If possible to auto-hide / auto-appear the Form Detailed View.

For example to have a collapsible/expandable Form Detailed View, if the user double-clicks on record or clicks on a specific button/icon to expand/collapse that View.

We could have records on Grid View and use a collapsible/expandable Form Detailed View to show details of the record.

Similarly how the Main menu works as seen on the attached image.

Maybe you could add a mockup about how you expect this to work?

Do you expect the details inside the grid view or more like a collapsible panel underneath the entire gridview?

In the Universal GUI , to be able to collapse/expand the detailed view.

Some users have a very small laptop screen and this is very useful. Please note that when you hide and unhide the Detailed View it should remember the size it had before.

Isn't this something that could be solved by using a compacter lay out (less white spaces / margin / padding)? The columns of the grid are for example unnecessary wide.

Is this idea similar to this one?:
Collapsible screen type elements | Thinkwise Community (thinkwisesoftware.com)

(The idea above is already on the backlog)

@Mark Jongeling , i didn’t understood what was explained on that idea, but yes it seems similar to that idea.
