Task in IAM to activate/deactivate an applicationNext release

During an upgrade, we deactivate the application in IAM, to make sure the process flows stop running while the model changes are not sent to IAM yet. When you have multiple applications on one model, you need to activate/deactivate all these applications through the form. We would like to see a task where you can activate/deactivate multiple selected applications in IAM.

Vertical list (Screen type)On the backlog

For most cases horizontal lists are the way to go as it displays the value from left to right. But sometimes I would like to be able to make the list vertical. For instance when I'm comparing products I would like to have a vertical list so I can see all the differences side by side. Product comparison websites also use this, see: I think this could make our end products even more great with creating the Wow-effect. Let me know if you agree!

Hyperlink behavior

Can someone explain the behavior below?On mobile devices, hyperlinks are displayed in 2 ways. I just can't figure out why and I cannot reproduce this either. The URLs are exactly the same and are shown within a preview component. The example in the middle shows the desired behavior, where we can open the image with a hyperlink and the user can zoom the image or share it via WhatApp etc. Afterwards, this popup can be closed again with the 'Done' button.The example on the right does not work properly, because the image cannot be closed, the only option is to restart the application. What should be the right way to achieve this in a proper way? SF/UI version 2024.3 / 2024.3.10

Full screen focus when clicking on a chartOpen

I am currently using a screen type with multiple details on the screen type. One of those details is a chart. I want this chart to be displayed on the full screen when you click on it (or perform another action). Furthermore, the normal screen type should be displayed when you click an X or something like that.

When the application is not reachable because of an upgrade can you force people to logout of your application? Because right now when people are still working and you put your application offline the users get some random errors.What i want is an AppOffline page or something. I want to create a under construction page which will only be displayed when the application is not reachable, instead of the login screen when you fill out your credentials and you will get a message something like “Application is not reachable”

Windows GUI deployment to multiple paths providing 'incorrect' new-version warning

Out situation is that we have 4 totally separate environments for each of the DTAP-environments.As we are using (also) the Windows GUI, and the fact that Thinkwise is advising to use the TWDeployer for installation, we install the Windows GUI to all 4 environments via 1 downloaded installer package.If we afterwards open for example the Windows GUI linked to the DEV-environment, and after that open the Windows GUI to the TEST-environment, we get the following message:This message ofcourse is incorrect as the installation is equal as stated before.A workaround is the install just for 1 environment, and then copy the binary's to the other 3 environments.If we do this, no ‘new version’-warning is displayed.Question is how others do this and if there is a way to follow the advised way of installation based on the Thinkwise Deployer. SituationSometimes we need to work with external data in our applications.In this case we have one, maybe two options:Create a table and a process flow with an HTTP connector to keep the data in sync. Create a view with a template that runs a CLR function which calls an API.Both of these options aren't perfect.With option 1 I’m saving data in the database which I don't want to manage, I need to setup a process flow to call the API & I need to write a procedure to merge the data. With option 2 I'm introducing an extra technology into my project with the risk of creating legacy software. Web Connector how to deal with form-data response.

I have an API that I call to extract certain pages from a PDF. The request seems to be ok. However I get a response in form-data back and I'm stock on how to process. < HTTP/1.1 200 OK< Date: Tue, 01 Oct 2024 14:36:40 GMT< Content-Type: application/pdf< Content-Disposition: form-data; name="attachment"; filename="QUERO%20QUERO%201S24_rearranged.pdf"< Content-Length: 518605Now I fetch it with @document_data, but it needs treatment to be correct. The previewer cannot read it because probably the content-disposition header should be stripped?

Make IAM great again: redesign screens to use less detailsOn the backlog

Now that customer success is the focus. Can we also put some love and care into IAM? A lot of the screens are loaded with detail upon detail upon detail. Here is a small snippet of one of these monstrosities. Working on a laptop screen using Iam is next to impossible. Using less details and maybe aggregate some information into 1 view instead of a lot of details would greatly benefit the useability. Or add AI so I can ask IAM if a certain user has access to a certain menu sub item.

control date output from date picker control

I have a Crystal Report that expects 2 dates as parameters.When I run a trace on the db using an extended event I can see what query the Crystal Repost is executing:exec "VMS"."dbo"."reporting_price_and_purchasing_headerinfo_v2";1 9, 1, N'1-1-2020', N'29-8-2024'The problem seems to be in the formatting of the date which is dd-mm-yyyy while the SP expects a DATE which is yyyy-mm-ddWhen I run the CR report manually and enter 2020-01-01 and 2024-08-28 as dates the trace shows:EXEC "VMS"."dbo"."reporting_price_and_purchasing_headerinfo_v2";1 9, 1, N'2020-01-01', N'2024-08-29'And the report shows the correct data.But how can I force the date picker in my Thinkwise application to output the selected date as yyyy-mm-dd rather than the more human readable (on this side of the big Atlantic puddle) dd-mm-yyyy?This question is related to my previous topic but the focus shifted from debugging to fixing a specific issue.

Web connector vs HTTP connector

I changed an existing HTTP connector to a web connector so we can change API key in IAM. Unfortunately there seems to be a difference in how the request body is forward. I have a generated request body that worked in the HTTP connector, type application/json In the web connector I've translated this in body type JSON and one input parameter that gets the generated body json. The API provider gives back a JSON parsing error on the web connector.

