Runtime configuration switch between modal windows and modeless windowsClosed

Could the GUI support modeless mode? I get terribly frustrated at times by having to open multiple GUI's to an application, because a dialog is open in the first. I intend to keep that dialog open, but need to look up information in another screen to do side by side comparison, custom lookup or for a variety of reasons. This goes for task/report dialogs, lookup popups and the behaviour of multi-window documents (how is it called, when a tab is dragged out of the main window of the GUI? I'd like it to behave as a separate window, being raised when asked to do so when indicated by me and to stay low when not called upon, instead of all related GUI windows coming to the front when only one of them was clicked) For everyone who dotes on modal windows it could be the default, but I see no harm in a tiny switch in the runtime configuration that allows for 'modeless mode'.

Badges on prefilter buttonsOn the backlog

It would be nice to have badges on Prefilter Buttons, for example when prefilter buttons are used to filter rows by status. In that case the user can simply see the number of rows with certain statuses, and push the button to see the those rows. The application can be made more intuitive by this.

Being able to automatically assign a validation to a developerClosed

Sometimes we agree in my development team that specific validations should always be solved by the same developer. In that case we run the validations and assign them to the right person, using the assign task. Would you be interested in the idea to be able to arrange this in advance? We could add the developer field in the validation --> maintenance screen. When this field is filled, the validation task automatically assigns this validation to that developer. Of course you must be able to deviate manually afterwards for exceptions.

Prefilter to hide Validations that have no result ((?) Icon)Completed

Currently I have defined a user preference Prefilter to hide these Validations from the list to prevent a long list of unchecked validations. Can we make this Prefilter standard available?

Select a saved environment on sync from SF to IAMMerged

I wish to save credentials (HOST, DATABASE, UID) per environment (TEST, PROD, etc..) , so that it can be selected in the Synchronize popup.

New objects default sort by highest parent levelMerged

Currently the new objects screen is sorted alphabetically based on the object type. When assigning rights I feel like the logic way to work is from top to bottom, since the child rights function also assigns the child objects. Now you first get the columns and then the actual table it self. I would like the highest ranked objects at the top then the child level below etc. Example order :tabletable tasktable parametersetc.

Change order(number) of requirementsClosed

A quick idea, when writing up requirements, it is sometimes useful to have them in a certain order. You can do this by changing the ‘sequence no’ field, but you can only re-arrange so much. I’d like to have options available similar to the ones to re-arrange the column order number of a table. So move up, move down and re-number. Add a validation for no platform set to project versionClosed

If you have no platform set up in Project versions the application when run against the SF gives you this error:  Error while opening 'get_gui_translations_nav': The stored procedure 'get_gui_translations_nav' doesn't exist. Since this error gives the user no clue what to do. Add a validation: No platform set up in Project version.

Filter in Process analysis treeview without losing parent nodesMerged

As discussed here https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/ideas-18/filter-in-treeviews-without-losing-parent-nodes-279 it would be very handy that parent nodes stay in the treeview when filtering. I've had numerous occasions that I filter and lose all parent nodes and giving me no information about the parent or the parent of the parent. So I would like to see the parent nodes of entries whenever I filter in the way how Arjan described:  I usually solve this by using a hidden column, which contains the filter value of the parent node.

Full model in IAMMerged

In IAM it's quite difficult to keep track of new development, especially items that are nested somewhat deep into the application such as prefilters and task parameters. There is a task to make a new table available for a role and all items directly attached to it such as prefilters, table tasks and of course columns which I use frequently. But what this task doesn't do is enable the task parameters of a table task. I would therefor like a screen in IAM that could produce a list of all table parameters inside an application as a simple overview so it's easy to enable all necessary parameters for each role without having to dive into parameters task by task. I would like a similar list for prefilters, table tasks and possibly a few other items I'm overlooking now. These views could be part of a menu item similar to the full model screen in SF. I read that assigning rights to roles will be moved to SF which I think is a great development. I do hope my suggestion here becomes part of the new setup in some form.

