It would be very useful as a user to have multiple variants of a table grid, like is already possible with cubes.

As a developer I would like to define different views and make them available to end users, but also administrators and end users should be able to do that and then share it with other users. It must also be possible to duplicate views, in order to be able to modify them again and save them under a different name.

The following things should be part of a gridview:
- Filter (Where Clause)
- Columns Order and Widths
- Sort Order

Hi Harm,

Similar ideas have been posted in the past:

Kevin Horst

Both ideas express the wish to be able to save certain “configurations”, to switch between them and to share them with each other. The second idea was submitted by yourself, in which you also referred to the filter, sort order and grid settings.

Therefore, in my opinion these ideas should be merged with each other. Of course, you can always elaborate in the comments on new considerations regarding the business case or implementation.
