When running unit tests/synchronization remember credentialsCompleted

When you run unit tests you can either use Windows Integrated Authentication or manually enter your credentials. When you select the latter, there is no pre-entered data. In other parts of TSF (for instance when you want to generate a definition and connect to the database) the same data is pre-entered. But not when running unit test. Pre-entering it there as well would save a lot of time, especially when developing (and you want to run it multiple times to see if it is working).

Possibility to add relationship between work itemsCompleted

At the moment it is not possible to link work items by a relationship. These relationships would make planning iterations easier and would add to maintaining overview of work items. Possible relationships could be: blocks * clones duplicates split caused by relates to * solves Relationships with an * would have the highest priority for us.

Possibility to add estimation to work itemsCompleted

Like us, most companies will use estimations when working on work items. For instance, when refining during a Scrum meeting. Estimations are an integral part of Scrum and form the basis for keeping control of the project. Currently it is not possible to effectively add estimations to work items. We mostly work with hours as estimation based on the Fibonacci sequence, but other systems are used in other companies (t-shirt sizes etc.).

Rich text editing in work item descriptionCompleted

We'd like to have rich text editing capabilities on the Description field of Work items. Right now we feel we have insufficient possibilities to style work items in a way that make them more readable for other users (and for the author). I know the field can be enlarged using the magnifying glass icon, but that only makes the field larger.

Possibility to add custom fields to a work itemOpen

We're currently missing the possibility to add custom fields to a work item. For instance: we want to use it to indicate whether or not a DPIA is deemed necessary, the origin of the work item etc. Of course we can just type that in the Description field, but then it wouldn't be possible to query on that field effectively and it wouldn't be sustainable for us.

Can I use SQL code to enter default in the Software Factory?

Hello! A question. I want to fill a column in a table with a default value. I can do this in many ways, but normally in SQL I can do something like this: ALTER TABLE MijnTabel ADD CONSTRAINT DF_xxx DEFAULT GETDATE() FOR MijnKolom Something like this. I wanted to do the same thing within the SF, but it seems that is not possible. What I did was go to the table and then fill in 'GetDate()’ as the default for that column. However, then I get a message during deployment that there was a problem converting the varchar to a date. In short, it sees 'GetDate()’ not as a function, but as a string (the single quotes were added too). Long story short: is it possible to use GetDate() as a default from within the SF, or should I use another method (f.i. create a default that automatically fills this field with the current date) BTW: there is a slight difference between these two: if I were to use GetDate() as the default, it would get the date when the record was added. Unsure how to write specific unit test

Hello all, I have a question about unit tests. We're currently working on getting to grips with this subject. But I'm kinda stuck on one specific unit test. I have a default that I want to test. It is a simple one that removes spaces from a string, as follows: if @cursor_from_col_id = '[field]'and @[field] is not nullbegin set @[field] = REPLACE(@[field], ' ', '');end; But now I'm lost when adding the input parameters for the unit test. I'm choosing 'postal_code’ as a parameter with input '1234 AB’. But when I run the test it just returns '1234 AB’ (so it failed). I also tried adding 'cursor_from_col_id’ with input 'postal_code’ as an input parameter, but that also didn't work. Looking forward to your answer!

In Universal RC 2.1.0 versions are showing that are inactive

First off: I'm hoping it's OK that questions are asked about Universal, especially since it is an essential part of our current development. We've set all our project versions to Inactive (except the current branch), but nonetheless all our project versions show up in the left bar of Universal. Our current project has a larger number of Inactive project versions, so the list gets very long.

In Universal 2.1.0 tasks from the menu are not started

We're currently testing our project in Universal. We've seen that tasks from the menu work in the current interface, but are not starting from Universal. When we click them we get the following error:

Possibility to unassign a work itemClosed

You can assign a work item to an employee. But unfortunately you can't unassign a work item. We'd like to see that this gets added, so that we can use this to better see which work is ready, and which work items are still available.

Full-fledged comments section on work itemsOpen

Comments are essential to refine a work item. I'm aware there is a section 'Discussion’, but this is too limited in our view. Possibilities that we'd like to see are: possibility to mention other employees (that get notified via mail) possibility to follow a work item (meaning you automatically get notified of updates made) possibility to respond to the comments of others possibility to format your comment (f.i. to distinct code from regular text)

How to make an add form directly active

I want to have a form that I can open from my menu directly. To do this, I've created a variant, linked it to a screentype with only a form, and added it to my menu. This went well. I've also deleted some of the buttons at the bottom to leave only the Add and Refresh button. I've also checked 'Start empty with filter’. I'm almost where I want to be. The user must still push the + button to activate the form. I want the form to be active by default so the user can start typing right away. How can this be done? Many thanks in advance!

Requirements to become a certified TW associate?

In the eLearning environment of TW the last step is an exam to become a 'Certified Thinkwise Associate’. At the moment I'm not sure what the requirements are? Is the exam about ALL the courses available, so including SQL and reporting Is it required to have done all the exercises (also from SQL) Are there any other requirements other than the courses available? I'm also curious in what form the exam is held. Open questions, multiple choice, cases etc. Perhaps an example exam to prepare would be nice, maybe that is already available?
