I managed to put a customers signature on the shippingdocument by using the “ add picture” and its location setting in Crystal Report. However, because the signature (collected on a tablet with the Universal GUI) is a transparent .png, it shows like this in the PDF: When I edit the .png to a pink background, it shows like this: Is there a way to solve this by getting a non-transparant signature from the U GUI ?
Hi, I'm toying with the following. I have an Indicium and Universal GUI. In this universal I open a View, that displays another website. This website is also mine, connects with the same data database, but shows some things that cannot be done in Universal. I have created a URL showsomething.companyname.com and open this in a view (iframe like). This works fine. BUT I do not want this data to be visible by anyone browsing the web. So, I (have) a login on this. Now the end user must login in the Universal gui, and again in the 'iframe’. This is not super user friendly and I think that we must be able to pass the user login cookie to this site as well. If the user is logged in Universal, it shows data. If you browse the site outside of Universal; Access Denied. I have read this topic but we can't get it working. Do we need to place the 'iframe’ in a subfolder in Indicium? Or next to it? It would be very nice if this is possible. Any help in the right direction is very welcome! Thanks!Blo
Hi all,This is essentially a follow up question to this topic SSRS Server Report | Thinkwise Community (thinkwisesoftware.com). Currently my main goal is to deploy variants of a report. In SF when adding a ‘SSRS (server)’ report you must enter a path. But I have a reporting server that has multiple directories for different clients and these dirs contain variants of the same report. I.e.: different logos in the variants for each client. Now I want to find a way to update the path to these reports when deploying. I did see a report table in the IAM database where I can possibly update the path, but is this recommended? Can anyone suggest other solutions? Thanks!
I have a processflow that does some logging and calling an api when certain tasks are executed. This works fine except for one task. This task also calls another processflow and therefor never calls my api processflow…My first idea was “can I call a processflow from another processflow?”, well it seems I can do that with a subflow…But a subflow cannot call a task (I use a task to collect data before logging and calling the api).I can add the logic also to the processflow that is being executed but I rather keep everything in a single location ;)Any suggestions?
If the user doesn't login within 4 minutes on the login screen, the redirect is lost and the user gets the “Indicium is running”-page. We have received multiple emails from confused users because the 'Indicium is running' page does not provide any further instructions on how to proceed. Reproduction steps: From any app, go to the login-page (This is a request with a redirect URL) Stay on the page for longer than 4 minutes Fill in the correct credentialsExpected flow: User is redirected to the redirect url that is provided with the initial requestCurrent flow: User is redirected to the root URL of the indicium and sees a page with “Indicium is running” Additional technical information:The cookie: “CookieTempDataProvider” has an expiration date of 4 minutes in the future. After that the cookie is lost and this is needed for the redirect URL. Possible related issues:
Hi all,I have the following problem. Can anyone think along with me, and push me in the right direction? We have an app deployed that is on premise at the customer. Latest version of both gui and IAM. Everything works fine on my pc, and uat environment, but the customer environment throws this 405 error. See here: Errors and Unknown error popupsAny advice on this? I would like to advice the customer on what to change here; Thanks! Blommetje(title is weird - had issues with the forbidden keywords. Found out they we in the screenshot through Teams - but can’t change it! Should be of course ‘on-premise’)
Hi all, One of our users triggers an ‘insufficient memory’-error on a regular basis (approx. 1x per week/ 2 weeks). The same error now and then appears among his collegues, but not quite as often (3 times in the past 12 months). We have checked the available memory, which should be more than enough. I have tried to reproduce the error by trying to overload the server-memory, but I was not able to reproduce the error.Does anybody know where this message is coming from? We work with Remote Desktop Services, the hardware is up to date. TW platform = 2019.1; SQL2014; GUI Windows Desktop 2020.2.17.
I have a list with a status and status icon. When I have a task that updates the status, de icon changes also. However the text updates, but the icon doesn't update, only when I navigate away from that screen-element, go to another document for example and return to the initial list the icon has visually changed.. Would this be some kind of caching issue?
Hi communityIn the past, when we used the WebGUI, we used the IAM Action Analysis. After switching to the Universal GUI we can't get any data from the Action Analysis in the IAM. For us, as a ISV, it is valuable for us to know how our application is used by our customers and users.Perhaps I'm missing something (a configuration option for instance) so any help would be appreciated.
