detail tab with view shows display message

hi,We use a view in a detail tab where we combine two tables, a record can be added in the row. We use an instead of trigger to insert the records in het underlying tables. After adding the record, the message “saved data can not be displayed on this screen”, but surprise, the new record is shown! Because of the two tables, two primary keys are added in this view, can this be the problem? Should I create a dummy primary key for this view?Anybody an idea how to fix this?

hi,Can you please standardise the use of folders and files in process action? Relative or absolute path, with or without a backslash, with or without storage location.. Hide add button in row entryClosed

hi,Is it possible to have a layout procedure to hide the add button when adding rows in a grid?The setting for Add row visibility is Always, using the @add_button_type = 2 /* hidden */ is not working.Thanks!

Multi-row one by one processflow executionOpen

hi,It’s possible to start a task for more than 1 selected row in a grid. Please make it also possible to start a processflow for more than 1 selected row.More details here, where the multi row execution seems a fair solution for this. But that is a good solution if you want to do stuff with multiple rows in 1 processflow. I just want 1 processflow handle 1 selected row at the time, but when selecting multiple rows, it should execute the processflow one by one. As a processflow starts with a table task in this case, please add support for this so we can implement it like we can with tasks.Thank you!

Drag and drop with keyboard shortcutsOpen

Hi, based on an old question drag and drop options with keyboard shortcuts:How wonderful it would be if we can enhance the current drag and drop feature, with some configurable parameters? Now you can only link 1 task with the dnd action, but with some extra keys you can link unlimited tasks.Like in Windows when you copy files with CTRL+drag and move with SHIFT+drag or create a shortcut with ALT+dragFor example, we want to use this in an inventory list, when dragging items with CTRL gives a popup with parameters to fill, and normal dragging will skip the popup and use defaults.So until AI already knows what the task should be, and there’s no need of shortcuts, we can use this feature to make the customers happy :-)

Large buttons in Windows GUI

hi,Some of our customers find it difficult to use the small buttons in the Windows GUI. We have some large grids shown on large screens where the users have to look for the relatively tiny buttons in the upper left corner. Is there an option to enlarge the buttons add inline button label something else to make it easier to choose a specific taskOr else providing some prescription glasses with each license :-)

Translations in base project

hi,We created a base project to use specific tables in multiple work projects, and added translations for EN/NE. When I link this base project, the translation objects are copied, but not the specific translation texts.Do I need to start an extra task or something? Can’t find any documentation on this.

Executing procesflows from multiple rows

hi,When I select multiple rows in a grid and execute a templated task, this will be executed once for every selected row. But when I have a table task at the start of a processflow, and start this task with 3 selected rows, the task is only executed once.Is there something I’m missing? I don’t need a multiselectparameter solution, cause the tasks can be executed one by one. I am using the multiselectparameter for another task, can this be interrupting the default handling?

Using subflows in Windows GuiClosed

Hi, please add the subflow functionality to the Windows GUI. As Universal is not an option in the near future for some, it would make the development of reusable ‘blocks’ much easier.And it will make Thinkwise a more sustainable solution with little means, win win 😀

Code editor, show JSON or XML formatted

hi, is there a possibility to view xml or json in a formatted way? so a user can read the data more easily? I saw a code_editor option in the domain control, but this doesn’t do the trick. Editing is not the case here (although if possible it would be appreciated 😊), and it doesn’t have to be complicated with grouping levels etc. just plain a structured layout.

Badge is not visible on view

hi, I’ve seen some topics here where Badges is used on Views, but I cannot seem to get it working:Subject setting to Badges refresh 10 sec Create a control procedure in Code Group Badges and assigned it to the view object Refresh model Other batches on tables run fine.The Batch process is not shown in Debug, so it is not started at all. What can I do to make this work?

Upcycler illegal characters found

hi,I was testing an Upcycler project (2022.2) and had some messages regarding illegal characters: In the details I found 3 column names that seem ok? I looked it up in the contains_illegal_characters function using the names from the generated json and there it wasn’t a problem. Can this be a problem in the generated project?

List folder non-file storage

hi,As an ISV we want our customers to set a folder to import files, this folder can be changed to specific sub-folders, but is always on a server, and Indicium has access to it.With the current (2022.2) List folder, we have to set a storage location but we cannot change this location from the client application. After getting the filenames, we can use the Read File (non-file storage) to read the files and process them further.How can we set a dynamic folder to read these files?

Check the progress of a systemflow

Hi,In a windows gui we cannot have a subflow (some API calls which can take a few seconds) in a manually started processflow, so we have made a systemflow starting this subflow based on a queue table.From the client, we have a task starting a processflow that inserts a record in the queue table, and then system flow will execute. During the execution, I want to disable the task-button and when the systemflow is finished I want to refresh the table so the user sees the new information.In the queue we have a processed bit, so it’s possible the processflow progress. When the processed bit is set, we can finish the processflow. Using waitfor delay seems to freeze the whole application.Is it possible to pause or temporarily loop a processflow, without freezing the app?

Data conversion error during upgrade

hi,We have added a data conversion for a new, mandatory column in a table. The default value is an expression, getting the value from another table “settings”.The problem is, that this table “settings” also has some changes in this update, and the tabel is also rebuild during the update. So at the time the value should be calculated, the table setting is renamed __setting__ and the new table is empty. So no value is found and the update fails.Is it possible to have some sort of sequence in rebuilding the tables? Or how can I solve this issue?

Extra fields and translations for enduser

hi,As an ISV we deploy our solution to different customers, and some customers need extra fields in a table to add information. The fields are not part of other processes, just as an extra bit a information on the form.We created these extra freefields as freefield_01 to 10 and thats working fine. But is it possible to change the translation for these fields, so the enduser can see where the field is for? The translations should be entered in the end solution, and be save during an update of the model.Sounds like dynamic model, but has anyone done this before?

How to display more fields: extend table or move to view or ?

hi,We have a table that needs some (say 10+) extra fields to display in a list, mostly calculated fields, some fields from a related detail (like address, pc and city from the same record).I could make this with calculation type expression and get this data, but is this gonna give performance problems? And I need to query specific tables more than twice (address, pc, city)So another option is to switch the table into a view, and get all the wanted data in a complex view. But there I see far more problems recreating the references to other tables and all tasks referring to data in this table as it is an important source table in the solution.There must be something I overlooked or don’t know about in Thinkwise, how can I solve this properly? Any thoughts?

Fields not moved to second tab

Hi everyone,We have a detail page with a SQLeditor control and some text inputs below.When we make the window smaller, there is no second tab created, only when the space is very small: And in the second tab only the last field is shown. Is this a bug? Or default behaviour when having a large component on a detail?

Passwords visible in Process flow monitor

hi,We use http connectors to get data from 3rd party API’s and we have the account info (username/password) stored in the database, and use this with process variables in the processflow http connector:So now, when a user starts the process flow monitor while executing this task, the password is shown in plain text. The domain of this variable is a password control, so why is this shown? Any idea how to fix this security issue?

Use generated columns in default sort

hi,I added the dynamic model for tracing data, but the extra columns cannot be used for sorting the list: As tracing data is at best when sorting at the updated time, how can I use these columns for default sorting?

disable drag drop in context

Hi,In our application a user can add details to an entity using a task, or using drag n drop. How can I disable the drag n drop when the entity has a specific status? For the task buttons I use a Contexts procedure, but how is this handled for drag n drop? In the context menu there is a Drag rows option to enable/disable, but how can this be automated?Thanks!
