The reality in Brasil is that people work everytime more on laptops, but most laptops have a very dramtic screen resolution due to the costs of technology here. Standard resolution is 1360 x 768 or sometimes even lower. On this resolution you have not a lot of space, and there fore we usually use a grid with details. That means that every time you want to have a look on another subject you have to go back to the grid and select another. Therefor I think it would be very usefull to have action buttons “next” and “previous” that would select the next and previous item of the active context. What is the best way to deal with this situation?
A use case that happens ins many cases is where you have the grid with a detail tab with the form and other elements. For the user It's quite cumbersome to be going back and forth every time he wants to see the details of a couple of items in a row. I really miss the previous and next navigation buttons in the detail, where you can jump easily to the next or previous item in the context without the need to go back.
In stead of using static categories in a tree, we would like to use more flexible tags system. similiar to what we have in this community. This image of the community software of tags is the UX that is most often seen for adding tags, where you can start typing and choos a tag from the list. How would you recommend to simulate this in the universal GUI?
In most (web based) applications it's common to use pre and post fixes, like this on in the omage. That way you can easily indicate how the data in the field should be interpreted. Usecases are currencies, percentage, wheight, degrees, etc. What are the plans for the universal in that respect?
I see an interesting screen type: dashboard. How does that work?
In the windows Gui it is possible to search with the combine filter both on a level and the details. Is it possible to do this in the Universal GUI as well? subject Detail search options in Gui:
If you have a text area field (memo field) and you have a lot of text so you need to scroll, there is a popup on mouseover. This is such an annoying popup, because it makes it impossible to read the information in the field, because in the popup everything is plain text and it covers completely the text in the text area: It would be awesome if we could use the textfields.
Hello all,We find that using icons is a very nice way to visually help the user navigate through the tool and understand the actions they will perform. We use the icons for example in the task buttons, made available in the icons tab. thee are all light weight svgs, but as you can see in the screenshot, they are a major reason for delaying the opening of the document, up to 10 seconds. Any ideas what the reason could be and what we can do to improve this performance?

In our Enterprise Service Management Application, the core of the system is the creation of workflows. At the moment it works quite nice creating new table roles and adding the type of connections between the activities. How ever, users are often request for mor visual aid in creating the workflow. The visualization of the activities is already possible in the universal resource scheduler, however, the links are not possible. Could this be added, like it exists in the windows and webGui since 2021??
Hello all,Thanks to @Leroy Witteveen I´ve been able to integrate my custom screen in the universal needly.Access to the authentication-cookies | Thinkwise Community (thinkwisesoftware.com) off course, the next question is, how to update any changes I make in this custom screen back to the database. I was testing the addition of a newly created link between to entities using a post request as described in the documentation here And if I understand this documentation about Resource staging , I wouldn´tt have to bother about it. Menu of my application in the universal GUI overlaps the main frame like in the screenshot. I´ve cleared cache and browser history of Edge (Versie 97.0.1072.62), installed a clean chrome ( 97.0.4692.99), but the problem still persists. I run windows 11. Any ideas on the cause and the possible solution?
I need to create to a header for my aplication in the Universal, and I want to use the custom screen functionality as described here.For some reason i continue to receive an [unkown error] message in the aplication as soon as I set the HTML field to an expression. What am I doing wrong? in the expression field I´ve tried full html, starting with div tags, and plain text, but it all leads to the same error. Here are my settings:
