We are looking for a way to make a pdf report, based on real time data, available on the customer's website. The intention is not to show the report in an iframe, but as a download. Something like how the file API works would be great, but then a real time generated file as response. Is there a way to realize this with a GET request?example: https://.../indicium/iam/api/public_vessel_schedule_pdf?route_name=north_europe&duration_weeks=4 Or will this always have to be done via a POST request? We have started setting up a system flow, but we are stuck. What is the recommended approach?
Hi Community, When I try to use shortcuts in the universal GUI it automatically edits my lowest detail screen. Am I doing something wrong?
I wonder how you can navigate back from a detail screen to a form in Universal, in case the detail screen is opened via a detail button. Like the scenario below:
Hello, we have a group of prefilters that prefilter the status of a purchase order. As you can see in the image, the prefilters would easily fit in the top bar above the list. However, the prefilters are not shown here. When we make the screen a little bit wider however, the prefilters are displayed as expected. Is this considered a bug or is there any way a developer can influence this behaviour via the SF? Thanks in advance.
Hi, The topic is closed, but I can't quite figure it out. This topic; https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/questions-conversations-78/universal-search-and-prefilter-in-screen-4095 it says that the Toolbar should be there. My problem is still there, and I still have to solve it. But when I look here; https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/product-updates/release-notes-universal-gui-2023-1-17-4124#New+screen+component:+Toolbar Should the SF support this from 2023.1 I have SF 2023.1 with all the hotfixes. Here; that toolbar. Also, I can't find anything regarding this in the Docs. What am I missing? Or what are the alternatives? Thank you! Blommetje
Hi all, In our solution, we show a pdf file for our users using the preview component. On all devices (desktop, IOS and Android) this is working as expected, except for the default browser on Android : Chrome The expected behavior is that a preview of the document is shown in the previewer. However, for Chrome on Android the user has to click to open the document. Preview component in Chrome on Android We deliver the mobile application as a easy and accessible solution to show drawings. For us as an ISV, it’s hard to explain our customers that this is not working on Chrome on Android. Options for now are Firefox on Android (as this is working), but that not an easy and accessible solution for the end-user. iOS (Apple) but that’s a choice the customer has to make (and is not up to us as an ISV) In the long run these are not viable options. Are there any other options to show the preview or is there any change this will be fixed in the preview component?
What is the current status of the Form List component in the Universal GUI. Is seems to work, but we get some errors, the screen becomes frozen, not always, but often, we cannot find a reason for this behavior. The Feature Matrix, says 'Work in Progress’, when can we expect the Form List to be 100% ready?
Hi, We use several additional apps that are loaded via the previewer. On desktops it works perfectly fine.. however when we access the U-GUI via iPad/iPhone the iFrame sometimes loads but more-over ends us loading ‘blank’.. Why is that? There are no errors, no notifications.. just the iframe loads the app (and then it works) or it loads blank and it stays empty obviously. attached a .har file.
I’ve just upgraded to SF 2020.2 and noticed I cannot download / edit the reports: If I click the button (in red) and save the file, it results in a empty file. I did use the task ‘Upload images and reports to database’ according to the manual. I’ve checked the table ‘report’. The column ‘file_spec_data’ does contain some binary data I see, but when downloading it remains empty. How can I edit DevExpress reports?
