Mock data set based on viewCompleted

At this moment the Software Factory does not support creating mock data based on views. This means that functionality that is based on a view cannot be covered by unit tests. I’m not sure if it is, but a work around could be to fill all the tables on which the view depends on with mock data, but this could get very time consuming and not necessary if you don’t want to test the view itself. If it would be possible to create mock data based on views, then the Software Factory can for example:Rename the existing view Create a mock table based on this view, with the original name add the mock data After the unit test has completed, the mock table can be dropped and the view renamed to it’s original name.

Make mock data value expression fields readibleCompleted

When configuring mock data, you have the option to use expressions to fill the mock data values. However, they are not readible in the SF as the field is covered in a horizontal scrollbar. Can we make the fields wider or higher so we can read the fields, without opening an external text editor with the pencil?

Execute control procedure from process flow step screenCompleted

During the construction of a process flow, process steps must be adjusted regularly. If you already have code attached to these steps, you will often see that the GUI generates an error message because the parameters for the process procedures have to be generated again. If that is the case, we need to look at that process step to see which process procedure is attached to it, then look it up in control procedures and re-generate the code groups and execute the generated code. It would be nice to be able to do this directly from a process step, so we don't forget these actions and run into frustrating errors in the gui. In addition, it would also be nice to be able to do this from the process parameter (or process flow/design) screen, so that when a new process variable is created, the code from all steps in the process flow can also be easily re-generated and executed. I understand that the above solution might be a bit short-sighted or that there is a solution that fits a bit better

tooltip for disabled tasks/detailsOpen

Hello, we prefer to disable tasks for users rather than hide them completely, so that a user knows that the task is still present, but not applicable to that particular record. However, it is currently difficult to indicate WHY the task is not available. Sometimes this is obvious and can be inferred from the name, but sometimes you would like to offer a user more information. We would like to be able to provide a tooltip to a disabled task (or detail) either through a context procedure or through translation objects or in some other way, so that we can inform the user why the task or detail is disabled. The context procedure would be best, as the reason why a task/detail is grayed out can be multiple, which are defined in the control procedure. Translation objects would work, but is not preferrable because then we have to describe ALL the reasons in the tooltip, leaving the user to figure out for himself which reason applies to him at that moment.

Disable unit testing on productionOpen

At this moment it's possible to run unit tests on a specific database and server configured in a runtime config. Running unit tests on Production (and sometimes even Acceptance) can be pretty tricky. If the unit test were to fail due to an transaction mismatch, the transaction might not be rolled back, which can result in serious data loss.  To prevent this from happening, maybe its an idea to define if running unit tests is allowed on a runtime config level. And off course make sure this is blocked when a developer triggers unit tests via this runtime config.

'Squashing' upgrade scripts assigned to specific branches

Hello! I’m still not quite sure if this works the way i would expect this to work and how i can make sure it does. I’ve had several situations where a datamodel change in a branche has resulted in a manual upgrade script, which i assigned to a specific point in time for that model/branche, after enabling ‘use upgrade logic’ on the ‘model versions’-screen. This appears to be working fine for the creation of the branche. After merging the branche in the trunk and starting the creation process for the origin trunk, the manual upgrade script was not automatically assigned. I expected that the assignment was ‘squashed’ between point in times (between last upgrade time in database and current time) and the manual upgrade script was assigned in the trunk as well. The only was for this to work right now is to assign it as ‘always’, but this can be problematic as some manual upgrade scripts are designed to be executed just once, and they will be executed by a later upgrade as well.So how exactl

Disable subjects logical concept when last template is disconnectedOpen

In the SF, when you assign a template to the code group of a subject/table. The SF automatically enables a checkbox in the subjects’ settings to enable the logic concept, for example for defaults, layouts and contexts.  However, when you ‘unassign’ the last template to a subjects’ code group, the checkbox is not unchecked, which always results in a error in the GUI. This forces you to manually go to the subject and uncheck the checkbox.  We would like this process to be automatic, in which the SF checks if no templates are assigned to subjects logical concept, automatically resulting in disabling the checkbox for that logical concept in the subjects’ settings.

Copy value in list copies the entire record

When we select the value of a column in a list and paste it, the entire record is copied to the clipboard. Can we make it so that only the selected part of the record is copied? Should i create an idea for this or is this something you cannot influence in the Universal GUI?

