It would look more clear to hide the Tasks and Reports ribbon tabpage when there are no tasks or reports available, just like the tabpages for Cubes and Charts.

Why not remove the tasks/reports tab altogether? They are already visible in the main tab of the ribbon, when available?

If the tasks/reports ribbon tabpage becomes contextual, its caption is not bound anymore by the UI guideline to use a static name for it. In this context, I think it makes sense to rename it to the focused subject, giving a hint about what actions can be found.

In any case, we'll have to investigate the potential disadvantage that a contextual ribbon tabpage is automatically selected whenever the focus changes to a subject which exposes tasks and/or reports. I agree that we should then reconsider having the main tabpage display tasks and reports as well.
