Exact implementation of the import wizard

In the release notes for 2023.12 b1.0 is stated that the import wizard is being built. Can you give any information in how this wizard will work exactly? We're very eager to try this.Can we for example configure that the imported data contains column/data translations/ids or specify the used tab page in the excel? Just as is already built in the Windows gui?Thanks.

Provide error message in extra column in failed rows export resulting from import wizardOpen

We frequently use the import wizard to import files into lists. We tend to use a view here with an instead of trigger, so we can resolve lookups through the view, validate the data and automatically map the column names with the import wizard. This all works tremendously well, but we would like to add something extra. If rows fail in the import wizard, you can export them later. Unfortunately, what you can't see is why these rows failed. They are color-coded, but you can't display a textual explanation for them. We would like to be able to use the tsf_send_message to return a message, which is updated with the corresponding row in the export with failed records. This way, an end user can see more clearly what needs to be changed and can then try to re-import the export with failed rows.This is just a possible solution, if there is a better idea to inform a user of the errors, without getting a popup for each row or aborting an import with an error message, that would be very nice.

'Jump' to 'model rights' screen from objects to which rights can be assigned.Merged

Hello, as discussed in this topic, it should be possible in the next release to ‘jump' between SF screens. I would like to offer the idea to jump to the ‘Model rights’ screen from objects like tasks, prefilters, process flows, subroutines and other objects to which rights can be assigned. This way we can more easily oversee which roles already have access to an object from the objects’ perspective, making it easier to assign these roles to a new object. For example, if i have some prefilters available in a subject for a specific role, and i were to add another prefilter to that subject, i would like to see which roles have access to the other existing prefilters to make it easier to identify which roles i need to assign to the new prefilter.

Disable unit testing on productionOpen

At this moment it's possible to run unit tests on a specific database and server configured in a runtime config. Running unit tests on Production (and sometimes even Acceptance) can be pretty tricky. If the unit test were to fail due to an transaction mismatch, the transaction might not be rolled back, which can result in serious data loss. To prevent this from happening, maybe its an idea to define if running unit tests is allowed on a runtime config level. And off course make sure this is blocked when a developer triggers unit tests via this runtime config.

Change Universals' message when refreshing model/logging out during editingOpen

When you are editing a record in the Universal GUI, the GUI prompts with a message to inform a user that he is still adding/editing a record, and he should first cancel or save it’s changes before logging out. Is it possible to change this (at least for developers, who regularly refresh the model) to the prompt if a user wants to cancel his changes, that is also shown when the user simply uses the cancel button in the form? This will save some time and frustration when regularly testing and refreshing the model.

Create roles SF

Hello, at this moment there are very few roles to use in the SF. We’ve currently allowed members of the BI-team to access the Software Factory to analyze the data model and we expect to allow testers in the near feature as well, to register test cases and runs. Is it possible for us to create roles or for you to provide roles that’ll give users limited access in the SF?Thanks in advance. Dear regards,Bram.

Display configured mock data as tableOpen

when you are configuring mock data, the complete data set can sometimes become quite cluttered. Also, you cannot immediately see which results are returned by an expression. I would like to see a tab next to the 'column values', or in another place if that makes more sense, with 'data', where the result of the complete mock data set can be displayed. Then we wouldn't have to click back and forth through all the configured rows to see the result of the mock data set and look for where an expression is incorrect or data is wrong, for example.

Filter out control procedures without unit testsOpen

To more easily identify which control procedures are not yet covered by a unit test, it would be nice if there was a prefilter for this in the functionality screen. This way we can find these more easily and create them directly in the detail tab. An added bonus would be to display a badge at the unit tests, so you can immediately see by how many unit tests the control procedure is covered.

Make validations part of the merging processOpen

Hello, we have recently started using the latest version of the SF and are extremely happy with the ease of branching and merging and are trying to ensure stability with unit tests and smoke tests.Currently, a branch can be merged into the trunk without having to do any validation. We would like to make running validations part of the merge process, as is currently done in the upgrade process. At the moment this is already possible of course, but it would be more convenient to see the merge sessions on one screen.Personally, we would at least like to see if there are unfinished/failed unit tests, if there are unfinished/failed smoke tests and if there are control procedures that are still under development/in review.

