Select reciprocal merge as default for DEVELOP->RELEASE and RELEASE->MAINNew

Protected branchesSince the branches RELEASE and DEVELOP are automatically protected and recognized as persistent and protected it would be nice that when the popup for “Create merge session” has the reciprocal merge as default. RELEASE and DEVELOP won’t be likely to be archived afterwards.It’ll prevent that you accidentally archive such a branch and it save a few clicks.

Allow updating program object code with disabling parameter detection of bracketed words.New

When your code contains bracketed words, like [server_name], that are not intended as parameters, you can not edit the code of the program object from the “deploy” tab of a control procedure.The brackets do not have the function of signifying a parameter here, but to make sure the server name is a qualified name that can include spaces.Having an option in the control procedure to disable parameter detection would avoid this message and allow you to make changes to the program object (generated) code.

Improve the workflow for creating new control procedures, and make the signature of an program object appear as comment in template.Open

When creating a new control procedure and template for a program object, such as a default or a layout, these are the general steps:create control proc assign placeholder template to prog_object_item which creates a template automatically generate the prog_object copy the parameters of the program object paste it in the template. Write your code and delete the pasted signature.These are a lot of steps, which imho can be done in one flow after creating your control proc and assignment. It will save a lot of clicks and screen switching.

Make code review (not) mandatory per model or branchOpen

Code review being mandatory is a global SF setting right now.sf_configFor some models, you don’t want to mandatory code review. For instance if you have a model where only one developer works on.Alternatively, make an overwrite setting per model/branch that overrules the default setting in sf_config.

How to "unprotect" a branch named DEVELOP

In this topic it was suggested to make the DEVELOP branch unprotected. I’ve deleted all branches that has DEVELOP as origin, but it is still protected and I can not “un-protect” it. Please advice.NVM. I found out once I’ve deleted all branches, I can set the checkbox Protected manually.

Creating a new RELEASE branch

So we want to implement branches as described in this article:Manage branches with Thinkwise | Thinkwise Community (thinkwisesoftware.com)And the automatically protected branch names:https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/overview#:~:text=corresponding%20runtime%20configuration.-,Protect%20a%20branch%E2%80%8B,remove%20protection%20as%20needed.,-You%20can%20recognizeIn our current situation, we have feature branches with origin DEVELOP, with origin MAIN. How can we create a branch RELEASE between DEVELOP and MAIN?Let’s say we roll-up all our branches back to the main and archive them.  Then we can create a RELEASE branch from the main, but then we can’t create a branch named DEVELOP from the release branch, since there is already a archived branch DEVELOP. And we can’t rename it either.Some advice?

Deploying unsigned assembly

For a CLR procedure it is possible to register an DLL assembly, so both can be deployed with the Software Factory.However, this will fail when the assembly is not signed. Platform Release 2024.1: Windows GUI does not start with SF as metasource (Expected column 'sf_sts_no' in 'get_gui_gui_appl'.)

We have installed the platform Release 2024.1. After that, we can not start the Windows GUI with the SF as metasource.
