Propose your fantastic ideas regarding the Thinkwise Platform to our Product Team.
Because we are able to show more tabs on one screen it depends on the cursor location what help text is shown. You have to press Help for each tab to get the full picture.I would like to have dynamic links in the help text based on authorizations, for the main document and the available detail tabs.main document namedetail document name 1 detail document name 1 cube view 1 cube view 2 This way it will be easier to jump through the help text. Now the icons are stored in the database, it would also be possible to use the same icons in the help (tabs, tasks, prefilters, reports etc.).Finally, we should be able to link all help text objects manually (tsfhelp://cube_view/device_kpi) .
It is currently not possible to change the gray background of Cube dimensions. We are able to change the Font of the text but sadly not the background. Gray background of fieldsWhat I would like is that I can change the background colors for the Dimensions. This includes the setting of the Column background and the row background. For example: Where Consequence, Validation, Fieldname and Data are named, I want to make the background Light blue Where Standaard waarde, Leeg veld and so on are named, I want to make the background color White.
Can the space reserved for the breadcrumb be released if no breadcrumb is set and the subject is only displayed as a grid?
I would like to be able to give a Group a background color to more distinguish the parent from it's children. Below I've added an example. In this example it is a box around the text but it could also just be a background: Don't mind the translation errors, this is a work in progress It could use Conditional Layout where I give the Grouped column a certain background.
Filter objects to be selected on only the assigned assignments Further explanation:Unittest screen -> choice for default, And choice for object. I can still choose from all control procedures.
Validation that checks whether all control procedures have a unit test.It is not necessary to make unit tests part of the project for every project. Wish to make configurable to make validations on unmade unit tests.
Sometimes you want to give a user the possibility to display the details of a column value with a lookup for this column. This works great when the columns have a value. But when a column is not editable and not mandatory, the value could be empty. Take for example a table with transactions. The table is not editable and the columns production order and sales order are not mandatory. I want the users to be able to show detail information of the sales order and the production order. When they have a value the lookup works great. If a sales order has no value and I (accidentally) press the lookup, I get a complete list of all the sales orders. I think in this case it’s not necessary and it could take some time when it’s a large table to lookup.I know it is possible to have a lookup table variant that shows a max number of records for a large table. But it could be easier by just hiding the lookup if the column is empty and not editable.
There should be an extra configuration to be able to set the Device type which is accessing the specific published app in the Universal GUI and be able to set this config in the IAM.This will provide a more flexible configuration to be allowed in IAM definition of a Published application as a combination of having it for <User Groups><Applications><device types>. Example case:If User is inUser group 1 that is for a Mobile App with a tile menu and User group 2 is for Web portal tree menu Currently the user will access both published Apps if I define them as a separate Application and restrict the user groups default menu in IAM. I cannot restrict the User from seeing the web portal on his mobile device and vice versa I cannot restrict them from seeing the Mobile App on a Desktop device.Expectation is that by defining a User that has access in 2 different User groups/Applications that I can choose also the device type the user group/Application can be displayed on. Each User group can be linked to a separate menu or app or device type. IAM currently is identifying device types in the Session Log but it is not part of any settings. It may as well be extended for such use as well.
Users are being created in IAM and their information is visible only to the Admins of the IAM itself. The Users cannot see the related information and does not have the ability to modify these information directly. The Idea is to provide the users access to that information existing in IAM via the Account menu in Universal and the ability to modify them. The user will be able to modify the available fields of:Name Surname Gender Profile picture email Phone numberAlso the User should be able to optionally (Configuration based options)select by themselves into what type of authentication they prefer from plain password to the available 2 factor authentication. De-activate their account. Delete their account.
Sometimes users want to be able to print the list. This could be done with the 'Print preview' option in the context menu of the list. This works great, because it prints only the filtered rows. Unfortunately there is no possibility to select or to model the columns that should be printed. It would be great if we don't need a report to print a simple list.
I'd like the process flow modeler to remember the ‘Show order no:’ setting in the modeler itself. Now it disables the setting when you exit the designer.
It would be nice if we could format the badge on a tile. When you can reformat the badge to a large font on a tile next to an icon or some text, you could create a smart dashboard with for example ' Number items open', or average wait time, average days sales outstanding, or amount orders last month, or days without accident, or whatever. it should be possible to format the badge next to integers even in amounts, decimals, dates or time. By clicking the tile you can see the underlying data. With this possibility you can make it possible to show the user the main points of interest and where action is needed. Instead of showing data and they can filter.
I would like to have an ability (through extended properties for example) to change the standard export setting to excel regarding font (and if possible, properties like size).
I would like to be able to show a chart component for a cube component that is configured as editable. I want to show a chart and cube in the main subject with aggregated information (performance). When I select a cell in the cube, I want to show a chart and cube with detail information of the selected cell, in a detail tab. At this moment it is possible to show the detail information in a detail tab of the selected cell in a cube, but it is not possible to show the chart. At the end, it would be nice to be able to select a bar or a line of the chart and show detail information in a detail tab (BI).
When the number of rows to be checked with a checkbox is limited, or there is a single checkbox, it may be visual more attractive to the user to display a checkbox as an icon (different icon when checkbox = Yes or checkbox = No). Example 1 checkbox Example several chekboxes:
I have a suggestion for adding a screen element wich can be placed only horizontal in the top or bottom of the screen where you show some custom data fields. This would be very usefull to show some dynamic filter settings for the screen or other data which is not directly record related but subject or filter related.
When Indicium is running on a server which is inside a DMZ, for which the outgoing connections are all routed through a proxy, Indicium is unable to make a connection to the Licensing service. This can be quite annoying when deploying a new IAM or upgrading, since the GUI apps become unavailable when no license is present, halting any possibility to test these apps after upgrading.Similarly, in this situation any requests done by the HTTP-connector (for instance in scheduled process flows) will also fail to get through when the DMZ blocks access to the licensing service.I'm not sure what the best place would be for these settings, I would look for it in IAM itself, in a global configuration or in Indicium's settings.
For tasks where you only need to choose a date I would be great if the task would show directly a date picker and executes the task directly or after confirmation.
What we currently are able to do are putting badges on our tables and views. This can show how much records are in there or meet a certain requirement. Very handy but not sufficient for my idea. What if we could define notifications inside the Software Factory and when a certain action happens, let the user know about it through a notification? It's like you receive an email, you get a pop-up telling you that you received an email about a certain subject. Wouldn't it be handy if for instance an notification would be given if a new order has been received or receive a notification that one of your delivery trucks has almost run out of one type of product? The possibilities are endless. I would love to see a way to define Notifications inside the Software Factory which I can give to the users of the application at certain times. One way is to let the application give out the notification itself. But it is also possible to use the Action center of Windows. Example using the Action Center of Windows:
