Change the Search Code shortcut to Ctrl+Enter in the SFNext release

For almost all actions in the SF you can use ctrl+enter to execute/save your changes. However for Code Search this currently is Alt+S. This is counterintuitive and could be more user friendly.

Show week number in date pickerOpen

A lot of our users rely on week numbers when discussing certain dates. However the current datepicker available in the Universal GUI does not show week numbers. It would make their experience better when it is shown.

Use other hotkeys for Add & Delete records (ctrl+ / ctrl -)Open

ProblemWe try to provide our users with as much data on the screen as possible, however since the Compact Mode of the Universal GUI is not compact enough. We advise our users to adjust the zoom level of their browser to 90%, however when they use the popular short key ctrl & -, they get a prompt asking if they want to delete the record they are in. This issue also arises when an end user tries to show something on a larger screen with a different resolution (eg. on a large tv screen for a presentation)SolutionSo since ctrl & - and ctrl & + are popular short key, do not use them as “thinkwise short key”. Instead maybe use ctrl & alt & - or something similar.

Execute Upgrade Script really at the end of an upgradeDeclined

ProblemI add an extra element to a domain. Then I need to change some data in the table and set some records to this new element. So I write an upgrade script and assign it to after. However the upgrade fails since I am trying to add data that’s not conform the check constraints. This is caused by the fact that the check constraints get updated later then the upgrade script get executed.SolutionI would like to be able to execute an upgrade script at the end of an upgrade, not at the end of the step upgrade. I find it confusing that an upgrade script that is assigned as after, gets exectuded during an upgrade.

"Don't show again" option for close all documents on switching branchesNext release

ProblemWith the release of the new software platform the SF offers to close all documents for us when switching branches (yeah!). However my colleagues and I always want to do this, so we get a pop-up we always answer the same waySolution"Don't show again" option for close all documents on switching branches. This way, developers that always want their documents to close, do not get bothered with a unnecessary pop-up.

SF: Add Combined Filter to Filter table inNext release

Please add a combined filter to the filter list under subjects > data. It seems to be missing:When trying to configure the new advanced filter form, this is quite annoying since you cannot easily look-up a column you’d like to change

I just posted an Idea and realised I made a grammar mistake, I could not update or alter this mistake. This is annoying and undermines the idea. So it would be great if we could edit the idea (for the first few minutes after it has been posted).

Making Navigation Intuitive in Opened Thinkwise DocumentMerged

While observing some of our users navigate our Thinkwise application we noticed some interesting behavior. After they opened a document via the list bar menu, and executed some action on a detail tab of this document, they wanted to navigate back to the main of that document.The first thing many of them tried was going to the menu and clicking on the opened tab of the openend document. Do defaults work on Formlist?

We’re developing a screen that makes use of a formlist, however we’re struggling a bit with getting a default to work. Is it a known limitation of the formlist that these do not work or are we simply doing something wrong?When looking in the Dev tools at the Network calls I do not see a default being called. The default is really straightforward and should always fill in a value, its something like thisselect @date_column = getutcdate()Would love some help 😁

Improve the workflow for maintaining unit testsCompleted

Currently creating and maintain unit tests is extremely cumbersome, to illustrate I’ve written down the steps I needed to take to fix the unit test for a simple default.1. Go to Unit Test2. Run unit tests3. Filter on Failed Unit test4. Have a look at actual output5. Open functionality6. Try to find the code the unit tests is based on7. Check the code8. Go back to the unit tests and op the maintenance tab9. Go back to Unit tests to copy the name of the failed unit tests since the failed unit test is not by default selected.10. Check input parameters11. Select tab expected output -> check output parameters12. Check Mock Data to see which data set is coupled13. Select tab Mock data set14. Select data set that is coupled to the unit test (again I need to do this manualy since there is no reference)15. Look for the tables that are used in the code16. Detail icons on tabs - Configuration options

In the new Universal release I’ve read that tabs now have Icons, however I’m wondering to what extend we can influence this behavior?Can we determine which screentypes shows the icons? Can we determine if a table should show its icon as tab icon? Can we only show an icon and not the tab title?I did some digging in the SF/documentation but I could not found any settings to configure this, could anyone tell me what’s possible and how to implement this in the SF?

Show the sum of Badges on the List bar groupOpen

Badges are great for attracting the attention of the user. We’re for example using them to help our users see their pending actions in our ERP system. However, to see these badges the user needs to open the list bar group. This kind of defeats the purpose since the user now needs to search for the badges by opening the list bar groups instead of seeing the totals right away when they open the Universal GUI. IdeaMake it possible to show the sum of Badges on the List bar group, this way a user can easily see which items need his attention instead of only noticing this when they open a list bar group.