We have two validations in our model which are not completely clear to us:- Reference columns do not correspond with the key of the source table with a lookup- Reference columns do not correspond with the key of the source table with a detail The first one seems to check for references with check_ref <> 1 and show_look_up = 1 and the count of reference columns is unequal to the count of primary key columns from the source table. We make sure our check_ref = 1 references matches with the primary key columns. But we specifically use the ‘GUI’ references (check_ref = 0) to fill additional info when going into a detail tab.I.e.: The reference below will also fill the column domain (which is not a PK) but is needed for a task to upload documents when the detail screen is still empty. Why does this validation only check for non-integrity references? What is the purpose of this validation? Could something go wrong? Are there better alternatives to accomplish what we want?
Hi,I have an uat environment for a client with a lot of basic data in it. Now we want to export some of this data to the clients uat environment. When I export this table ‘Function’ to an .xls I get 50 something rows. 9 columns. All as expected. The table is pk lookup to company_table (ID) text text status (ACT) (varchar) Checkbox mandatory 1 or 0 price (numeric) Lookup to Tariff group (ID) Internal or External (varchar) Checkbox mandatory 1 or 0 When I export the excel and import it, all rows fail. After some toying I found that removing the first row from the xls with the column names resolves a bit. The rows are imported, but only the columns are set. However, the company lookup is not set. The company name exists, so it should lookup I assume. Also, setting the ID from the company_table as a value does not work. But also the checkboxes are not processed correct. The .xls says ‘True’ , but the import sets 0. When I change the value in a 1, it also does not work. Same for the ot
How to prevent "Request error. The object was not found. You may have insufficient rights or the object no longer exisits."
We’ve got a table task that enables our users to delete certain records from a grid. This task is triggered by a double click on the record. The user can then select a task parameter that deletes the record that was used to trigger the task. We then refresh the subject. The user then get’s the following pop-up: Although the message pop-up is not strange, since the selected record was deleted. It’s confusing for our users since the wording is strange and the behaviour was intended. What can we do to prevent this message from triggering?
We are trying to make the Merge PDF process action work using Azure file storage. To directly save the combined file in azure (or download file). However we get the following error in de Indicium logs:Removing the file extension (.pdf) from the names seemed to have removed this error but doesn’t result in a saved file in Azure or a working Download File process action. For testing purposes I’ve set-up the following process flow:Control: File Upload, Storage location: Azure FilesI’ve found the following 2 sources in information on how to use this:https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows_actions#merge-pdf If anybody could help out that would be great!
It seems that the Software Factory doesn't handle deleted objects well in branches that are kept open after merging (tested in SF 2023.1). This is demonstrated with the following scenario:Create branch DEVELOP (from MAIN) Add column X in branch DEVELOP Merge DEVELOP back to MAIN and keep the branch open Delete column X in branch DEVELOP Merge DEVELOP back to MAINThe result in the MAIN with this scenario is that column X still exists in the MAIN after step 5. We assume at step 5 the SF makes a delta from the starting point of the branch with the current state of the MAIN and the current state of the branch and determines that column X was added in the MAIN after creating the branch. However, this is not the result that we want/expect (Column X should not exist in the MAIN after step 5).When the scenario is changed to:Create branch DEVELOP (from MAIN) Add column X in branch DEVELOP Merge DEVELOP back to MAIN (make the branch inactive) Create branch DEVELOP_2 from MAIN Delete column X in
The ‘in combined filter’ is automatically set to 0 when the domain of that column is changed. Is this by design? It is very annoying since this change is most of the time unnoticed and end-user notice that the combined filter doesn’t work correctly anymore.
Hi.With the release of U-GUI 2023.1.18 it was noted that the next release would have drag and drop in a different context. Drag and drop - Drag records from the grid and drop them in a different context. This will not yet allow a drop on a specific record. Was this release the last UGUI release? 2023.2.10 ? There it says that the next sprint you would start working on drag and drop on a specific record.. In short, I have been trying, but cannot get drag-and-drop to work in the U-GUI.
Hi, I would like to show a (popup)message when users start the mobile app of our application. Preferably begin the login screen. Any ideas?I know I can start a proces when for example a table opens but I want to do that before that. I don't see an event (like default/layout) when a menu starts or when the app starts.Any ideas are welcome.Thanx for your answers!
Hi,Is this also possible in the web gui? It works well in Universal, but some users type kinda slow and when looking at paper and typing into the app.. the search already begins.. they have to wait a bit. When typing fast, it's not a problem. However, not everyone is fast. https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/deployment/universal#delayed-searchThanks! Blommetje
Hi, For an API POC, I have made a function that returns nested JSON message (using .. for JSON auto .. option) in an NVARCHAR(MAX) datatype. In SSMS, I get a proper formatted JSON message. But when it is exposed via the default indicium ODATA API, the result gets altered to an escaped JSON string. ([x] API, [x] Indicium Basic API)How can I prevent the result being escaped?
