Indicium Universal 2020.1.5 Application startup exception

I'm trying to update the Indicium Universal to 2020.1.5. When I try to run it (server/indicium/iam/iam) I get an http 500 error. The log contains the following error: 2020-03-17T08:43:09.2018147+01:00 [FTL] Application startup exception (6c57a5ba)System.NotSupportedException: Er is een poging gedaan een assembly te laden vanuit een netwerklocatie. 'Clear Cache' function as CTRL + ALT + F5 when logged in

Dear Universal Team,   As I was reading the Universal Update of March 2020, I was wondering if there was any shortcut for clearing the cache. I read that the functionality for that should for now go through:                                     log-in screen→ clear cache → log-in with cleared cache.   When I'm developing i mostly use CTRL + ALT + F5 for clearing my cache when I'm already logged in and want to reload the files. I wonder if this is possible for the Universal GUI? Or is there some other way to do this, when logged in?   Thanks in Advance,   Jimmy Scheer Pre-Sales | ThinkWise

No Application Title

Is there a way to suppress the application title on the webgui login page? I would like to use a logo only, but when I enter no value in the parameter ApplicationTitle it uses the default Thinkwise’'. I have tried the values No and None but they do not work.

Text font in html fields

If we use an hyperlink in a textblock the font is set to 12 points automatically. The font-size property is added ‘for free’. We’ve created a trigger to auto replace the font-size to 10 points, but sometimes when we edit an html field the font-size is deleted, so there is nothing to replace anymore.  And when you edit it again we’re getting back the 12 points. Does anyone recognize this behaviour? And what can I do about it to get the hyperlinks standard in 10 points?

Send push message to App

Does anyone know if it’s possible to send a push notification to a mobile user.  F.e. to notice an employee that there is a change in his planning. I’m not talking about a badge in the app but about a notification in the message center of a mobile phone.

Logo on login-page webgui

I am trying to configure the login page for the webgui to my likings. I have noticed the following behaviour: After changing the setting.ini to: Application_title       = Binatic Software b.v. www.binatic.nl Application_login_logo  = \\*******\logo_binatic.jpg Browsericon             = \\*******\favicon.ico ShowLoginInfo                 = No   and recycling the application pool I have the following, desired, result:   After logging in, logging out and then using SHIFT-F5 in the browser to clear cache, I get:     The title is the same title I use within the IAM. I cannot get the right logo/title back unless I recycle the application pool again.   Is this the intended behaviour?

How to deal with assertion queries and code reviews?

When I'm writing a unit test, it's possible to add an assertion query. I do this for tasks to verify if the task input is converted into the correct tables. But I'm still writing code. And that should be verified by another developer I think. The ‘code review’ section is only applicable for control procedures, not for assertion queries. How do you deal with this? How do I let my collegue know he has to verify that assertion query to? Currently I have to inform him by e-mail or so, what's actually changed, in stead he could take a look himself to see the difference (like a git pull request). Maybe what I actually want is having a before data set and an after data set. But that is just an idea (to have as less code as possible, all ‘queries’ should be removed). Or maybe a complete diff what's changed.

Cube conditional formatting

I would like to use a conditional format with flexible values in a cube. The numbers must shown in red if the amount is lower then the year before. I only can find conditional formatting with a fixed value. Is this possible?

Universal : Screen type on variant detail behind variant tab

In Universal a tab variant is shown, and a variant of a detail is reachable. The variant detail is displayed by Universal as the screen type on the default table, not as configured on the tab variant. Is this supposed to work in 2019.2 ?

When we log in with 2-factor authentication every time we must get the authentication code. Maybe it is an idea to ask ones a month and not everytime we login.

Encryption / Decryption

In the thinkwise roadmap of 2019 i red that it is planned to encrypt en decrypt sensitive data with Indicium. Below is the text what i mean. We want to use this functionality to store passwords for an ftp server. Also we want te use the password in .Net. Does anyone known if this is already possible? An how it works. Multiple task variants on the same table

I have a table with a column value that is boolean (1/0). Due to the lack of a mass update in the web gui I'm trying to work-around with a task that switches the status. I was thinking about creating 1 task with 2 variants: One variant setting the value to 1, and the other variant to 0 (by having a different default value for a parameter). When I try to assign it to Table Tasks, the SF gives me the following error: Why can't I have multiple task variants on the same table?

Performance of loading data sets / data values

When I switch between data sets, or data values in the Software Factory (2020.1.16) I notice this is sometimes very slow (approx. 10 seconds), depending on the amount of columns in the table. The debugger screen doesn't show any heavy query's (all below < 10ms). I do notice a high CPU usage on the SF exe. Is there any way to speed this up?

Right place to generate tooltip

In a resource scheduler (extender) you can display a tooltip on an appointment, see image below (red box). The tooltip is called by the extender from a column with a hard copy of, in my example, all fields of the appoinment. Since this field changes with every change of an appointment, the default does not seem like a good place to me. It seems to me that you want to generate this field once just before you save the data. Does anyone know the right place for this action?

Change label name at runtime

I am relatively new using the Software Factory and I am looking for an option to change label names at runtime, if possible. At a certain point an option is selected. I want to changes certain label names of other input fields in the form depending on the selected option. In the database it will be the same column in the table.

Exception web app logging

Hi, when I open the IAM application trough a web app installation, and want to open Form tab of selected end user application, we receive the message: “An error has occurred in the application.” error in iam When we click the error we get the following “helpful” popup:   helpfull popup  Is there a way to get any information about the exception that occurred? For example a logfile where more details of the error are logged? That way we can get an indication of what is wrong, and possible how to fix this. Kind Regards, Edwin

Manage multiple customers with IAM

I'm wondering if there are any people here having experience with deploying the same application to different companies combined with the usage of the same IAM database. What we're doing is that we deliver the same application to multiple companies. Due to the pricing plan we apply we are in control of the amount of users and what modules (roles) we let them use. I currently don't know exactly how we could set up or use IAM to have one (only 1) system administrator per company that can manage their users, e.g. change permissions, but not adding new users or modules they don't have access to. When taking a look at the Administrator roles (https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/iam/administrators.html) and trying them out, it looks to me that they don't really apply to us. Alternatively, we could build another application on top of IAM dealing with all these issues, but that's really something we don't want to do I guess? Another alternative is to deploy per customer 1 IAM database, but

Process schedule to IAM error

Hello, If you want to create a Process schedule in version 2020.1 and have selected "Once" at frequency type and you want to deploy this schedule to IAM it looks like the sync is crashing. But behind the GUI screen there may be a message that NULL is not allowed in column "occur_every_time_unit" in table IAM.dbo.process_flow_schedule. The reason for this is a difference in metadata between the SF and IAM for this column. In the SF, NULL is allowed. For now I changed properties of the column in IAM.

Start-up of application says New version available.

Since the upgrade to 2020.1.12,  ClickStart is telling me that there is a new version available when I start multiple instances of Thinkwise. Is this normal?

Synchronisation to IAM doesn't create an application

I've created a new version of an application and have synchronised it to the application IAM. I see the latest version in the Project overview, but when I select the newest version the tab Application is empty. Any ideas why?

Problem executing task on Android 2020.1.006

When we try to execute a task on a Android device with Indicium 2020.1.006, the app draws the Execute and Cancel button somewhere in the middle of the input parameters. This does not happen in the Mobile GUI.