How to prevent "Request error. The object was not found. You may have insufficient rights or the object no longer exisits."

We’ve got a table task that enables our users to delete certain records from a grid. This task is triggered by a double click on the record. The user can then select a task parameter that deletes the record that was used to trigger the task. We then refresh the subject. The user then get’s the following pop-up: Although the message pop-up is not strange, since the selected record was deleted. It’s confusing for our users since the wording is strange and the behaviour was intended.What can we do to prevent this message from triggering?

Default 'Merge from:' to active branchCompleted

Almost always you’re going to merge you’re active branch. However currently I need to select that branch from a dropdown, it would save time and effort if my current active branch would be defaulted so I do not need to select it.

Add description to DomainsCompleted

The power of domains is that they are easy to reuse and thus to maintain. However the name alone is sometimes not enough to communicate it’s use. So it would be nice if you could add a short description to a domain.This way you could add a quick description describing why it was created and why for example the min and max values are the way that they are. This keeps this knowledge in the Software Factory instead of in the brains of the developers.

Cannot assign upgrade script to specific version from the main

I've got a branch and a main, in the branch i've written functionality that's in need of an upgrade script. We're migrating some from a column that will be deleted during the upgrade to a new table, so therefore I need to assign it as a During upgrade script. Since after the first upgrade the column is deleted this script will cause future upgrades to fail, to prevent this I only want to execute this script when upgrading from our latest production version. To enable this, I've set Use upgrade logic to true for this version (in the main), this is having the desired result in the main, however in the branch these program objects are not showing up in the Assigning tab. What am I doing wrong?

Stop emailing me when my TCP's are being assessedClosed

SituationWhenever I raise a TCP I get an email five minutes later that my ticket is ‘being assesed’. I find this e-mail quite annoying because I already know this is happening and it’s not telling me anything new. SolutionStop sending e-mails when a TCP is being assessed. The e-mail updating the status after the assessing should be sufficient since then I know new information.

Automatically switch to merged branch after merge session.Merged

ProblemWhen I execute a merge and put my old branch on inactive, it remains my active branch. However since I have said I want to deactivate my old branch, I no longer want to work in it.SolutionAfter a merge session where you deactivate your source branch, switch branches to the target branch of the merge session.

Merge conflicts on the x and y axis of objectsClosed

SituationWhen editing process flows or data model diagrams, we sometimes get merge conflicts on the location of process flow actions and tables in the diagram. If for example, in branch A I move process action Z a bit to the left and in branch B a collogue moves branch B a bit to the right, this results in a merge conflict. SolutionSince this is merely an aesthetic change I do not want to be bothered by it when trying to merge my branch. When you rearrange an entire process flow these conflicts can stack up and confuse (junior) developers. So I think it should be possible to eitherDon’t take this conflicts into account when creating a merge session Add a setting so I can configure the SF to not takes these conflicts into account.

Bring mandatory fields in focus for the end userOpen

SituationWhen a user is trying to submit a form, but is not allowed to due to the fact that not all mandatory fields are filled in a user can get lost and frustrated since he cannot see which field he needs to fill in because the field just falls of his screen and he needs to scroll in the form to see it.SuggestionWhen a form cannot be submitted because of an empty mandatory field and the field is not on the screen of the user (because he needs to scroll further down the form), we should help the user by bringing the field into his screen.

Refresh Model should ignore open formsOpen

In one of the latest releases we as developers got the possibility to use the Refresh Model functionality in the Universal GUI. This is very powerful and I find myself using it a lot. However I find it frustrating that I cannot use Refresh Model in an open form.Since I am developing in a development environment and therefore I am entering mock data just to test my functionality, I do not care about saving this data. It is therefore quite annoying that I need to close the form before I can use Refresh Model. So refresh model should ignore an open form.

Resource Scheduler should be more compact in compact modeOpen

SituationThere is currently quite some white space in the resource scheduler, even when using compact mode. Our users would like to have as many rows as possible within their screen so they do not need to scroll to see all relevant information.SuggestionReducing the height of the rows in the scheduler in compact mode would provide more rows for the end user, users who want a more aesthetically pleasing GUI can use comfortable mode.See images for an example:

SituationAs a user, I can easily make mistakes in entering password in the Universal GUI since I do not get warned when my Caps Lock is on. SolutionWhen a user needs to fill in for example a password, she should be warned when Caps Lock is on
