We have a task with a barcode as the last parameter that is scanned using an externally connected barcode scanner:According to the documentation, the task should submitted directly, but that doesn't happen.How do I get this working?
We have a Task with a ‘signature’ parameter, with the functionality that the user can make his sign on a touch screen. We changed the signature parameter field width to 500px, but the popup in Universal doesn't get bigger. It would be nice that Universal listen to this width parameter (like Windows does).
Since TSF 2023.1 we have an Icon Repository, with the following supported file types:A change in the Icon repository is that we have limited the allowed extensions. First, every extension could be used for an icon. Now, it has been limited to .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .bmp, and .svg. This week I had an issue with the Universal GUI that some of my Icons weren’t showing up. The request gave an 403 error but no idea why. It turned out to be that the icons had an ICO-file type. Works perfectly in Windows, but clearly not in Universal.It would be nice if is impossible in the SF to upload Icons with a ‘forbidden’ file type (extension whitelist??) or at least that the Validation will give an error or a warning.
Currently, we have multiple applications that allow users to add/upload photos using the camera. While this is great, we also want the ability to make annotations (add circles, arrows, lines etc.) after taking a picture.The default functionality available on iOS/Android is perfect; however, in the Universal GUI, the only option is to select 'Use this picture.'
In 2023.2 there are a lot new input parameters in the Print File process action. Very nice, but I am still missing a few.For example:Scaling option. In Windows you can choose ‘Fit to page’, ‘Actual size’, ‘Shrink original', or a custom percentage. We want to have these parameters because if we print a PDF with a size larger than A3 (for example a variable paper size), Indicium will only print the part fitting on A3, so you will miss a lot of information. It would be nice if Indicium has options to scale the print size so it will completely fit on the paper. Paper size option. If you have a printer that has both A3 en A4 paper size available, but A4 is configured as standard, Indicium will print the A3 PDF on A4 size. Maybe are there other users that have ideas for more new parameters, we can use this topic to collect them all and vote to get them available in SF :-)
I have a Dev Express report that I directly want to print to a Brother label printer (62x100mm label).In Windows this works perfectly with the Report action ‘Print’. In the Universal GUI this report opens a new tab in the browser with the report as a preview instead of printing.So to create a sort of a workaround I created a process flow with the following actions:Generate report (report with Report action Save to PDF) → Write file → Print file. Process flowThis works if the printer is a normal A4 printer, but on the Brother label printer the printer stops with an error. If I open the PDF that has been created during the flow and I manually print it, it does work. The page settings and margins etc etc in the report are OK.Maybe Indicium does unexpected things during the Print file-action that the printer cannot handle, but that is very hard to debug.Does anyone have a better solution to print a report in the Universal GUI?
All of the tables and views created by the Software Factory are created with the ‘dbo’-schema in SQL.For reporting purposes I also have some views created directly in the database with an other schema, ‘rpt’ for example. I want to maintain these views also in SF, but I can't find (or I do overlook it) where to specify the schema. I see the field ‘View schema’, but that doesn't do anything. (Creation method = Template).Does anyone know how to get this working, or is this currently not possible?
I am the only Thinkwise developer in the company, so when there is a new sub name, I dont want to approve each sub name.Just like the ‘Code review required’ setting it would be nice if there is a same setting for the approvement of sub names:
How can i configure a user in IAM for the use of Web GUI and Universal GUI at the same time?For now we are using Web mostly of the time, so the Authentication is set to IAM. We want to use the Universal GUI for an other application, but for that we have to set the Authentication field to External, with the Identity provider as Microsoft (AAD).But with the Authenticaton set to External we cannot login to the Web GUI anymore, it gives a ‘wrong password’-error. What is the way to go for using both GUIs at the same time?
What is the way to refresh the data model in the Universal GUI?I have an application built for the Windows GUI and now I want to use it in Universal but that needed some changes in the model. I am running the Universal GUI directly to SF.For example; I disabled the Layout input of a column, but Universal keeps giving an error about a missing parameter in the layout procedure.The only way to stop all these errors was to recycle Indicium, but there must be a nicer/easier way.
I am looking for a nice solution to do two things: save a report to PDF and send it to someone. The 'Autonomously generate report and send it by e-mail’-example is great, but as for as I know is that only suitable if you want to send a report to one receiver.I have a table with over 300 persons, and I want to generate a report per person (parameter is per person different), save it and send it to their mail adress.For now I have the following process flow to loop through the list and save the report: With this flow it takes a bit of time to generate and save each report, so the user cannot do anything. Best thing is to move it to Indicium, so the only thing the user has to do is to start the Table task (and that calls Indicium to start the generate report / mail report flow).What is the best way to achieve such a ‘loop through list’-feature in Indicium?
Hi,I've made a process flow where users can assign multiple groups to an article. The flow starts with a task (nr 1) with several task parameters, the output values are bounded to process variables. I want to use these variables later in the flow when task 2 is executed.The flow goes through a list of articles, and in the detail tab the user can assign multiple groups (in the step ‘Grid edit’) to that article, with a checkbox.What I want is that task 2 is executed after the user left the grid edit-mode, but at this moment the task is executed immediately after starting the flow.Is it possible to ‘wait’ until the user left the Grid Edit-mode or how do I achieve this?I'm quite new to process flows, so maybe this isn't logically built at all..

Recently we've upgraded from G9 to 2021.2, and we've noticed a difference when we want to import.In the old situation, the field Project id was automatically filled because the ‘Hang & Sluitwerk'-table is a detail table from Projects. In the import file we don't provide the ‘Project’-field at this moment.When you manually add a new row in the form the Project id field is also filled with the project, 404 in this case.With 2021.2 and the newest GUI this is changed and the column is empty.Did I miss a setting or is this something that has been changed over the last years?Thnx.Patrick
Hi,I have upgraded our environment to 2021.1. This is the first version with (mandatory) Indicium for us.In SQL Server Profiler I see that there is a query running every second that checks if there is a pending system flow: SELECT * FROM i_core_pending_system_flow WHERE date_time BETWEEN @after_date AND @before_date;At this moment we do not use (automatic) system flows, so my question is if it possible to change or disable this ‘every second’-interval?Thnx.Patrick
Hi,I am struggling with my first resource scheduler. For a new project I have created the necessary tables for the Resources and the Tasks/Appointments, as described in the Documentation (Resource Scheduler · Thinkwise Docs (thinkwisesoftware.com).So far so good, I have the tasks visible:But I can’t resize, move or double click the appointment, nothing happens. It look likes the scheduler is in Read only or something.These are my Extender settings, and I have also created a Task in the Model for the Resize-action.Resource settingsTask settingsResize actionResize taskScreentypeWhat have I forgotten or did I do wrong?
