Using the Windows GUI it's possible to perform a check on the entered value and (re-)place the cursor in the desired field using cursor_to_col_id in a Default procedure. This only works when the user uses [Enter].A same kind of validating is needed in Universal GUI, but then should also “be aware” of the user leaving the field using [Tab].
We use 4 prefilters for a number of screens:show everything show only location A show only location B show only location CThe prefilters are grouped in an exclusive group. Is it possible to overrule the default setting ("show everything") based on a value stored in the database per user? So that user 1, for example, gets the prefilter "show only location A" as the active prefilter, while for user 2 "show only location C" is set to active by default?
With version 2021.1.12 of the Universal GUI a barcode control is released. But it looks like something is wrong with this control. When we use this control, the entry fields are not shown on the task-form. Instead there is a empty space on the form….As soon as we change the domain of those fields (just remove the barcode control), regenerate and synchronise to IAM the entry fields are visible again….Adding the barcode control to those fields makes them disappair again…..
Is it possible to set the padding of columns when using Universal GUI? Although the Universal GUI provides a nice readable screen, it is sometimes desirable to display more data on one screen. Certainly with mobile devices it may therefore be desirable to have less "white space" and to be able to display the data a bit closer together.
In the blog “New in Universal (dec 2020): More process flows actions, install as PWA, form column settings and more improvements” Erik mentioned “The form in task and report popups listens to the SF setting for Number of cols in form”. Looks like we’re experiencing some sort of bug, because using Universal 1.8 we only get all the fields in 1 column….Changing the setting to 2 gives an expected result in the Windows GUI, but Universal keeps using only 1 column…When the number is set to 2 it looks like the form starts with 2 columns and then switches back to 1 column (in a split second).I've tested this situation (and experienced the problem) using Edge and Chrome.
Pop-up screens (using Universal GUI) show numeric fields straight through the respective labels. This problem occurs when using Chrome and Edge. With mutable fields, the content of the field does become visible when it receives focus (by clicking), but as soon as the focus disappears from the field the number and label shift again. By changing the designation MultiInputLabel to MultiInputLabel-shrink in the HTML code, the problem (for that session) seems to disappear.
Since some versions we have a problem with the Universal GUI after updating. The setting "requestFiltering removeServerHeader = true" in the web.config file causes a 500.19 HTTP error when starting the Universal GUI.If we remove the lines below from web.config, the problem is gone. <security> <requestFiltering removeServerHeader = "true" /> </security> The problem is also present with the most recent update.
In the app we are currently building we have a screen with 7 items. When we only had 6 items, the screen was shown in 1 column. After we have added an extra item (number 7) the screen is divided into 2 columns, while the screen could be made larger to show all items in 1 column. Can we set this up somewhere? We use the Universal GUI. It does not seem to respond to the "No of columns in form" setting NB. In the Windows GUI the (7) items are shown in 1 column
How can we use the cursor_to_col_id parameter in a default procedure when using Universal GUI?In this question it's mentioned this parameter only works when leaving the field by using the [Enter]-key. But using Universal GUI it's not possible to use [Enter] to leave a field.Especially if a user works on a mobile device .
In the mobile-GUI the filter-field automatic gets focus. In the Universal-GUI no field has focus. By setting the focus to the filter-field, the user can use a barcodescanner to enter data (without first having to give focus to the field).
