Refresh document on tab change?

Is is possible to refresh a document when switching between tabs (in the web gui)?For example when switching from Functionality to Domains, Domains should be refreshed (when not in edit mode).

How to authorize column based?

How can I authorize a role column based? In the Software Factory you assign rights on a table.Read rights on the table "employee”  In the column rights you can set or the fields are visible in the GUI. This doesn't change the user right to consult the data from the column directly on the database. Column employee_status acces type "Hidden”  The user still can run the query in the SQL database and select for example the colum employee_status. The permission should be denied for executing this action. Select statement in SSMS

Mass Update for Web is here!

A popular request, the Mass Update feature, has been implemented in the latest release of the Web user interface.You might already be familiar with the Mass Update feature in the Windows interface, found in the Extra section of the ribbon which allows you to update values of one or more columns in multiple rows of a table at once. This feature is now also available in the Web interface.Update in the Ribbon’s Extra sectionThe setting for enabling or disabling permissions to Mass Update in the Software Factory remains the same and is found in the Subjects screen where it is enabled by default, as shown below. In the Software Factory : Subjects > Permissions > Other > Mass UpdateThis checkbox can be toggled on or off to enable or disable the Mass Update button respectively. Remember to synchronize to IAM and the changes will then be reflected in your end application interface on Web.The result of unchecking the Mass Update setting, as is the case in the Windows interface, is that

Two-factor authentication for Universal

If I look at the ‘feature matrix’ in TCP, the TOTP-authentication in not available for Universal.I think Universal will first replace mobile and web. When could we expect this feature?

Open a popup screen over the resource scheduler

Hi all,Been fighting the resource scheduler now for a few days on the Web gui. Not all going as smooth as I hoped it to be.  Current issue is: I have a resource scheduler that displays a few rows. I want to create a Task button that opens another table as a popup.Is this possible on web from the resource scheduler? I can’t get it running…  Alternative: I could try a workaround with a popup screen type, but same same, I can’t get this running in the resource scheduler.  Any thoughts on this?  Thnx! Alex

Table task show and process flow

I have a table task that is part of an process flow. This task must be hidden because only the process flow must be able to execute this task. When i uncheck the ‘Show task’ setting for the table task the process flow stops working.Is there a good reason why this behaves like this?

Multi column lookup

For example, consider a table purchase_order with a lookup to an address table.The link is made to the PK field of the address table.In the purchase order screen, I want to be able to show fields of the address as separate fields.I know it is possible to work with expression fields, but multiple lookup queries to the same table is not desirable.Concatenate address fields is also not what I want. I really want to be able to display the address fields as separate (read-only) fields in the purchase order table.Ideally, the main table 'purchase_order' will get t1 as an alias and the address table t2 as an alias, etc ..Is there a trick to get this done yet?

Show Sharepoint page with Document Previewer

Does anyone have experience with displaying external websites within a Thinkwise application (WebGUI), using the document previewer?I am trying to display a sharepoint page in this way within the application, but so far without no success. It looks like a cross domain problem.I wonder whether the solution should be found in Thinkwise or is it a setting in Sharepoint?

Maintaining the SF DB

So I’m wondering what do you do to get a grip on the SF DB - would love to hear from you what nifty little secrets you do to keep things running smoothly and in tune…The current size of our SF DB is going to pass 100GB anytime soon.What is your size of the SF DB, and how do you maintain it?Do you keep letting it grow or do you drop stuff like branches or projects into an archive or something else maybe to keep the db from growing (too fast)How many branches and projects do you keep track of in the SF DB and do you just delete them when it has reached a certain age or?Do you have import/exports scripts for items ( i.e. projects or branches) that you’d like to share? Do you (re-)import the exports before doing an upgrade and then export it all again and drop the ‘archive overhead’ to make sure you can always ‘reload’ a situation as it was before?How often do you run your statistics? is it possible to Toggle prefilters in layout of ctx proc

Hey all,I have a view with 3 prefilters. Is it possible to create a layout proc or ctx proc to toggle the filters on/off?  [1][2][3]If prefilter [1] is active, I want [2] and [3] to be hidden. I do this with ctx procs for print buttons and tasks, but for prefilters I can't get it running. Overlooking something or is this not possible?  Thanks!

Process flow in mobile viewer

Are process flows executed in mobile? I've created a simple proces flow that would help mobile users a lot when filling in a checklist… After update progress to the next row… That's all.But it seams the processflow isn't callled at all (in the mobile viewer; I'm still in the test fase).Am I missing something here or are process flows not executed in mobile?

