Hi Anne, in the meantime I did get this working. I have created a Task. When clicked, it opens a specified table (always the same table), and it sets some vars. All ok for now. The current issue - ran into it last night - is that this works well on my windows app gui, but the pop-up fails in the Web gui. Here the task IS started - it takes a few secs and then the popup is opened as a second tab (next to the starting point). This makes me feel that popup are not supported in the web gui. Any thoughts on this specific problem? Cause if that is case, my whole workflow for the users needs to be a bit different. Or should it work, and did I mess up? Thanks! Alex
In the current situation I have 3 filters. All Vessels without owners All Vessel with an owner All vessel with ME as an ownerThe end user however wants to switch easily between the three (or no filter active). If you select one filter, you don’t need the other filters. Therefor, do not show them. DEselect the active filter, and the others re-appear. Currently I’ve grouped them so they disable each other, so you can’t turn on 2 at the same time. I just thought it would be nice to keep things clean.
Hi Erwin, I use the web interface. Does this make a difference?
@Erwin Ekkel thank you for looking in to it. let me know when it is fixed. the reason i'm looking into search is this; I have a table with A LOT of record. And it will grow as the app is used. So, performance wise I thought. Open the grid, do not load anything, search, and only show relevant lines. Now however with a filter I get all lines and only hide the irrelevant ones. Which makes my performance slower and takes up a lot more bandwith. Is there perhaps any other way this can be achieved?
Hi Bart, thanks, i did that for now. However, with 4 group labels, is should have 4 colors. Which makes it look like a rainbow. For now I colored one group, so create a focus point. However, this is not ideal because the colors of in both the grid and the form. And i only want to color my grid. In the grid I have less columns than in the form, so it looks a bit messy in the form with some fields not colored between the colored ones. Sure, I can color all fields, but that is also not ideal.
Thnx, I will look into this. Sounds promising!
It was set to Document. Change to Subject. No effect. When i turned “Await result” from NO to YES. it does refresh. So, solved. (no idea what other effects are on No/Yes for Await result..)
Hi Anne, Thanks for thinking along. This is an option, but it is decided that we are going to this with a Task (button top left) instead. So, it’s no longer needed. Perhaps you can help me with the next issue with this task. I have the task button, that generates the number based on the selected line. However, tasks do not work (if i’m correct) when in Edit-mode). When clicked, the number is generated and saved by Update-statement in the DB. All good. But the screen does not refresh after this, so the user won’t see the generated number; only if it is manually refreshed. How can I force a screen update after the task? Thanks!
Thanks @Anne Buit , I think that is what I wanted. Alt-enter works as well this way. Problem solved!
@René W Alt-enter does work if domain setting is set to HTML. Not in Multiline. So far, no option for a normal enter/text editing field without the Magnifier.
@René W I think this only works in Multiline. At least, it doesn't seem to work on my laptop. @Mark Jongeling Hmm, So far it's a no… Anyone ?
Thanks. In the basis it's ok but how can i type and "enter” this way>
Hi @Jeroen van den Belt , Thanks for thinking along! I already use quite a lot of checkbox for setting if the fields needs to be brought to the next screen. An extra checkbox with a different functionality might confuse the user. The dropdown might be a bit more user-friendly (gut feeling). I get the feeling that a simple button is not possible..? Alex
Works. Thanks.