Selective synchronisation of actions to IAMDeclined

When a project version is still under development, but is also being used on a production environment, it is sometimes needed to do small table rights adjustments or prefilter query changes.As in now, the whole action list will be executed. While working in a development project with multiple team members, it can happen that a team member for example adds a task parameter or report parameter. These new adjustments will be synchronized to IAM while still under development, but instead it would be safer to just synchronize the actions (i.e. i_sync_table_rights) you have adjusted yourself. This will especially prevent unwanted errors (i.e. missing parameter messages) on production environment and interruptions with the end users.

Changing prefilters in contextClosed

I have had a few occassions in which it would be helpful to be able to manipulate prefilters / look-up settings.   For example, I have a view which shows relationships of a selected relation. In the first column you have to select the kind of relationship, for example ‘employee’ or ‘competitor’. The second column is meant to select the relation. In this case, the relation look-up always shows all relations, which makes it possible to select a company as an employee and a person as a competitor.   This could be solved if there was a possibility to change the prefilters depending on the context.   Another possibility to solve this would be to be able to change look-up references: changing look-up table variant depending on the context.

Test Proces flow schedulerMerged

We have created a proces flow to an http connector and we want to schedule this flow. How can we test this ‘against’ the SF. Nothing found in the docs… Is there anywhere some trace where we can find if a scheduled flow has ran? We don’t see anything happen. Is additional installing required or something?Please update the docs with this information…(Also for this topic, please change it to quesion. The portal keeps telling me to select a kind of topic however the question type is chosen….)

relations between tasks in resource schedulerCompleted

In the activity scheduler it is possible to show relations between the tasks, in the resource scheduler this is not yet possible (the extender properties are included though).I have a situation where multiple tasks have to be performed by multiple resources, and it can be difficult to distinguish which tasks belong together.It would be great to be able to show the dependencies of tasks, possibly the same way the activity scheduler does.

Hi, We would like to be able to translate the following fields/tooltip in the newly implemented scheduler views. As far as I know it's not a GUI object that we can manipulate.  It would be cool if the translation could take account of the application language setting as well.  Thanks!

SF Code search: include assigned parameter values in search resultsDeclined

As in title: let's include assigned values of template parameters in code search!As of 2019.2, a quick test showed that the value assigned to such a parameter is not found when doing a code search.The workaround is to include generated code in the search, but that tends to return superfluous results.

Functionality: Clear filter on details when changing the main rowClosed

In the SF functionality screen if you have a filter active on the templates screen and switch rows in the control procedure screen the filter will still be active on templates. It makes no sense for the filter to still be active since in most cases the search was based on the previous control procedure. Please clear the filter on any detail screens (template, assigning etc) when switching the main rows on control procedure.

Add new Domains on the DB without generating the entire branchClosed

I would very much like to have an option to generate a specific (new) domain without having to generate the entire project. During development it can become very time consuming to have to generate the project every time you add some domains.    My suggested changes:  In the Domains screen add a view to create the domain to the db (which would work just like functionality - result) in the Creation - Upgrade step: add some logic to check if a domain already exists (and is not altered).

SF - model validations: add a badge with no. of hitsClosed

 CaseOne of the powerful features of the SF is having all functionality in a model that can be checked on integrety. Validations point at weaknesses in an implementation and point in the right direction to solve those weakneses.An application with no validation warnings and errors is inherently of better technical quality than an application with errors. A platform upgrade is easier on an application without warnings or errors.ProblemEven so, over time warnings and errors tend to creep into models.SolutionIt would be helpful to have a badge on the validations that counts the number of validation messages.BenefitsThe count can function as a very crude measure of overall quality. It would help in estimating the time needed to resolve validation hints. Exhibit 1: While validation messages are displayed, it is impractical to count them. How much time does it take to solve all warnings, if on average it takes 10 minutes per message? Exhibit 2: While the total number of messages is available, it is difficult to find out how many errors and warnings there are.

Support for a relative url as serviceUrl in Universal GUIOpen

Use of a single Universal login and Indicium to serve multiple user groups from the same App, we would like to create a sudo feeling of a URL and uniqueness that each one has it’s own application, even though it is the exact same. User group 1 will access via App1.somedomain.comUser group 2 will access via App2.somedomain.com The URL used for accessing the Universal GUI login should be the relative url in the Meta Server Url (serviceUrl) in the login page. Provided to work the relative domains URL needs to be added to the CORS AllowedOrigins for Indicium not to be blocked.
