🚀 Platform improvements for week 16hotfix

Hi everyone!We’ve released the following platform improvement this week: IAM 2022.2, 2023.1, 2023.2, 2023.3 20240415 - Corrected effective variant rights Indicium did not always received the correct rights for a variant with a different form layout then its base. This has been corrected. For IAM 2023.2, an additional hotfix came out to resolve an issue: 20240417 - Remove label width and field width from col form function SF 2023.1 20240419 - Correct deletion of delete strategy program object When combining the staged and delete strategies, there was a small chance that program objects were not set stale upon generating definitions which could lead to code being omited from a generated code file. This has been fixed.

How can I show progress in the execution of a multirow task?

I have a multi row task that starts a process flow. This process flow executes HTTP requests for the selected rows. Now I want to show progress (tsf_send_progress), but this progress is not shown in the Windows GUI. When I look in the debug tab I can see the messages are sent.How can I show progress?

Automatic row selection in Universal

Hi,I was wondering if it's possible to disable the ‘auto selection’ of a row in Universal. This in part with auto-edit/save enabled can lead to wrongful data entries by accident without even noticing (fat finger mistakes).In the Windows GUI this behavior already exists. Even if auto-edit is enabled the user has to knowingly click on a row to ‘activate’ it for auto-editing. I've looked into the available extender properties but to no avail. Thanks!

Change the Search Code shortcut to Ctrl+Enter in the SFNext release

For almost all actions in the SF you can use ctrl+enter to execute/save your changes. However for Code Search this currently is Alt+S. This is counterintuitive and could be more user friendly.

Remember last 5 searches in Code SearchNext release

As a developer, I want to be able to quickly switch between my last 5 searches to see the Code search results.This will allow developers to effectively search multiple expressions and inspect the results of these searches quickly. It will also decrease the amount of times a developer would have to Code search once again for the same expressions even though the results would not be any different from the previous search.

Maps data mapping limited to maximum of rows/markers?

We have a (detail) dataset with 65 rows with x-y coordinates, which we like to show on the map.For some reason only 50 items are visible on the map.Is there a maximum number of markers that can be shown on a (detail) map?

Have separate icon for a filter when Active and when Inactive (on/off)On the backlog

Goal is to have a separate icon defined for a filter when Active and a different one for Inactive. We came to a situation where we need to have a filter icon more visible towards when active or inactive. Currently the only separation between the 2 states is the underscore under the icon itself.The idea is to be able to define the icon for Active like and when Inactive likeWe can use icons of opposite state for defining the Active and Inactive state.

Taskbar always present

Hello!We found an issue on all of our projects after the update. The taskbar does not seem to go away in Universal GUI. As seen below, we only have the tiles task as screen components. In the Universal screen, both the tiles and the taskbar are displayed. We are not sure if this is a bug, or f there is any way to fix it.Screen typeUniversal screen

Wrong application id

When uploading documents, an incorrect application ID is being assigned. It's currently set as 53, whereas it should be 5. Does anyone know the cause of this problem?Error in consol log

Importing & using excel data in a single flow

Hi, I am running into a problem when trying to import and use the data of an excel document within a flow. I have made a task that has a file column which is coupled with azure file storage. Uploading the task to azure file storage works fine. However, I want to use the content of the excel in the flow that has been started by this task. The process action that, at least to me, makes the most sense to use would be the read file process action. This is where I ran into my first problem. The input of the source file parameter could be random when a user inserts files with the same name. Additionally, the read file process action does not translate the data from base64 to a string, is this intended behaviour? Or would this not be possible with the read file process action/ any other process action?In short: Is it possible to import an excel file from a task and use the data from the excel file within the same flow? I am looking forward to any ideas that will get this working!

Show User Location on MAP

We are trying to create a screen where the user can get their current location and want to show this directly for verification using the maps component.From here we want to start location-related tasks, such as field inspections, observations, etc.For the test, this view is used SELECT tsf_user = dbo.tsf_user() , device_gps_location = NULL , maps_coords = '{"CoordSets": [[{"Lon":"4.7635140", "Lat":"52.4253230"}]]}' , map_marker = 'BLUE'It looks like below: A marker on the map should move to current location after leaving the GPS Location field.I know how to control the maps component, but I can't get it to work.If possible the current location of the user is shown immediately when the screen is opened and the users allows the application to use the location. Any ideas?

How can I show the element translation of view lookup?