Validation: The cardinality of the look-up is invalid

Hi,I’ve got a question about a validation message.Since the upgrade to version 2020.1 a validation message appeared which I don’t know how to interpret or solve. The validation says: ‘The cardinality of the look-up is invalid’ It has to do with the appearance of new columns in the look-up chain. I have a table called object_part_service_task, which I want to limit to entries within the table object_component_service_task, so I created a look-up with the key containing system_company_id, object_component_id and service_task_id. The column service_task_id is the look-up column. The table object_component_service_task is limited to entries within the table object_class_service_task and has a look-up relationship with the key: system_company_id, object_type_id, object_class_group_id, object_class_id and service_task_id. This last table has a relationship with the table service_task, which is the table that contains all the service_tasks’ The relationship here is with system_company_id and

How can I achieve that a look-up or double click on value in Grid opens a zoom window (or new tab)

Is there a way to assign a zoom window to a double click on a field in a grid?  I have a list of orders and invoices, and I would like to have a zoom window or new tab opened when they double-click on the invoice-number for example. To see the invoice, details and costs.  As an alternative to a list of detail-tabs.

Startobject in IAM user preferences

In IAM it is possible to configure a task to be executed when starting the application. I've tested this and it works fine. It is mandatory to also enter a name for the Startobject, but whatever is entered here, it's all excepted… But I’m thinking of a way to not always execute the task, depending on circumstances or other settings.. A way to get this done might be creating a processflow instead of a task to get this done… This is also an option in the combobox, but I'm not able to select a processflow here… So, what is the use of selecting Proces here if it is not a procesflow in the application?? Or is Proces something else than a processflow in this case?

Push via Indicium

Is it somehow possible to receive a ‘push’ message via Indicium? E.g. when there's a new file available that a client could download.For example when having a (C#) Windows Service that gets notified when there's new data available which he can download and process further, instead of continuously pulling for new data.

Report empty after upgrade to SF 2020.2

I’ve just upgraded to SF 2020.2 and noticed I cannot download / edit the reports:If I click the button (in red) and save the file, it results in a empty file. I did use the task ‘Upload images and reports to database’ according to the manual.I’ve checked the table ‘report’. The column ‘file_spec_data’ does contain some binary data I see, but when downloading it remains empty. How can I edit DevExpress reports?

"Loop" in last line

When pressing enter while adding/editting data in a list, you will automatically go to the next editable field.  However, when pressing enter while editing the last record in the list, you will go to the next editable field in the last line. Our user thinks that is confusing behaviour. The user thinks he is making a mistake and his changes aren't saved.Is there an alternative for this?

Deployment generation automation

One of our strategic goals is to completing the DEVOPS spirit of working @Acto in an Agile way of thinking. This means that most of the complete development cycle has to be automated DevOps software lifecycle management @ActoCurrently one of our projects is working on automating and speeding up the biggest part of the generation of the deploy package, one could say that these are the steps between Build and Test, which currently takes about 3 to 6 hours for each cycle (without testing, just generating). Our goal is to have several cycles a day if not many more, which of course can only be achieved when (almost) fully automated   We want everything that can be automated to be automated. We want it to run mainly in the background.   It would be helpful if the whole thing could be automated by Thinkwise  – but until then, there are things we can do ourselves, but for certain parts we are unable to automate them in the process of creating a deploy package.   The process consists out

Unnecessary functions in 'paperplane' menu

For Zeeman, a ‘first visit’ functionality is created on the loginpage. This functionality is also available in the paperplane menu (top-left button in the SF, this menu is used to logout or change password). The ‘first visit’ function is unnecessary in that menu, and might confuse users (see screenprints below) I understand that it is impossible to differentiate between the loginpage and paperplane-menu. Can this be made possible? Or is there another way to show this ‘first visit’ function on the loginpage, and not showing it where it is not needed?

Multiple instances of TSF in IAM

Is it possible to maintain multiple instances of the SF application in one IAM environment? I would like to do this in this way, because I want to store the model of various customer applications in separate databases. In this way, customer-specific knowledge stored in the model can be properly secured. It didn't seem to be a problem to do this, but when I opened the IAM environment I found out that only 1 SF application could open a project.   The Project Tab is only visible for Environment B

Inline manual - onboarding users

This topic is kind of a follow up on this topic:https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/development-13/open-a-screen-first-time-and-ignore-it-the-next-time-1251 Because our application is a bit overwhelming the first time you start it, or the first time you’ll use features / subjects in the application, we want to help the user. We’ve found a tool called “Inline manual”. A video about what it does can be seen here: https://inlinemanual.com/product-demo/. In short you can “walkthrough” a user, show tooltips to help the user etcetera. Easily explain some actions step by step what to do. Simple things how the look-ups work, how you can add records etcetera. First time users really need some help, and that could be perfectly done by such tool. This could be an enormous improvement in “User onboarding”. Please note we only use the Web GUI, and are tempting to use the universal GUI as soon as it is feature complete for us. As we’ve tried to see if it’s interesting for us we’ve encountere

Create PDf with a preview

Hi,  Is there any solution for the following problem. I have a lot of fields that need to be edited (addresses, money, etc) and that needs be printed. This works quite well, but the client would love to have a wysiwyg-sort of editor.  So, ideally I want to have my text-fields on the left, and a live pdf preview on the right.   Any chance this can be done? Much appreciated!
