In EVO, the application that we (Acto) develop with the SF, a multi-tenant solution is implemented. One database can be used by multiple companies and potentially with multiple administrations per company. A user works on one active company and a corresponding administration. This information can be requested by a task. This data is hidden in all screens and automatically filled by default procedures. The import and/or update of records doesn’t take account (not as default) of the company and administration data. As a result: Look-ups within the import and/or update, where the company data is part of the primary key, aren’t shown correctly. Preferred solution: Don’t let the columns in import and/or update be dependent on the grid or form components, but specifically mark them (visible for import) for the import and/or update functionality. Provide default values for columns in the import and/or update functionality. (In this case the company / administration a user is working on)
I would like to: ...be able to mark individual tables and individual columns as deprecated; ...be able to switch the visibility of deprecated tables and columns on and off in the table design view; ...get warnings on using deprecated tables and/or columns during the validation step of the creation proces
When using the Assigning section in Control Procedures, if the user connects a template to a program object, it automatically sets the Layout/Default/Context/Badge checkbox in Subject → Performance to ON. This also applies for Tasks for example.ExampleBut it does not turn it off when all templates are disconnected from the program object. Nor does it turn On when a template is assigned through the use of a SQL Control procedure or Dynamic model procedure. So I would like to see a trigger that will either turn on or turn off the checkboxes in Subject → Performance when a template is connected or all are disconnected. This will prevent procedures from not being used even though the developer intents to.
Users can upload their own logos or icons for a relation (company or person) within the software. We’ve tried to visualize these social media icons and logos in the maps component HTML pop-up template. The icons are retrieved in an underlying view based on the data in the table ‘relation’ and added as an url to the HTML body of the pop-up. Unfortunately uploaded icons are not shown via the Windows GUI with Indicium. Also because the icons are uploaded to a fileshare where only the application pool user has read/write rights. It would be nice if uploaded logos/icons could be viewed within the Maps HTML pop-up template.
The task Assign work item (assign_work) in SF doesn't update the Assigned to column ( assigned_to_developer_id) for all selected records. It updates just the record with the focus.
For context I usually have very few resources per user, but it can grow op to dozens at certain times My resources have very short names (5 characters usually) The things that bother me at the moment: Resources are a small font that I can't seem to be able to change, so I get a lot of empty screen real estate The height of appointments are static and Word wrap on appointments is not available on Windows I think the resource scheduler would benefit from some of the following more graphic and layout features: Dynamic font size on resources, or maybe a specified font and size which could be done in the extender an/or theme Dynamic appointment row height (accounting for overlap with other appointments) Word wrap in all GUI's
One of the default validations of the Software Factory is to check if some objects of the model are no longer in use. This includes the screen types. With the introduction of the Universal GUI and Breakpoints this validation needs to be updated because the screen types with specific breakpoints are never in use, but instead chosen based on screen type of the subject and the resolution of the screen in use. This results in a big lists of screen types ‘not in use’ which is clearly not the case because they are variations of screen types which are in use.
At some point, Zeeman asks employees to enter their birth date. This can typed or selected in the calender. By default, the current day is selected when opening the calender. This is even so when part of the birth date is already typed in. In this case it would be nice if the selected date is some point in the past (f.e. 30 years ago, 1-1-1990), this would minimise the scrolling needed for all employees and therefore make the calender more useful.
Currently prefilters can only be accessed throughout a table. I would to be able to see all prefilters within a grid and be able to change them throughout this screen. Having this will enable me to check all prefilters queries at once, or edit them with mass update. Can the tab prefilters be enabled within the full model screen?
Currently we as developers can only force the users to put in characters in a certain way. Sadly the user might not know how to correctly put in values so we have to resort to either messages, column translations or other methods to show him or her what and how to put the value in. What I would like to be able to do is set an placeholder text on fields so the user can 1. see what needs to be entered and 2. how to put it in. See:
Location Business Logic > Functionality & Full model > Program objects Situations When assigning a template of a control procedure to a program object you can go to the result-tab and place it on the database by pressing execute. You can add a template to multiple program objects. When executing it to the database it will automatically deploy all program objects in which the template is available. When changing a template I want to test it first on one program object instead of all at once. This is currently not possible. However when I decide to remove or unassign a template from a program object this change is only installed onto the database by deploying it (or changing the actual stored procedure on the database). It is not possible to see which program objects are affected and update these. It even happened that removing a template results in errors while testing the application. Wish I want to see all program objects for which a template and/or assignment has changed, but that is currently not deployed to the database. Then I want to select one or more program objects and deploy these to the database.
When using process analysis and design specifications it is possible to see the model modifications per design specification paragraph. This comes in handy when you'd like to see what has been done to realise a design specification or requirement, like forward traceability. I'd like to see backward traceability as well. So when I see an object in the Software Factory, I can see why this has been created.
It would be great to set the chart type of a cube on the field level instead of on the cube level, since then it would be possible to combine line charts with column charts. See attached image of what would be possible (Excel example).
I've been asked to ad thousands separators to a numeric value in the GUI, but it seems this is currently not possible in the GUI. I found an INI parameter (UseWindowsCulture) that looks like a possible cure for the challenge, but after setting this value to yes, I can't see any difference. What I'd like to see is 123.456,00 instead of 123456,00. And using the INI setting UseWindowsCulture=yes doesn't seem to care to much about the setting in the “Digit grouping symbol” for Windows. Also, even if this works, it won't do a thing for the WebGUI as far as I can tell from the INI explanation. So, if it's currently not possible to have thousands separators in either GUI, is tt feasable in the (near) future? And to completely go wild: a bit more Excel like configurable formatting would be a great feature…
It would be nice to have a knowledge base of general code templates in the Thinkwise Community where developers can share their solutions for general development challenges. This will increase productivity and the exchange of knowledge between Thinkwise developers. You could think of default procedures or triggers for a date field or e-mail address. Or a dynamic procedure to add trace fields to a table.
In the debug window of the gui failed task (or other processes) executions are not showed. In the case of a failed execution it is interesting to see the parameter values of the task. Therefore this task call should be mentioned in the list. The icon could show that the call was not successful.
You can assign a work item to an employee. But unfortunately you can't unassign a work item. We'd like to see that this gets added, so that we can use this to better see which work is ready, and which work items are still available.
Comments are essential to refine a work item. I'm aware there is a section 'Discussion’, but this is too limited in our view. Possibilities that we'd like to see are: possibility to mention other employees (that get notified via mail) possibility to follow a work item (meaning you automatically get notified of updates made) possibility to respond to the comments of others possibility to format your comment (f.i. to distinct code from regular text)
