Title bar color in Universal

Hi, We have in DEV and TEST different Windows GUI theme with different title bar color to make clear that it is not the PROD environment.Where can we change this also for the Universal GUI to have different title bar color for the TEST environment?Is that in the custom.css or can this be done from within the Software Factory?(we are using the 2014.1.14 Universal release)Thanks in advance!

INSERT CODE HEREDeclined

When adding new functionality and you skip the tab "Templates", by default a (New) template will be added with content:INSERT CODE HERE I feel it is better to put double hyphens before this autogenerated script to make it as a comment. Currently it will generate incorrect code and is reason for aborting the code execution to the DTAP environments.

How to delete base model related stuff

Hi, In the past, we included the base model for the Exchange connector into our work project. But we stopped with that and now we use the ms_graph functionality.But there are several ‘exh_**’ domains and tables auto generated by the base model, but these can't be deleted from the SF user interface.Even not after unlinking the base model from the project and generating the definitions.Is there an option to get them safely deleted from the model?Thanks in advance!

Parametrized template error due to XML in the code

Hi, We use often code with XML in our templates, like for processing the response of an SOAP API or using multirow parameter.Then we have the square brackets in the code, like what also is needed for parametrized template.When we make changes in the code and save it, then the error below is popping up in the Deploy tab.For now we copy the code and apply the changes in the related template and then we need to generate the control procedure again before deploying it, but that is lot of extra work.We are using the TW 2023.2.12 release. Is there a better solution for this or can the interpretation of the code being improved that it is coming from XML?

Universal list field selection behavior

Hi,With the upgrade to Universal 2023.2.12, we face some strange issues in the list of a view.When we select some field in record x and with the arrow up or arrow down button we navigate to next record, then the focus of the field sometimes jumps to different column in the next record.So it is switching randomly between column 4, 3, 1, 2, 3, etc It is only not coming for all columns. For some columns, it works normally when navigate through the rows, the same column has still the focus. Any idea why this is happening and how it can be resolved? Thanks

Disable resize columns (Windows GUI)

Hi, Is there an option to disable the Resize Columns button in the Menu Bar for the grid?Some users have customized the width of some of the columns in the grid, but then when they click by mistake on that button, that custom configuration is gone and they have to do the setup again. Add button disabled in detail linked to view

Due to performance reasons, we have created some views on top of some main tables and linked them to the original table.From the grid (view) we show in the detail screen the form of the table itself.But then the add button is disabled.For the table itself the Add options are enabled in the subject settings.Also in the layout procedure we don't manipulate the @add_button_type and it is parsed with value 0I think this is because of the 1:1 relation between the gridview and the table itself.How to enable the default Add button?

Performance issues

Hi, For our application, we are facing on several screens performance issues since we are in production and the set of data is growing.Some examples:For a table we moved some big fields containing json content already to a separate table, and made them visible in a form tab. But when click on the form tab, it still will take > 30 sec before it is loaded. It looks like the full table is loading before the related record is shown. For a screen we have defined a form layout to show (summary) details of related child records. This is currently build in a view, but when loading that tab it will take some time before the (filtered) data is shown. For a table we are showing lot of extra data with expression fields as the base data is not stored in that table, but in related tables. It is not preferred to have that data stored twice, als in the ‘header’ table to reduce the number of expression fields.Are there suggestions to improve the performance for loading the data in a form detail?

Reusable icons in Software FactoryCompleted

With 2020.2, the icons are stored in database. But when you would reuse an icon already used in your project, you have to select it again as image upload, so the icons are stored multiple times.Would be better if there is a central repository (per project / version) where the icons can be maintained and where you can refer to.An example is the info icon, what can be used on multiple subjects.See also

Combined filter and ASCII characters

In the combined filter we have enabled searching on city. We have records in the database with special ASCII characters in the name of the city like Årslev or Brønderslev in Denmark.When typing ‘Arslev’ or ‘Bronderslev’ in the combined search, then these records are not found.Is there an option that these records are also shown when typing the ‘regular’ ?

Report preview in screen

Is it possible to show a DevExpress report preview as a screen component like the file preview in the Windows GUI?Our intention is to show for a list of records a preview of the related report, to verify if the data is ok, to reduce the user input for click on a report button and each time a popup is coming.

Opening a screen with process flow not properly filtered

I’ve created a task and added to process flow to open a floating document, containing a map with 1 or more locations to show. It should filter the opened form on given input parameter of the task. I see that when I trigger for the first time the task, the document is opened, but with the first set of locations in the view.When triggering the task again, while the document is open, then it comes properly filtered. When triggering the task again, after closing the document, then again with first row. When triggering with the Process Flow Monitor open and going step by step, then it also works fine.I tried already several options, like switching the activate document before or after filtering, go to row. But no solution so far that it works in one shot.Is there an example available for the process flow to open and activate a document filtered on certain parameters / flow variables?

Merging database diagram conflictsClosed

Facing several times a merging conflict due to slightly changed data model diagrams that some table is moved to different position.Like when in existing data model diagram in trunk a table is moved to different position and same happened in a branch version also, but then to different position.Can this be avoided that it comes as conflict?

Make records readonly based on status value

I've table with 60+ fields and some related tables (parent-child relation). Based on a status in the header table, the record in that table and the related records in the child tables should be made readonly in a layout procedure.Is there option to make this in a ‘simple’ part of code without specifying all the fields separately?Otherwise there is a risk when adding new fields, that these will be missed to make them also readonly.Is this possible with dynamic model? Views creation Generation order and priority

Hi, I've defined a view vw_tour_resource. Some columns of this view I would reuse in another view vw_tour_driver.When testing the query itself for the view vw_tour_driver, then in works fine. But when creating a new version, then I get an error I think the root cause of this is that the view vw_tour_driver is created first before the (existing) view vw_tour_resource as it is alphabetically earlier.I tried to influence it with Generation order no and Priority, but that seems not working. Tried with giving higher or lower priority, higher or lower Generation order no, but that seems not helping.How to fix this issue?

tsf_send_message: Special characters in messagesOpen

Currently text parsed to the parameter is handled straight as given. In some cases when you would show there some text like name of a company having special characters, then the message is not coming properly.When for example giving the input ‘<text>ROLLER Gmbh & Co. KG</text>, then the message comes incorrect showing like:To make it correct, you have to replace the '&’ with '&amp;’ before parsing it to tsf_send_message.Would be good if these special characters are handled within the tsf_send_message. Otherwise you have to implement a custom procedure as wrapper to do the replacement

Views readonlyMerged

When creating a view, most of the times it will be readonly as most of them are not updatable views. It would be good to have a setting or a default option to make the fields readonly when defining the view in the datamodel. Will save quite some time as you now all the fields manually have to change to readonly instead of editable.

auto-save in form

Hi,How is the auto-save property working in a detail form?I have enabled it for a subject, but the update is not triggered after changing values for some field(s). I've scenario, that I have to fill certain field, to save it and then a next field having a dropdown gives proper filtered list (based on a view). Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to reuse existing icon, already stored in the database, for in a form or for group section?Like an info icon can be used very often on different places.Will be helpfull when working with more developers to avoid to have the icons stored multiple times.Now only upload option is there.

Multiple lookups filtered on different value to same table

Hi, I’ve a scenario with a sales order with a sender company with related location and receiver company with related location. What is the best approach to make lookups for the both locations? For sender location, it should filter the available locations on the sender company and for the receiver location, it should filter on the receiver company. Both sender and receiver are retrieved from company table and location from the related company_location table. Can I use same lookup or should I create different ones?