'Squashing' upgrade scripts assigned to specific branches

Hello! I’m still not quite sure if this works the way i would expect this to work and how i can make sure it does. I’ve had several situations where a datamodel change in a branche has resulted in a manual upgrade script, which i assigned to a specific point in time for that model/branche, after enabling ‘use upgrade logic’ on the ‘model versions’-screen. This appears to be working fine for the creation of the branche. After merging the branche in the trunk and starting the creation process for the origin trunk, the manual upgrade script was not automatically assigned. I expected that the assignment was ‘squashed’ between point in times (between last upgrade time in database and current time) and the manual upgrade script was assigned in the trunk as well. The only was for this to work right now is to assign it as ‘always’, but this can be problematic as some manual upgrade scripts are designed to be executed just once, and they will be executed by a later upgrade as well.So how exactl

Use the SQLEditor domain in UniversalOpen

We would like our end users to be able to write small pieces of code to create validations in our end product. These validations can be used to validate for example products, production lines and other entities before they are activated and can be used in the application by other departments. For this, the sqleditor domain would be ideal.

Process testing on Universal

Hello, We’re currently working on our CI/CD processes where we let Azure Devops Pipelines automatically deploy our environments. To validate whether the deployed environment is stable, we execute unit tests. This will give us an idea of the stability, but ideally we would also like to (automatically) execute process tests. This is currently not available in the Universal GUI and i don’t think we can execute them automatically on the Windows GUI.So my question is when we can expect to run process tests in the Universal GUI and can we execute these process tests with for example odata calls? Or will there be an other way to execute these process tests automatically after deployment? We’ve read the below topic but it doesnt really give a clear answer and is already a year old. We’ve hoped that there might be more information available at the moment.

Reserving space in the taskbar

When using universal on tablets, the space available in the screen becomes increasingly important. We are now in the situation where users go into the factory with the tablet to do various safety checks on various machines. Now we see that tasks are quickly truncated from text+icon to icon, with the display type set to "Icon + text (> text > icon). Yet we see that there is still very much space available in the action bar. Can we soon expect better use of this available space, or can we influence this ourselves with screentypes?More then enough room for tasks 1 pixel smaller, tasks only show icon or go to overflow, while there is enough room for text (and maybe icon)

Domain values and translations SF database

Sometimes when I am working on a dynamic model for example, it is difficult to figure out which database value for a domain in the SF database translates to a particular translation in the GUI. For example, figuring out the database value in the table col for column 'calculated_field_type' when it is an expression or when it is a calculated column can be quite tedious. I usually then look for a column in the UI with the particular value I am looking for, and then query the database to find out what database value is associated with this. What is the easiest way to figure this out? Is there a data dictionary somewhere I can refer to?

Copy value in list copies the entire record

When we select the value of a column in a list and paste it, the entire record is copied to the clipboard. Can we make it so that only the selected part of the record is copied? Should i create an idea for this or is this something you cannot influence in the Universal GUI?

Change detection in default editable list

Hello, As far as i can see, it seems that auto-edit in grid disables change detection. I’ve enabled auto refresh (1 second) I’ve enabled Edit and Auto-edit on the Grid I’ve enabled Change detection I’ve confirmed that change detection query works in the windows GUI.I can see that the change detection is called in developer tools on a record with a detail to an empty subject, but when i change te row to a record which has data in it’s detail tab, the change detection is not called anymore.Is this something that i’ve modelled wrong, is it a bug or is it something that will be implemented in the future, and if so, when can we expect this to work? Thanks in advance.

Azure devops PBI/tasks integration SF

Hello,some time ago i heard some rumours to create an integration in the SF to retrieve PBI’s and tasks from Azure Devops. We might be interested to use this integration to collect the PBI’s from our sprints in the SF, to register and link test cases and test runs. Include application alias and application active parameters in copy application taskNew

Since we sync development branches to IAM, we need to copy a lot of applications. Branches are synced to IAM so that we can test autorization. It would be a great QOL improvement if we can add two parameters to this task:Application alias Application activeThis way, we don't have to copy an application, go to the form to edit these fields and save the record.

Task in IAM to activate/deactivate an applicationNew

During an upgrade, we deactivate the application in IAM, to make sure the process flows stop running while the model changes are not sent to IAM yet. When you have multiple applications on one model, you need to activate/deactivate all these applications through the form. We would like to see a task where you can activate/deactivate multiple selected applications in IAM.
