Propose your fantastic ideas regarding the Thinkwise Platform to our Product Team.
One of the great features of the Thinkwise low-code platform in terms of development speed, is also one of the most annoying features from an end user perspective: the concept of Detail Tabs for related tables. It is very challenging to keep the UI clean and understandable when getting more and more related tables. We often have to revert to Views which combine a few tables in order to improve the user experience.Today, one of our users came with a simple, yet effective solution to reduce the end-user feeling of being lost in the jungle of Detail Tabs: whenever you click on a menu-item of an already Open Document the GUI should automatically go to the Main tab of that menu-item, instead of bringing the user back to the Detail Tab of the Detail Tab the user worked in last...NOTE: when clicking on the Open Document itself, I would expect to stay in the Detail Tab, but whenever I try to open the document again from the regular menu and I don’t have a Detail Tab in Add/Edit mode, the GUI must assume I’m done there and wish to start from the Main again. I noticed it doesn’t work like this now in either Windows or Universal GUI.Do you like it? Please vote!
We have a solution that based on row changes an automatic calculation is triggered. However when a user uses the mass import/update functionality in the GUI the first insert/update will trigger the automatic calculation. THis increases the risk of a deadlock. Is there a way to detect that a user uses the GUI import/update functionality so the automatic calculation can be turned off temporarely?
As discussed in below topic. I would like to see the ability to turn on/off mandatory pre-filter groups to deal better with variants and performance when a variant doesn't use the group.
When creating a new column in an existing table it would be nice to have a task to copy the right from an already existing column to the new column. This would save time in settings all the rights for new columns which are similar to existing columns.I use columns as an example, but this could be equally useful for prefilters, tasks, task parameters, etc..
I have a number of detail tabs. I'd like to give the tab a background colour depending on a condition. (So basically the functionality of the conditional layout, but now for tabs.)In this way I can indicate the status of the information in that detail tab and help the user guide towards the tab of interest.Something similar could also be of interest to a form. If a form has multiple fields divided over multiple tabs, and some of these fields are invalid (and have a red background colour), then by colouring those tabs that have an invalid field would help the user in finding these erroneous fields.
Currently the size in the universal GUI for images on a card list is fixed at 100 x 100 pixels. On mobile screens this is about a quarter of the screen width, see the attached print screen.I would like to have settings to configure the size of the image for a card list to optimize the configuration of the screen. Edited from here by moderator:@Harm Horstman added to this idea:We make use of card lists more and more, but we like to adjust the size of card list images depending on the subject and the type of images. This is needed to have more options to let applications look more professional like the examples below. We tried, but were not able to achieve this with custom.cssHopefully it is not to difficult to add some extra options to the card list settings in SF:Size: Small / Medium / Large / Extra Large (25 / 50 / 100 / 200px) Border radius: 0 - 50% Download button: Yes / NoSomething like this:

We have a TW application, running at several customer sites. One of the main forms is a view presenting a list of records.I want the possibility to add a default prefilter for an IAM user group. This prefilter will not be predefined in SF because the prefilter could be different per customer. So this is a consultancy solution. There is IAM, Authorization, User groups, Group preferences, Default prefilters; but here I can only select a default prefilter as created in SF. I need to be able to create a prefilter in IAM, based on a column value.I find something that looks like what I'm searching for, but this is per user and making it ‘default’ does not seem to work. This is in: IAM, Authorization, Users, User preferences, Prefilters. Here I can define a custom prefilter using the ‘prefilter columns’ tab. Only I can't get it to default activate after loading the application. It can be manually activated though, using the ribbon.I would like the same per user group, and the possibility to enable it by default when starting the application (when the form is loaded). Linked question here.
When one tile authorised in mobile, the mobile GUI opens the tile menu and you briefly see the menu before the tile opens automatically. I'd rather not see the entire menu but go straight to the one tile, so skip the animaton.
As far as I know this is not possible yet, but similar to breakpoints for screentypes, we would like to see a posibility to have a menu option available or not depending on screen sizes. Some option in a particular menu would be very impractical if not impossible to use on a mobile device like a phone or smaller tablet. In that way we can have users that work on desktops as well as phones having one and the same menu and depending on the screen size might have one or more options dropped, as manipulating a particular table with dozens of fields to be entered for example on a mobile device might be totally impractical.
When I deploy an application the order of deployment is;Drop and Deploy tables Drop and Deploy constraints Drop and Deploy indexes. This order doesn’t allow to create referential constraints on unique candidate keys. This would become possible, when all required drops would be ordered separately from the creates. The constraints should be dropped before dropping the indexes, and the indexes should be created before creating the constraints.
We receive encytpted data from our partners and want to send them encrypted data. The data is put on a sftp site or can be reached using an api. We use PGP with a public and a private key.We would like to use a proces flow to get data and encrypt the data or encrypt the data and post it.For this we should be able to define which encrypting method is used and the keys needed for this method. This is not possible with the current DECRYPT and ENCRYPT process flow actions.
The idea is to have a possibility to select multiple rows to execute tasks on any type of deviceWe like how this is implemented in MS Outlook for iOS:
Will it be possible to add a new process action that will trigger when a user entered data on a field? For example, after the user entered data in a field it will save automatically:Without action from the user. We can also consider keyboard actions like when user press [tab] after entering data in a field to start a process a process action. What we currently have is Edit Row process action - User has to press save button to start the process action. Default Procedures - Can consider keystrokes but not possible to combine from process flows.
The Software Factory offers a lot of features which help you identify unused items. One that I am currently missing is a tool which informs you of unused messages. Often checks change overtime and message become redundant. It would be a great help if the Software Factory could inform you of unused messages. That way you can clean up these unused messages.