There is a domain with 5 elements and they all have a translation. In a task I am using a parameter with the same domain, but to limit the options in the selection, I have used a view to reduce them to logic choices and the column uses the same domain.When I now use the task, it does indeed limit my choices, but now it does not show the translated values. Clicking open the lookup, you see the options there are translated. How can I make it work that the parameter also uses these? Task showing db value, while the lookup view shows the translation.(Universal GUI 2024.1.12.2 Platform: 2023.3 with hotfixes applied)

Yesterday I updated the Windows GUI from GUI_2023.3.12.0 to GUI_2024.1.12.0Today a user complained that his process flow is no longer sending out an email and issues this error:Any ideas?In the meanwhile I'll try to see if it is reproducable in an earlier version of the GUI.

Persistent default procedure

Hi, I’m encountering issues while editing a specific table form. When I click on any of the checkboxes, it immediately clears the forms. I assume this is related to the default procedure because when I disable the default procedure in subjects, the issue no longer occurs. However, even after re-enabling the default procedure and commenting out all of the code, and then executing the empty default procedure script, the problem persists.Also, this problem only occurs in Universal Gui (2024.1.11.1.0).What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

CSV import and decimal separators

Hi,We have a csv file with semicolon seperated data.When importing this file into our Thinkwise application it interprets e.g. 20.88 as 20.880,00 aka 20880 which is a bit too much 🤐Thinkwise doesn't look at the Windows settings because I can replicate the issue on mu PC except that Excel shows it correctly while on the customer pc Excel also messes it up.On my PC: Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Is there an option that we have missed to force the decimal separator?

prc_prf has too many arguments specified.

Hey all, i’m not sure what this error means, this procesflow work in local development environment in universal but not in the uat universal environment.Indicium.Shared.TSF.FatalDbException (0x80004005): The following query failed with an exception: 'prc_prf_activity_complete_execute_tab_task_activity_question' ---> Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Procedure or function prc_prf_activity_complete_execute_tab_task_activity_question has too many arguments specified. Does someone have a clue?

Review code per template instead of per control procedureMerged

With regards to a previous topic, Code review items per template | Thinkwise Community (thinkwisesoftware.com), I would like to repost this idea.The desire to have a review per template still is present. The comment suggest that it is an improvement to be able to comment the code per template, but that always has been possible with a little bit of effort by simply naming the template before you mention your comments. The real issue is that you are not able to approve or reject a single template, but you always have to reject the whole control procedure. I really would like to see a finer solution to reviewing items in the software factory. In addition to templates we would also like to be able to review expression fields, prefilters and also unit tests.

Is it possible to set the user Configuration on a user group level instead of per-user?https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/iam/users#configure-user-preferences Select a Configuration or create a new configuration using the pop-up. Available configurations are: None - No user preferences are stored and the user preferences ribbon is hidden. Resize - Users can collapse and expand their menu and ribbon. Furthermore, they can change the sort sequence and column width in a grid view. Move - Resize plus the option to configure their own start objects and set the sort sequence of all subjects. OnOff - All options except for changing screen types. Complete - All user preferences options are available to the user. As far as I understand setting this to complete also enables the user to change screen types and save user-defined-prefilters. I couldn’t find an option to set this on a user group.

Maps shows gray on customer location

I am using the Maps component, but when I open the location, the map keeps gray. Sometimes, just before the gray block, less than a second something blue is appearing but then it goes to gray.This functionality does work when I use the application outside of their network it does show the data. However I want to find out where the application is being blocked.How can I best approach this problem?

importing data - unable to import date column

I am trying to import data from an excel-file, using the universal gui. This works, but certain records contain an end_date. These records are rejected by the import-module.I have been checking for constraints, data-type, triggers and handlers, but nothing seems to work. I have another date-column (start_date) and that works fine, so it looks some functionality is blocking the insert. So, my main question is: when importing data, what functionality is applied to the records:triggers? handlers? constraints? defaults? lay / ctx ? anything else?I just want to know where to look for the problem.

Determine whether document is openOn the backlog

I would like to have a way to determine whether a user as a document tab open or not. In some case you would like to close a document tab when the user already has this tab opened.Currently you are not able to determine whether this tab is already open or not. The only way to close the tab when open, is to include a close document process step in your processflow.It is kind of redundant though, that you have to execute this process step (which costs performance) when the user does not have this tab open.

Ability to hide column in UniversalCompleted

We would like some functionality in Universal which makes it possible for a user to hide columns/groups of columns in their view.Are there any plans for implementing such functionality and if not, is this a possibility?
