Creating an api to start a system flow

Hi, I have used the following guide to create an api call to my Systemflow in Insomnia.This works like a charm, the system flow is working and callable. I am now trying to setup another process-flow that uses a task to start an API call to the system flow, but I am getting the following error: The remote server returned an error: (411) Length Required. I have to admit my knowledge of API's is very limited, I tried to setup the http connector with the same settings as I used in Insomnia. As input for the http_connector i have the following input: https://[server]/indicium/iam/clevrr_test/test_api_system_flow (same URL as the working one in insomnia). Http method is set to: POST. I have tried to use authentication username + password as well, but that does not work. Do I need to send empty content? Is there something Insomnia does, that is not done automatically by the http_connector? What am i missing? Tnx in advance.

Exclude added_by/added_on from auto generated update handlerCompleted

It would be nice if the auto generated update handler would not include the added_by and added_on trace fields. Because they are automatically included in the update handler you have to set a value for them, even though technically those two fields should never be overwritten. There are workarounds ofcourse, but i’d rather use the auto generated update handler as is. Our project is in Dutch, so if langauge can also be considered when excluding the added trace fields, that would be nice, because we are using toegevoegd_op en toegevoegd_door as added_by/on.

Database stored images are greatly reducing performance

We have an item database with about 50.000 records, limited to 200 records (we need 200, this cannot be lowered for better performance) a lot of records contain an image with the varbinary database storage method. I am unfortunately not able to test if the images are the cause of the performance lag, but i am quite sure, because within seconds there are 100's of mb's used when viewing the item table (other larger tables with just text cause no problems). The problem only occurs on the windows client not on universal, and the problem is exaggerated on wifi or vpn because of the mb's that are transferred to the clients. I have tried to hide the image column (the one for viewing) but the performance dip stayed. Almost as if it is slowed by the existence of the image blob varbinary column. Is the system perhaps trying to show the full images instead of smaller thumbnails? is there a way to limit the mb usage while viewing the grid?

Label/Field width in settings(Possible bug?)

If i enter values for Label or Field width in Subjects>Settings no changes seem to happen (If i enter Field height this do change it for every column for that table). If I enter values for Label or Field width per cell via Subject>Components>Form the width change does happen. Although then, if a field is added later, this does not have the same properties of course because it reverts to the defaul values. Is this a possible bug? Am i missing something?

Possible Bug - Lookup (no combo) in grid

This might be a bit of a bug. If i adjust the lookup from combo to suggestion contains instead of the drop down box we get the magnifying glass as lookup button. But it is only visible when the field is a certain number of pixels wide. If we change the field lookup to suggestion contains, should the field be auto set wider? or should the lookup button always be visible, with a bit of space to click for typing as well?Example: https://imgur.com/DqXLDyZ

HTTP connector pass variable to system flow

I am having troubling setting up a http connector to pass a variable to my system flow. It is not working for me with either Thinkwise or insomnia. I made a system flow to make a certain process a true background process which is called by starting a system task to http connector in a process flow, that in turn starts the background system flow, this is all working fine. The only trouble I am having is I am a bit lost when it comes to setup the variable handoff from the process flow to the system flow. I have tried sending the content with and without wrappers (although insomnia give error 500 with the wrappers, 204 without). I have enabled deeplinking for the variable in the system flow. I am at my wits end. I am using a task in the first process flow to fill the parameter: api_content_input ( i am filling with just 1 employee_id) then sending it to the http connector. Then in the system flow i am trying in the first process to pick up the api_content_input variable fill @employee_id

Task tiles

I am trying to setup a page with the screen type Task tiles, but i am not having much luck. I know from another topic that they do not work in Universal (even though the example in docs show the task tiles in universal), but i am using the Windows GUI. I have attached tasks to my table, but other than in the task bar the task are not showing up on the task tiles. Am i missing something really simple?The same goes for Report tiles by the way.

