? While there are still users of the Windows GUI as well, is there a way to determine in a task whether to start the executable (Windows GUI) or the URL (web GUI)? Advise is appreciated.

I often have this message in the Web GUI when logging in again using this screen (for example when the browser tab is closed and opened again):   What is it, and why is it shown? It says the application is not available, but I do not agree on that, because when I click OK the application does seems to work?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to send a push notification to a mobile user.  F.e. to notice an employee that there is a change in his planning. I’m not talking about a badge in the app but about a notification in the message center of a mobile phone.     

Dear Universal Team,   As I was reading the Universal Update of March 2020, I was wondering if there was any shortcut for clearing the cache. I read that the functionality for that should for now go through:                                     log-in screen→ clear cache → log-in with cleared cache.   When I'm developing i mostly use CTRL + ALT + F5 for clearing my cache when I'm already logged in and want to reload the files. I am trying to configure the login page for the webgui to my likings. I have noticed the following behaviour: After changing the setting.ini to: Application_title       = Binatic Software b.v. www.binatic.nl Application_login_logo  = \\*******\logo_binatic.jpg Browsericon             = \\*******\favicon.ico ShowLoginInfo                 = No   and recycling the application pool I have the following, desired, result:   After logging in, logging out and then using SHIFT-F5 in the browser to clear cache, I get:     The title is the same title I use within the IAM. I cannot get the right logo/title back unless I recycle the application pool again.   Is this the intended behaviour?

Hi,  i have 2 tables as shown in the picture below:   when i try to set up a look-up in Subjects on item_cast columns, it works only for item_type_cast, the final output is shown in the picture below: when i press the “search” icon, i see no entries in warehouse_items_table.  Main problem is: i don’t know how to build a look-up with a reference to 2 primary keys.

  On this screen you see the details of the selected shipment in the list, on the tab page next to it (Edit/add). When you select another row, you see the details from that shipment. What if we want to have a new tab with the details of another shipment next to the shipment that is already selected? So we would like to see the details of more than one row at the same time. 

We have the requirement that a user should be able to  write a flat csv file to a fileshare. This file is created in a task-script. Because of security reasons the xp_cmdshell is turned off for ‘normal’ users. We can’t turn this on from a sql script with the command EXEC sp_configure 'xp_cmdshell', 1; We had the idea to turn the xp_cmdshell on just before writing the file to the file share and directly after the file has been written we turn the xp_cmdshell off again. The file is a csv file used for import in a financial system.  What should be an alternative without giving anyone the xp_cmdshell rights in de SQL DB?  

When executing a some tasks I get the message “CLEAR PANEL”. What is causing this message? After clearing the message with “Informatiepaneel wissen” the panel is cleared and disappears. But the space that was used by the “Informatiepaneel” is not freed. So it is a lot of unused space. Is this a bug? I am using the web GUI version 2019.2.17.0.

Is there a way to suppress the application title on the webgui login page? I would like to use a logo only, but when I enter no value in the parameter ApplicationTitle it uses the default Thinkwise’'. I have tried the values No and None but they do not work.

Does anyone know why this tree structure shows up in a list. Which setting causes this behaviour? I don’t manage to get rid of it. I want to show the “opdracht” field the “deel” field and the “dagnummer” in a normal list and not some of a tree structure. It’s good to know that this behaviour shows up in our mobile menu started from the windows GUI. But in the mobile GUI the “dagnummer” shows up before the “Deel”.    

Are there options to control the excel import function per subject? What i would like to do is by default set the following options for 1 subject: tickbox for: import use clipboard (ticked) tickbox for: column names are translations (ticked)    

We have created a new screentype. At design the Available for user preferences is checked.   When we log in in the web version and open a previous designed screentype we have options to change it to other screen types   As you can see the new Screentype FF_detail_tiles is unavailable to choose. Also another problem is that when we set a specific table as default to the new screentype, another screentype can not be chosen       Is there somewhere an option that I overlooked, so that the new screentype is available to choose and when table is opened with the new screentype other screentypes can be chosen? At the moment we use verion 2019.02
