in the Docs i see a note regarding Brady tags, and there is an older Knowledge Session where the benefits of RFId are shared.. But currently - as far as I can find out - there is no option for reading tags directly with Universal. Is this correct? Will this be available in the future?

Hi,
For reading those tags you need a scanner device as offered on the Brady website. When the device is connected to the device where the Universal GUI is on, the output of a scan is usually just a string key. This key is posted to the field having the focus/cursor. This field might be just a normal text field.
Normal editing or task execution functionality can be used to process the value into the database.