How to deal with pop-ups opening on primary monitor

If you use multiple monitors, one has to be the primary (in windows). It can be quite annoying to have popups open on the primary monitor, while the application is open on a secondary monitor. Also it doesn’t seem to be consistent. A task will open on the same monitor regardless if its primary or another, but a popup screen or things like location will open on the primary monitor.Is there any way to steer/influence this behaviour? Without messing with the primary display setting in windows.We are using the windows gui.

Refreshing data using auto-edit in grid

I am using the Windows GUIGIF with an example of what goes wrong: https://imgur.com/x1l7De5I have a list in a grid where only 1 record can be the standard. Using the handler i make sure other records who were standard are disabled when another record is made standard. The downside is the refresh of the data is not working right. I can understand it going wrong going from tick to tick, because i am never really leaving a row without going into edit mode of the next. But when i do click away from an updated record nothing happens, unless i click on that record. It only really refreshes all data when i press F5.

Task refresh after execute in a process flow

When i set a task to refresh after execute to document(in the tasks table task settings), but also include the task as the starting point of a process flow, it seems the refresh is no longer executed. Is this behaviour intented or a bug/oversight? Because although i can use a refresh action in the process flow, the task refresh, does the entire screen. In the process flow i’d have to know exactly all the tables that are in screen and need to be refreshed. Without building the process flows dynamically is there i way i could achieve both? Have the task refresh the entire document and be the starting point of my flow? Tnx in advance.The reason i need the task(1) in the process flow is to start another task(2) that has a windows command, i also need the task(1) itself because it has a template.

Universal: Possible to enforce the density setting?

The universal UI has two options for density: compact and comfortable. Is there a way to force this per user/user group to set it to comfortable? The option is set to compact by default and even if you change it for a user, manually, it resets if you clear cache.

Auto generated update handler

In our project we have added trace fields, the ‘problem’ we are having with auto generated update handlers is that [added_by] and [added_on] are part of the update handler. This means they are either overwritten of you have to do a select of the current added_by/added_on when exec an auto generated update handler. Is there a better way around this problem? Other than manually making each update handler or doing a select before executing, this feels like wasted performance. I understand that trace_fields is a seperate project that we’ve added, but i’ve seen it in many thinkwise projects, also the SF itself uses trace fields.

Horizontal scrolling windows gui

Hi,In the windows GUI the horizontal scroll bar seems to be tied to Zoom in/out (ctrl+up/down) instead of Side scroll. Mouses with extra scrollwheels make side scrolling a lot easier, but to benefit the user would need to change the scroll wheel from side scroll to zoom, losing that functionality in every other program.Universal does work as expected on a mouse with a side scroll wheel. Is there any way to change this behaviour? Thanks in advance.

Getting a -5 from a generate report action which should only go as low as -4

Is it possible that the docs was not updated https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows_connectors#generate-report ? it says theres a status code as low as -4 but i am getting a contraint error on the output parameter because it is trying to output -5. Now i am not 100% sure there isn’t something weird going on in my process and the -5 is coming from somewhere else. But to rule it out would be nice to get some confirmation. Thanks.

GridEditUpdateUsingRefreshOption extended propery not working as expected

Simular to this users experenience but not quite:When using GridEditUpdateUsingRefreshOption yes, we found it was only working on windows gui against the SF not against IAM. When i added GridEditUpdateUsingRefreshOption to the global runtime configurations in IAM it was working in all of our DTAP enviroments. But when trying to figure out why it works, what overrules what. I tried seeing if an application extended property could overrule the global runtime config, and in doing so, GridEditUpdateUsingRefreshOption stopped working. I tried the task resetting extended properties, deleting GridEditUpdateUsingRefreshOption in the application, and adding it again, i tried deleting and adding GridEditUpdateUsingRefreshOption to the global configuration, i tried closing and reopening my gui after every step. I have tried application pool recycling and restarting indicium. Whatever i tried, in our Acceptance the GridEditUpdateUsingRefreshOption is no longer working. In the windows gui against d