Performance Form List

@Yara Visser is actively working on a project that utilizes the form list and with the latest release of the U-GUI it's workable for this project (we needed the combos). However there is one performance thing, of which I am curious on how this can be improved. The form list uses a table, in which, you define your questions and answers. Whilst answers can be of different type a layout procedure has to be used to show the correct answer typed field. This is great of small form lists, but not for form lists that can have up to a 100 questions. I saw a test example of about 50 questions, which leads to 50 layout procedures to be fired. Can't we make this smarter? A typical call is 40-50ms .. if I have 100 questions this will be 4-5s.. This is a typical scenario of multi-row execution. Can't there be just one call from U-GUI for all the relevant rows in the form list?Any ideas on this @Arie V @Erik Brink @Vincent Doppenberg

Access Token MS Graph

Hi, I am looking for an option to retrieve an access token for MS Graph.In the SF I have defined an OAuth server connection and I log into the SF app using a Microsoft Account.The Oauth user login process action has an output variable "Access token” but even if I'm connected with MS account, i get a redirect to log in again. Is there any option for me to use or generate an access token when i’m connected with Microsoft without having any redirectons or pop-ups and also get it for later usage? Also, the "OAuth server login connector” provides with a token that I cannot use since it does not have delegated permissions. Kind regards,Paul

Appending a file via a write file connector not working

I’m trying to append to an existing file via a ‘Write file connector’, however a new file with a timestamp is created.The file name in the write file connector is a relative path within the storage location.Like so:This should result in ‘\CICD_MAIN_RELEASE\9.08.4\Deploy\Install\965_Base_data.sql’. The ‘Write file connector’ looks like this: Is the write mode ‘Append file’ not working correctly?

October 28, 2024:Full release 2024.3.11 (from release candidate 2024.3.11) Solved the following issues found in the release candidate: The date control flashed when choosing a different date from the one already set. This is fixed now. When updating the date, two PATCH requests were sent to Indicium. This is now a single request. Once a record was dropped into the grid, the records could not be dragged again. This is fixed now. In charts, Domain element translations were only shown for multi-series. Now also single-series are included. We improved tooltip behavior to hide it once the element is left by the mouse cursor. This way the user can't unexpectedly click a button by clicking its tooltip. We have fixed an issue where the subject could get unresponsive after dragging a splitter to resize its components. Radio button list with colors or images on UniversalOpen

For a new project I would like to show an image and/ or coloured text on the radio button list within the Universal GUI. For now i made a workaround to show the colours on the cardlist items after anwering an item. As far as i know this is allready supported on the Windows GUI.For example:Sterkte (highlighted in GREEN/ green bullit or green image) Zwakte (highlighted in RED/ red bullit or red image) etc.

Previously, in the Windows GUI, we could configure a set of fields to be placed on a new tab. This option still exists in the SF, but the Universal GUI places the fields under a field separator. We do not want to eliminate this functionality, but I would like to see the Universal GUI handle placing fields on a new tab in the same way as the Windows GUI.Currently, you can achieve the same result by creating a variant and displaying it through a reference. However, the drawback is that you can't change tabs while editing, and managing this setup involves much more work than when it can be done with a single subject or variant.Ideally, I would like the following:The "Field on next tabpage" option should ensure that the fields starting from this checkbox are placed on a new tab, working the same as in the Windows GUI. The "Field on next section" option should cause the fields from this checkbox to be placed under a field separator, similar to how the "Field on next tabpage" option currentl

U-GUI: Form tabs foldablePlanned

Hi. In the Universal GUI when you say in the SF to put something in the next tab it creates a new section. To have the same experience as putting something in the the next tab.. it would be nice have a section collapsable, so by default it doesn't clutter the screen and you can just fold it open when you want to see these details. And perhaps it can come with an extra setting to have only one section open at the time or multiple.. just like with pre-filters where you can have only one or more.

Especially with the introduction of the actionbar component, where you can freely position the actionbar it has become more a necessity to model the action groups of the actionbar. I see the taskbar has the following main groups:Filter Pre-filter Tasks Reports CRUD actions (incl. import/export) RefreshIt's not uncommon that you have a grid, form and for example a preview/cube/ or other element not being a reference.. If you put them all on a separate tab all the component gets all the action bar items. Functionally and personally this is unwanted. the filter, pre-filter and mass update for example do not make sense on a form level (exceptions are there of course) because you are looking at a single entity. In the U-GUI we use the previewer to load external apps.. Basically you don't want to have search, filter, CRUD actions there (again exceptions are possible)It would be really great if the option to hide action bar could be extended by modelling at screentype level which action-bar

StatementIn Universal, it should be possible to increase the field width of task parameters to the maximum available width (retrievable from the no. of form columns available).ProblemI have simple task that contains 2 parameters. But since these contain long texts I want these to display extra wide, the width of 2 or 3 form columns for example. I can give my task 3 columns in width with the task setting "No. of columns in form”. However, since I only have 2 parameters, this setting will be ignored and my task parameters will be displayed in 2 columns.Additionally, the standard field width or label width settings in the task parameter settings are also ignored, as the GUI thinks that there is enough space on my screen. For example when I set my task parameter widths to 500px.WorkaroundAs a work around I have now added 3 extra task parameters, read-only, with 0 label width and 0 field width, and have set my 2 relevant parameters "on next tab page”.