Make validations part of the merging processOpen

Hello, we have recently started using the latest version of the SF and are extremely happy with the ease of branching and merging and are trying to ensure stability with unit tests and smoke tests.Currently, a branch can be merged into the trunk without having to do any validation. We would like to make running validations part of the merge process, as is currently done in the upgrade process. At the moment this is already possible of course, but it would be more convenient to see the merge sessions on one screen.Personally, we would at least like to see if there are unfinished/failed unit tests, if there are unfinished/failed smoke tests and if there are control procedures that are still under development/in review.

Change detection in default editable list

Hello, As far as i can see, it seems that auto-edit in grid disables change detection. I’ve enabled auto refresh (1 second) I’ve enabled Edit and Auto-edit on the Grid I’ve enabled Change detection I’ve confirmed that change detection query works in the windows GUI.I can see that the change detection is called in developer tools on a record with a detail to an empty subject, but when i change te row to a record which has data in it’s detail tab, the change detection is not called anymore.Is this something that i’ve modelled wrong, is it a bug or is it something that will be implemented in the future, and if so, when can we expect this to work? Thanks in advance.

Include upgrade scripts assigned to version when between upgrade from/to versionCompleted

At this moment, when you upgrade an accept environment from version 1.61 to 1.66 for example, upgrade scripts that are linked to a specific version between version 1.61 and 1.66 are not included. I think the upgrade scripts that are linked to version 1.64 for example, should be included in the upgrade from 1.61 to 1.66 as well. This could be accomplished by assigining the control procedure to after_upgrade_always, but this means that you need to unassign the control procedure after the upgrade, especially when you are using the control procedure template to migrate/convert data from the old structure to a new structure for example.This is also not the ideal situation when you’re reaching for automatic deployment with an azure pipeline for example.

Use the SQLEditor domain in UniversalOpen

We would like our end users to be able to write small pieces of code to create validations in our end product. These validations can be used to validate for example products, production lines and other entities before they are activated and can be used in the application by other departments. For this, the sqleditor domain would be ideal.

Process testing on Universal

Hello, We’re currently working on our CI/CD processes where we let Azure Devops Pipelines automatically deploy our environments. To validate whether the deployed environment is stable, we execute unit tests. This will give us an idea of the stability, but ideally we would also like to (automatically) execute process tests. This is currently not available in the Universal GUI and i don’t think we can execute them automatically on the Windows GUI.So my question is when we can expect to run process tests in the Universal GUI and can we execute these process tests with for example odata calls? Or will there be an other way to execute these process tests automatically after deployment? We’ve read the below topic but it doesnt really give a clear answer and is already a year old. We’ve hoped that there might be more information available at the moment.

Allow regex in code search

Hello, is it currently possible to search in the ‘code search’-field with a regex? I would like to query all control procedures where there is still ‘hard’ queried on a integer id, like: where production_plant_id = 1I want to search not only for the production_plant_id fields, but all ‘_id’-fields where %‘_id’ = [0-9]%. Is this possible?

Retrieve Thinkwise installation package through odata call TCP

At this moment its not possible to download the Thinkwise installation package from TCP via Indicium. This results in 'An unknown error occured, please contact your adminstrator’. We would like to download the Thinkwise Installation Package through an Odata call, but we cannot seem to get it to work. It would be great to automate the process of upgrading our Thinkwise stack (universals, indiciums, IAMs and maybe even the SF).  Is there any way right now to automate the process of retrieving the installation package or are there any ideas to enable this in the near future?

Create roles SF

Hello, at this moment there are very few roles to use in the SF. We’ve currently allowed members of the BI-team to access the Software Factory to analyze the data model and we expect to allow testers in the near feature as well, to register test cases and runs. Is it possible for us to create roles or for you to provide roles that’ll give users limited access in the SF?Thanks in advance. Dear regards,Bram.

Azure devops PBI/tasks integration SF

Hello,some time ago i heard some rumours to create an integration in the SF to retrieve PBI’s and tasks from Azure Devops. Format process flow API's response headers

Hello, I’m trying to model an process flow API which adds emails to a queue. I’ve got this all working, but i want to inform the sender that the email was correctly added, by returning the emails’ ID and status. I would like to use the response headers for this, but i’m experiencing some problems as into how i would format this correctly in SQL.  According to the documentation (https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows#enable-the-message-protocol-independent-web-service) the response headers should be formatted like this: { "Header1": [ "value1", "value2" ], "Header2": [ "value"] }    My question is how i should archieve a format like that in SQL? I thought i could just format my variables like a json body by selecting them in a subquery with ‘for json path’, but that results in errors. I think this  feature was developed by you with supportive sql functions in mind to achieve this more easily. What is the correct way to achieve the format which Indicium accepts?
